Whenever I do rpc's I only post them on my characters facebook.I have edited fanart in the past,but have never took credit,I only used it for practice,and others know that.It's not like I posted them on deviantART

I usually use Photo Filtre its free and way better then Ms paint... But some people are better with that I guess... -shrugs- I usually just use bases now rather then useing pictures of anime characters and color over them.

In MS paint, goto menu bar 'Colors' -> 'Edit Colors' -> 'Define Custom Colors >>'

You'll find whatever color you need. I dont understand whats wrong with MS paint.. It is the best and simple painting program.

The images in this video are color-overs, the images I am talking about are not. I am not talking about this video. I directed you to my profile background, deviantART account, and website.

And if you're talking about any of THOSE images, which one, specifically? Because there are two in my scraps on deviantART that are parodies made with pieces of the original manga. That's why they're in scraps.

While your editing is top-notch, you may want to figure out a way to actually alter the clothing/hair themselves to make your character more unique. Ideally, when you're done, the character shouldn't resemble the original much at all. It's still easier than drawing your own base, but it's still very original. Sort of. xD Then again, Paint is a lot more limited than PS... but you can always just create new lines instead of going over them, I guess...

The bright yellow makes it easier to see what I'm doing with Sakura's pink hair. Then all I have to do is fill it in with the right color at the end.

And I do make dolls from time to time. It used to be more frequent, but I prefer drawing my own things now.

But People also think of that as being disrespectful in a way. For one, many people that use fanart don't give credit to the original artists, which leaves any praise to the picture to go to the person who edited it. An artist may feel that by the picture being edited, it gives off the wrong opinion or something.

i think the fill and paintbrush tools in Paint are better than most other image editing softwares, but the fact that it doesnt support multiple layers really annoys me...

Its amusing, All this effort put into such a small edit, This could take me 30 Seconds for an image such as this using Photoshop, using around 5 clicks in total Photoshop is a definate investiment for such things!

Do not, for the love of god, buy a copy of Photoshop for the sole purpose of creating RPCs. Photoshop is a VERY expensive tool for people who are seriously interested in creating professional pieces of art. If you want a better program, use the GIMP. It's completely free, and just as good as Photoshop.

Just use the paintbrush tool to go over the area you want to fill. It's the only way to do it in paint; the fill tool doesn't work on .JPEG images.

You don't have to be a computer whiz, seriously. My video description explains how to get those colors in detail. It's really just a mater of copy and paste. Paint just has a really bad default pallet; nobody should use it.

This is just a tutorial so people will stay inside the lines, and use reasonable (not day-glow) colors.
