  • covek je TATA !!!

  • @MrTheBojandelija = What!?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Serbian Language :) and serbian positive comment

  • @MrTheBojandelija - No problem. If you liked this video and my other stuff I really suggest you pick up the free training guide on my website. It's a great place for players to start realizing how good they can actually be. Follow the featured video on my YouTube channel. Subscribe. Follow the steps exactly. And keep me posted on your progress. I am here to help you become the best player you can possibly be. Let's keep pushing!

  • JEBE MAME VIDARAAA !!!! :d

  • @vlajna1000 Huh?

  • Arguably the best CB right now. Pure power and precision, quick thinker, confident, and as consistent and reliable as a CB can be.

In terms of Age/Ability ratio i'd say the best is Gerard Pique.

  • @ShakTheSack - Ya I dont think people know how young Pique he is. Just another young bright Barcelona star. What team do you support?

  • @LocoAsasino Dude have you even seen him get forward and score those goals.....you obviously are deluded....

  • nemanja the best defender of allllllll timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @draganfranz - Bold statement. I bet someone would like to argue with that one. Any takers? What position do you play? Are you part of this incredible movement? Are you dedicated to becoming a better footballer?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials honestly its a testament to his defensive abilities. His mediocrity with his feet are forgotten about by his pure ability to defend and win headers. Unfortunately, I think Thiago Silva healthy shows more promise because he is more complete.

  • Nemanja is a great defender but he has inabilities with the ball on his feet and he does not get get forward like the great center backs.

  • @LocoAsasino - actually nemanja is very good with his feet, he just plays simple all the time. You will rarely see him take more than 2 or 3 touches on the ball. He knows his main priority is to defend the goal and if you ask me he is one of the best at doing that. What do you think?

  • @LocoAsasino his the best at defending he always pass the ball quick so his team mates can attack all the time. as for a great center back they dont always have to go foward, vidic scores more goals then your great center backs from corners!

  • who do you play for or who did you play for ?

  • @thenjay87 - Semi Professional Football. Who do you play for? Have you read the Free Training Guide on my website yet? Follow the featured video on my channel. Great place for players to start finding out more about themselves and tapping into their full potential.

  • Great video, great player. im sad, that he get injury

  • @coolwygis - Ya too often! Some players are just prone to injury. Personally I believe in most situations, it is due to lack of proper care for their body.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials im surprised he doesnt get injured more often, he puts his life on defending :s

  • @rawr4372 - Mm hm. I think you will find players who are willing to put their life on the line and go hard in tackles don't usually get injured that way, it's the players who go in light on tackles that usually end up getting bad injuries. Go in hard! You know what I am saying?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials thats true. i know exactly what you mean ;)

  • Nemanja Vidic and Carles Puyol. Best defenders ever.

  • @KingsnazurClick - Perhaps the modern era. What about all the great defenders of the past?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Maldini probably was the best, but in the modern game, Puyol and Vidic are the best in my opinion.

  • @KingsnazurClick forgot nesta , zanetti ?

  • Comment removed

  • ahh I forgot to say it, u forgot something at this video, nemanja is also a great head scorer well u say he is winning header of course he is but I love his head goals, he is really dangerous at corner kicks ;) great video

  • @franxute44 - Yes he is and a great example for defenders coming up for corners. You have to want the ball and be willing to sacrifice your body to get in front of your marker. What position do you play?

  • hey man GREAT video, I play at central back at real life and nemanja is my best inspiration, of course Im a red devil, I love his playing so this video helped me a lot, keep working at this videos! now I will see that one u made from puyol ;P .

Im from Spain!! but Im a red devil till I die

  • @franxute44 - Haha good stuff. Let me know what you think about the Puyol video.

  • Great video. I'm glad that one of my friends/subscribers (ElijahEvansFreestyle) shared it.

My 6 year old is extremely skilled (as skilled as anyone I've ever seen, including Madin at that age). But he still has so much to learn about defending. These types of videos will enable me to teach him some defensive tactics when he gets old enough to understand in a fun way. It's always nice to see the best of the best do it. And using Vidic (we are United supporters) was just a huge plus!

  • @LilMessaldo - Thanks for the great comment. Always here to help and educate. If you liked this one go to my channel and search Puyol and Nesta

  • Great video man! Should do a Analysis of a wing back like Dani Alves,Evra,Micah Richards, Marcelo... To show their movement up and down the line

  • @ElijahEvansFreestyle Please be patient. I have it on my To Do List but have over 50 player videos to do. Thanks for the comment. Who is your favorite player?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials oh okay sounds good man and marcelo is my fav player

  • Comment removed

  • Damn I've been waiting for a video like this all my life

Vidic is my idol and he inspired me to become a center back

now I'm one of the best players and hopefully with those tips i'll be dangerous !

