Guess you got me wrong and no: a real helmet made of aprox 3mm steal is not able to deflect a direct hit from something like a 7.62mm bullet if its not a lucky ricochet.

i used to play company of heroes and then i discovered faces of war, never played CoH again. Men of war is the next game after FoW and doesn't lag compared to FOW.

Men of war is the best ww2 strategy game out there. Very realistic and accurate. Company heroes is basically only good for cut scenes and arcade style play, without much thinking needed.

@umean123 if you watch closely and listen you can see and hear a round pinging off the helmet and causing it to go flying, while you lose a helmet you save your soldier from a headshot.

@umean123 Yeah pretty much, Instead of a bullet wound to the head, your man only suffers a ricochet off his helmet. Which unfortunately uses up the helmet, but you do save your man. Yes if you man has a helmet equipped it should save him from a headshot but i will sue up your helmet.

I love this game, I wanted to challenge myself on this stage, German Fallschirmjäger (In German it means literally "Parachute Hunter") soldiers were known as the best soldiers in WWII, so I wanted to test if they were, I used the original men from the start of the game and then after the first lot of reinforcements, I went through the level using just 8 men. It took me about 6 days on hard and a total of maybe 3 - 4 game hours of play and I lost only 3 men.
