  • Except for Robert Lamm, the back-up band was a fake Chicago. Especially the bassist Jason Scheff who is Lamm's permanent bandmate.

  • Lamm was the writing force behind the success of Chicago. The only problem is Chicago has been stuck on love ballads for 30 years now. They were great from 1969 through the 5th album-all which were successful because of Lamm and Pankow's writing.

  • What the hell is wrong with you? I said he was great for 5 albums-with some obvious great moments since then, BUT-they have been stuck on love ballads for so long they forgot what made them great.I all but spelled out that they have gone downhill-and you agreed-and still gave me a hard time. . STFU

  • Lamm is Chicago he wrote the first 5 albums on his own solid gold you soft twat.

  • wish robert sang more songs in Chicago...i defintely agree with keed.

  • Lamm IS chicago. They would never have made it without HIS songs. He wrote all the good ones. ALL OF THEM>

  • it's like the Beatles....the synergy and contribution of all the members made the group. Nothing matters other than we have great music and memories..thank God and the music!!...a Chicago musician

  • If you dont' have a good song writer, you've got nothing...and Lamm's songs are what made this group ....Lamm began the fame with his music... You don't get more important than that.

  • Hahahahaha!, Robert Lamm???...sorry but this is the member of the band who has done nothing for the success of the band!!!!!!!, his only credit is to stay in the chair of the keyboards for 42 years guys!!!!...and I am a fan on Chicago since 1974!!

  • How untrue. He certainly made a big contribution in defining the sound of Chicago. What a stupid thing to say.

  • I want to sleep with this man.

  • The electric guitar instead of the acoustic in this version reminds me of when they used to preform this song in the early days when Terry Kath played the intro like that. RL now plays a 12 string in the intro when with Chicago, like Kath did on the original studio version.

  • Robert Lamm is an amazing talent - cutting edge on his new stuff, he's always been ahead of his time. LOVE IT!

  • "reruns" from Chicago 13 doesn't qualify? LOL

  • i want this song played at my wedding or funeral whichever comes first This is Lamm at his best

  • Better is at your wedding 'cuase at your funeral probably you will not hear anything

  • But then if it is at your funeral, hopefully it's "Only the beginning, of what you want to feel forever."

  • He always WAS favorite from age 14,15-the very "Beginnings." Not only has brains, but very refined, well spoken and a talented singer/songwriter. And yes: He's HOT(!) as they come. Oh YEAH! Gotta LOVE that voice and song-writing as well.

  • He sings like a man...love,love,love him..

  • my favorite chicago tune and written/performed by my favorite chicago member...robert lamm. still looking good.

  • This song still gives me chills. Such a beautiful song and great songwriter/singer. Robert Lamm is one of the best - highly underated...

  • Is there any chance of Robert and Peter singing with Chicago for a concert ?

  • No offense, but WHY would they ever want Peter back with them? Robert and Chicago are phenomenal these last 23 years without him! They're sounding better than ever in concerts this year! Robert's been my FAVORITE from Chicago for over 38 years - he is just so fantastic as a singer/songwriter AND a performer! We're finally getting to hear more of him on the songs that Peter used to lead solo.

  • I was going on info from a friend that Peter was a big part of Chicago. I remember Robert and Terry as the voice myself. I also was told Peter has moved on.. Oh well..

  • In love with his voice? Geez - I think I'm in love with HIM!

  • I LOVE Robert Lamm's voice. Sexy as hell! This guy just keeps get better.

  • But alas he was forgotten..an unfortunate legacy of a band so talented(Chicago) it had 3 unique lead vocalists (3's a crowd ) 10 CC had a similar fate.Any way , the voice and style that killed Chicago for me (Peter Cetera) was also attached to bass playing that was integral to my development as a proffessional bassist..fact,indeed, is stranger than fiction.BTW- this clip is awesome RL is the most underated singer/songwriter of all time

  • As to the above.. I bought his first solo album( being a tragic Chicago fan) and discovered a unique voice and writing style I swear I thought he would become the new Elton or Billy Joel.

  • Man this guy is great. A truly talented artist singer songwriter musician. One of my favorite songs. I don't see anyone that came along in the last 20 to 25 years that even comes close to his musical gifts.

  • I also love Robert Lamm's voice. I have for 30 years. That's a long time. Keep on singing, Robert.

  • Non Chi performers. Hank Linderman, Drew McMillan, Beth Campbell and Hayley Barker. Great DVD

  • Where Would Of Chicago have gone if Terry Kath didnt pass away.

  • Rock and roll hall of fame, probably.

  • No kidding, it's about damn time! Put Chicago in the RnR HOF

  • I am in love with his voice.

  • The question that makes you wonder is where would Chicago have gone if his vocals had been the dominant voice after Peter Cetera left. He is still smooth into his 60's.

  • A great musician and a wonderfull sound. I feel very sad

that Robert Lamm and "Chicago" doesn't play concerts in

    Europe. I love this music!

  • This sounds so good. I love his voice.

  • Anybody know the non-Chicago performers?

  • beautiful song, unforgetable
