  • what an xlnt night. and the fireballs really are particularly nice this time of year in the this part of the world...

  • i've got the same footage, but from a much closer location... i really like how you were able to get the entire thing from farther back and at such a great angle! awesome shot! can't wait for next year! burn baby burn!

  • this was my first year at bm and it was the most amazing thing ive ever done in my life! can't wait ti'll next year. watching that fire ball gave me flashbacks of feeling that intense heat.

  • This Burning man was and is the best experience of my life...and I've been all over the world. The people, art, culture, music, and love is unmatched. see you in '08

  • I can't wait for next year!!! OMG was that a great night! For those that havn't gone to see for yourselves... the only thing I can say about that is...it's like breathing.., your hooked after your first breath. C U on the Playa in 2008.....

    MADMAN100

  • There is nothing in the world like Burning Man! All the pics and videos do it no justice, you have to experience it. The night time is the best, its like being in another world!

  • that was a hell of a night.

  • that was a fun night!

  • How much pollution in the air you rightouse bastards?

  • no kidding!! greedy self indulgence bullshit. radical self- expression my ass!!!the american dream-next year's theme is so apropriate! have fun.

  • pollution isnt as bad for the world as stupid ppl like you are.

  • ok if pollution and buring man and cars are so bad why dont you look at a picture of new york now and new york in the year 1940 and tell me polution is because of us and not just a natural fact you hippie scum bag.

  • thanks for that! I was also hoping someone would post this so I could show my friends kind of what I experienced. I was pretty close in an art car, but this is a great shot.

  • I was probably as far back as you and that thing nearly burned my eyebrows off. Incredible!

  • I was back on 5:30 & Esplanade sitting in camp. From back there it was absolutely stunning and perfect.

  • Wow. I was in the 3rd row, and the view was so different from up close. The heat was unbelievable...

I'm so glad to get the view from where you were.

  • Great capture! My camera battery had died after the man, I've been waiting for someone to upload this so I can show people!

  • It was absolutely stunning. I was probably at least 300 feet away and for a brief moment I wasn't sure it was under control, it was so enormous. This is a great video, but it can't do justice to how enormous and terrifying that pillar of flame was. I will never forget that moment.

  • Thanks for this posting I have not stopped talking about this it was better than the burining of the man what a great experience for being a virgin this year at Burning Man I am sending your link to every one so they can see it

  • my mind was BLOWN!!!!!!!! When the fireball showed up I literally sank to the ground in sheer awe!! just SICK!!!!

  • I was next to the fire lane up front when the air raid siren went off, and firefighters and other "injured" people were stumbling out of the smoke in a kind of tragic commencement before the fireworks began. It was extremely eery, and if you saw that, it drove the point home. I loved the combination with the spectacle of the fireworks, which might have otherwise disgusted me except that was the point. Absolutely breathtaking. I'm surprised some of us still have eyebrows.

  • thank you so much for posting this! it was so awesome to see in person

  • Thanks for posting that ... best video I've seen so far of the Crude Awakening burn, which we unfortunately had to miss (damn, why couldn't they burn it on Friday like they were originally supposed to?)

  • Because it rained and the equipment got wet (mostly pyrotechnics).

  • This was the most ominous and nerve-rattling thing I've ever seen out there. Before the blast I was literally shaking. Bravo.

  • yea the siren was eerie. i dont know how anyone will top this

  • I loved the Air Raid Siren Right before the show started.... Man that thing was awesome.... the fire ball was so huge... it was just WOW!!!!