  • @EidAntonio - You definitely can be if you continue to practice and train. Have you picked up the Free training guide yet?

  • watch?v=qO2Qij2aI8M Tell those defenders what would have happened if they wouldn't have cleared the ball. DEFENDER, not peppy chop chop technical, get too technical in the back against Barcelona? then what happens? exactly. Get real Defenders like Cannavaro,Maldini,Nesta,Sergio Ramos. Defender's aren't there to be beautiful in the back.

  • @NearsL - You are right they are not. But they are meant to be skilled and smart. They have to know when to play beautfiul and when to play ruthless. That is a good defender. Are you a defender?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials yes,you are right they are meant to do that now'a days like you said since the game has changed they must be more like Nemanja. like Puyol before Pep stayed in the back, etc. I've seen Puyol attacking more etc. and yes I am, touching more the ball is something I have to do!

  • @NearsL wanker

  • @NearsL you madrid faggot your only good because of ronaldo and hell be back at united soon ,madrid arent even that good they only won the champions leauge so many times because of the munich disaster FACT the spanish leauge is pathetic

  • @111111111111111111uk Um,yeah you're on my dick when clearly no one outside the Ligabbva can even beat Madrid or Barca, suck me on that you fuck. Get a LIFE. and no sir, no Fact in no damn Munich Disaster, FACT is the team was amazing, period. Fuck Off

  • Amazing defenders would be Cannavaro,Maldini,or Nesta. Defenders as a final chance, must do it. First thing is first, the goalie. the virgin goal net that still holds a 0-3 vs the whore. tell that to these amazing defenders, watch?v=qO2Qij2aI8M

  • So awesome. Appreciate it. Subbing also.

  • @mrrandom111111 - Glad to hear it. Be sure to pick up the Free training guide from my website as well. Great place to start for serious Footballers.

  • Hey, i have decided to be a center back, but do i like NEED to be tall?? I'm quite good at jumping, and i mostly win the ball. But when its at a higher level, do i NEED to be tall??? Thanks.

  • @KingsnazurClick - You don't have to be tall. It does help in certain situations but it is not necessary as long as you are good at positioning and can win headers against taller opposition. Can you do that?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Yeah i can.

  • Very useful tips. Can you make a video on improving balance while running

  • @alvinabraham97 - What is your problem? Please explain in detail.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials When i am running if someone gives me a shoulder push i lose my balance and i try not lose my touch on the ball but i just fall to the other direction. Can you help me?

  • @alvinabraham97 - Seems like oyu need to improve your strength and balance. Are you doing any strength conditioning exercises at the moment? Also are you pushing players back (not fouling but protecting the ball and yourself) or are you letting yourself get pushed around?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I try doing excercises but can't find myself the time. I try to protect the ball but i get over-powered.

  • Very good tips, im really glad that i found ur channel!

  • @nesuferm - I am glad as well. Have you picked up the Free Training Guide yet from my website?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Yes, 2 days ago!

  • please make a video about thierry henry

  • @dubluv10 - I have it on my To Do List. Please be patient. I have over 50 player requests to complete. Is he your favorite player?

  • Nemanja Vidic is the best defender in the world without a doubt.

Great video here, all young aspiring players learn from him and you are helping them.

    Keep up the good work.

  • @skepz22 - Thanks for the great comment. Much appreciated.

Where are you from? Who do you play for?

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for creating this, it's tremendously helpful. It was great to hear you point out specifics and then see footage of it in action. Your replies to comments and email tips are really helpful and provide solid insight.

I've applied your advice to practices, workouts, and games and saw a drastic improvement over the last 8 months. I play as a defender in adult rec leagues, and it's even helped at that level (I just started playing 3 years ago).

Thanks Dylan, keep up the good work!!

  • whats your favorite team?

  • @realannnoyingorange - Barca I would have to say. Simply because of the way they play the game. Different level. What about yourself?

  • im a Left Full back and im really offensive but that does so my teams defence isnt so REALLY good we have REALLY good defenders but on the left side its empty and im not faster then the most players any tips?? right now im just training at my speed is that good ??

  • @Halamadrid1210 - Yes. First tell me, what are you doing to improve your speed?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials i run almost every day maybe in a half hour (60 meters)

and im playing with my friends also almost every day and sometimes o go out and run maybe 5-15 minutes

  • Comment removed

  • @Halamadrid1210 - Good talk.

  • thanks to you i just get better and better =)

  • @Halamadrid1210 - Thank yourself. Your the one putting in the hard work! Tell me about your improvements.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials im a defender quite good eause i started football at age 10 and 11 and im 1 or 2 or 3 best defender at my age or ate my school

  • Nice video but can you PLZZZZZ do a video about offensive left/right defenders??

