  • As a singer Bernardo Lanzetti was sure an acquired taste; people either love his voice or cannot stand it. Lots of PFM fans prefer the earlier albums without him, but Chocolate Kings is my favourite.

  • @fabrikk60 Same here! Technically this LP is actually superior to the previous 3, but they embarked on a different musical path that many hard core fans didn't like. I'm glad they did it :)

  • Here's my PFM story. I was a teen in Montreal and one day I was tuning the radio at random, looking for distant stations. A faint signal came in — the sound of a violin. I carefully tuned it and listened. And listened. Some American station was playing this AMAZING music. What was it? Please, please, please don't fade out, signal, until I find out who this is! And then the announcer told me. The next day I went to the store and bought Photos of Ghosts. :)

  • Ma quanto erano bravi 'sti fenomeni....

  • Awesome!

  • awesome

  • Awesome, never heard the jam in the middle before. Also nice to see a Ripper in action!

  • Bernardo Lanzetti è stato il miglior "vocalist" di questo eccellente gruppo!

  • One of my favorite bands ever!

  • Don't suppose we'll see these guys on the Grammy's anytime soon.

  • @stokepogue They won the prog rock grammy awards in 2007 for "Stati D` Immaginazione" :P

  • An extremely talented bunch of musicians. Thanks for posting.

  • Great video! PFM had such great positive energy!

New bands, PFM just schooled you, with this performance!

  • They sound really good-I think I still own an album that featured that vocalist in his pre-PFM group, Acqua Fragile.

  • Is there any way to get the audio to sync more closely with the pictures? Its a problem quite common on YouTube.

  • Gibson The Ripper Bass

  • as time goes by the open alusions to Genesis,Crimson and ELP grow meaningless, and PFM holds its own SPECIAL place in Rock history. A great LIVE act, wonderful muicians who delivered the goods... always!

  • @andreaprodan I'm a huge fan of PFM but I wouldn't elevate them above Genesis, King Crimson or ELP. Indeed, while I have my issues with ELP's excesses, I'll always thank them for getting the Manticore label to bring PFM to my doorstep.

  • sono unici al mondo grazie di esistere

  • brilliant song, brilliant band, thx for the post

  • Premiata sounds like Premiata. They have a style of their own, even changing musicians.

  • bernado vocal = peter gabriel genesis

  • exactly

    grazie mille

  • Che basso è quello?

  • Comment removed

  • Che basso è quello?

  • Sounds Gentle Giant-ish.

  • @hope2prosper Only Gentle Giant sounds Gentle-Giantish! But I think I see what you're referring to, especially during that unique solo in this video.

  • troppo forte bernardo!!!!!

  • La migliore formazione della P.F.M con Lanzetti alla voce!!!!!

  • A tratti sembra la voce di Peter Gabriel

  • Thanks a lot for this rare video! I grewed up with this numbers! Thanks again from a "boy" borned near QT8. Do you remember it?

  • Per Anarchyadam who does'n know QT8 (M1 red line..metro stop..) doesn't know milan nor the PFM. DOn't worry... we do remember!! :-) Frank

  • Saw them at The Empire in Liverpool at the tender age of 16, first concert, and loved every minute!

  • WOW! I have waited 32 years to see this again, they NEVER appear on those OGWT DVD's - at last!

  • I remember seeing this back in 1976! It annoyed me at the time that the director almost always failed to get the right camera on the lead instrument,it still does!

  • I love PFM, but THAT is some BAAAAAD lip synching there that is. Instrumentation is genuine though.

  • it's not lip synching, is only the audio that's not in synch with the video for some compression problem

  • @partyneutral

I think the problem is that the whole audio track is out-of-sync, not lip syncing per se.

  • Seen them in 1976 at Leith Town Hall,Edinburgh.

They were first class best live band I have had the pleasure in seeing. The support act was Backdoor.

    Some sod stole my progamme.

  • what a great voice, such a shame lanzetti quit pfm after only three great albums

  • Great Clip. Love both eras of early PFM. Sad I never got to see them LIve back then

  • Great song from PFM's best era.

  • This is the first time that I see Lanzetti in action.

    Thank you for this video