  • @Halamadrid1210 i mean FULL BACKS like Marcelo and dani alves

  • @Halamadrid1210 - Okay I have it on my To Do List. Please be patient, I already have over 50 requests for different players. Thanks for the great comment. Have you picked up the Free Training Guide yet?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials aha ok =)

  • @Halamadrid1210 - In the mean time go to my website and search Dani Alves Full Back Guide - Does that help?

  • @Halamadrid1210 - What do you mean? Full Backs?

  • the serbian dictator nemanja vidic us red devils wud completely fail without him we're gonna miss him this season

  • @hellhowudo - Ya he has been picking up too many injuries lately. He was back in last week though. Did he pick up another knock?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials injurd for rest of the season massive bllow for united

  • Vidic is a amazing centre back but Lorik Cana is better it my opinion .

  • @ndreca69 - This is going to sound stupid on my part. But who is that? Who does he play for? Nationality?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials A FULL BACK PLZ

  • great video :)

  • hahaha I'm a man utd fan but in the videos where he gets close u played one in which he grabs the opponents shirt :P thats A big NO in the matches :P

  • lmao at 1:56-1:58 he looks hilarious

  • @STEVENLASER2 - Hahaha . Agreed.

  • hey Dylan, plz tell me that how can you develop your game intelligence....i am very weak in tactics, dont know sometimes that what to do with da ball, and where to go and find open spaces to receive passes... i really wanna improve this thing....

i also watch soccer matches and compilations on soccer players...

    plz help.....thanx

  • @rome9ro - Hey send me a message and we will sort this out.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials where to send you the msg...

  • @rome9ro hey dylan...

    y didnt yu reply.....

  • @rome9ro - Romero you haven't sent me a message? Still waiting. Send it to my INBOX so I can write longer messages - tell me about your issue in more detail. Waiting upon your response.

  • things I learned...DO NOT HESITATE ESPECIALLY AGAINST BIGGER OPPONENTS!!

  • @fznutmeg83 - Otherwise they will break you in half!!!!! What position do you play fznut?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials well that would be a red card but they will score on you though!I had to learn it the tough way and I play cm,dm, and rwb, lwb,am.

  • @DemonXtar - Hah definitely. It's his presence on the pitch. He makes you think when the ball is at your feet. That's what good defenders have the ability to do. You should make the attacker nervous and scared when you are approaching. That comes from knowing in your mind that you are going to win that ball and there is no way he/she is going to get past you. You know what I mean?

  • GARETH BALE PLEASE!

  • @ZFreestyleUSA - On my To Do List. Please be patient!

  • I learn to not be scard to tackle and win headers, great vid

  • @mazaisrolitis - Good stuff. Now let's see if you can apply that in the game. How are your tackling skills? And headers?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials yes i do that

  • @mazaisrolitis but im not defender but still i can do this

  • i'm the only one who haven't learned anything? you are just pointing obvious stuff =(

  • @DimanRussian - We'll I guess you are ahead of the game. Maybe you can share something with us about being a great defender. Any tips?

  • Best centre back in the world in my opinion

  • @shadowwarriorchaos - In today's game, I would have to agree. Can you name any other classy center backs?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials

Kompany - City are not the same without him and as a united fan I love when he is not in the line up!

    Pepe solid for madrid

vermaelen- great defender reminds me of Vidic at times and is such a vital goal scorer

and I also think thiago silva has done great for milan

hey you should do a video on Phil jones (perhaps when more clips of him are available haha ) one of the most versatile players I have ever seen

  • Can you do a vid about wingers on the midfield that must defense and attack. Like young and nani and robben ribery di maria. I hope you understand what i mean. Thanks like ur videos

  • @moekoe3 - Yes I do understand. I will put it on my To Do List. Please be patient. I already have over 30 players to do. Thanks for the ideas. Who is your favorite winger?

  • Cmone TheSoccerEssentials, make a analys of Eden Hazard!? thank you.

  • @Metin2Creatus - I will put it on my To Do List. Please be patient. I already have over 30 players to do. Thanks for the ideas. Is that your favorite player?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Oh sry hehe i didn't know.. yes is my favourite ;)

  • King of Serbia

  • @Redstarcrew - As well as England. He's been the best center back in EPL for last 3-4 years. I would say. Would you agree?

  • When I watch a soccer match what can I do to make myself a better player?

  • @pksc6 watch how they play. when they pass and where the decide to put the ball when they get possession. Anyone can learn a lot if you watch how both teams play the game instead of just watching the game. that is just my advice and what i personally do.

  • @tehcucumber223 - Yes very good points. Thank you for this good advice. How many games do you watch per week?

  • @tehcucumber223 thanks i will do that

  • @pksc6 - Watch specific players. Watch what they do both on and off the ball. The biggest thing is to keep watching and really looking at the specific touches and movements the players make. The more you watch, the more you will understand what I'm talking about. If your a young Soccer player you may not realize the quality of every touch and movement. Biggest thing. Just keep watching! How many games do you watch per week?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials 1 or maybe 2(if there is champions league) full matches plus about 3 hours of highlight programmes

  • So how do you dribble defenders like him?

  • @bigmessifanvs - Smarts. Speed. Purpose. Have you watched my Andres Iniesta analysis? There is a good part in there about effective dribbling. Go to my channel and search - Iniesta

  • Definately one of the best defenders out there. Thanks for the vid.

  • @HeavensMadManPro - No problem. Thanks for watching. I would say best defender in England (center back at least) for last 3-4 years. Would you agree?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I think I do agree with you. He looks scary to face hahah. Lucky that I'm a defender as well.

  • @HeavensMadManPro - Definitely. Defenders still have to get forward though. What position do you play exactly?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I'm a left full-back. I like that position, I've played there since I can remember.

  • Great video man

Vidic is the best center back..... I misss seeing him play for United, because of his injury :(

  • @nathands123 Same, I'm not a ManU fan either.

  • @IWakeUpToSweat - I know its easy to hate Man U because everyone likes them (especially people who don't know much about Football just say they like Man U). But you have to respect the way they play. They are in the top class of modern day Football. Would you agree?

  • @IWakeUpToSweat I am a die hard Man United fan

  • @nathands123 - Yep but hes back in the ranks again and ready to impress. Well see if he can help United retain their title. City looks pretty dangerous these days. What do you think?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials He's out for the full season :( Im a United fan and am missing him........ But when he plays United dont concede much

  • Thanks for the video. Can you do one of these videos based upon a defensive midfielder eg Busquets, Scott Parker, Mascherano.

  • @imarus21 - I will put it on my To Do List. Please be patient. I already have over 30 players to do. Thanks for the ideas. Who is your favorite player?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials

No problem, my favourite defensive midfielder is busquets.

Looking forward to your next videos.

  • I am a Defender and I learn many things from your video.Thank you so much..........=)

  • @tasnim520 - Not a problem. Glad to hear it. Have you picked up the Free Training Guide yet?

  • @TheSoccerEssentials I train with my friend every sunday..............

  • thanks a lot dylan, I've always looked up do vidic and puyol but I never really noticed what made them so good, and you pointed it out to me :) could you make a video about john terry? he, puyol, and vidic are my three role models that I love to learn from

  • @cmanslash - Honestly, I tried to do Terry but I could not find any quality footage of him on YouTube every video was like 240 p.

Do you have any other good center backs in mind?

  • Hey, Dylan. What hair product do you use?...no homo. Thanks

  • @SourNippls - Alberto.... ;) I think it's a Wax.

  • @TheSoccerEssentials Cool thanks. I'll have to look it up. Great video series by the way. Im a striker so i loved the C Ronaldo and Neymar analyses but these most recent ones are just as helpful to me. Thanks for the great content.

  • This guy is honestly terrifying. I can not imagine trying to hang onto the ball with him that close. Wow.

I'll have to watch more of this guy when I get a chance, and most definitely try to defend closer. As always Dylan, thanks for making this video.

    Liked, Commented, and Favorited. :)

  • @AdamTheCtor - Much appreciated. And I know what you mean. It makes you think twice when you have a defender like that on your ass. Thanks for the great comment.

  • boobs

  • @mooky0909 - Tits.

  • thank you so much! i've been wondering what i could do to improve myself as a defender. my coach always tells me to clear the ball but i know that option wont always work.

  • @GardianV3v - Ya that's one of the sad things of Youth Football. Poor information from so called "coaches". Unless you have to clear your lines to relieve pressure or stop a goal try to play in a creative effective way. But definitely don't be foolish on the ball, especially if you are the last man back. 2 touch. Have you picked up the Free Training Guide?

  • I wanna try out for ODP and I need you to make a video with some tips on how to look really good with the ball and how to impress coaches really well.

  • @soldierkiller29 TALK ALOT. That't very important, and don't try to "look good on the ball" just pass and play your position well.

  • @IWakeUpToSweat - Exactly. Even as a center back there are times to get on the ball and dribble (effectively) but most of the time you should be looking to play quick two touch. You are not on the field to show off. You are there to protect your team and start attacks.

  • @soldierkiller29 - Did you get my weekly newsletter? I just put out a helpful article on that. Also go to my website and type in the search bar - How To Prepare For Soccer Tryout - in that are tips of how you can impress on trial day. Does that help?

  • I mean by he is never afraid to do something risky and go's for the ball without thinking or hesitating

  • @TheIsmet914 - Exactly. If you hesitate you lose. Just go for it. Believe in yourself. Does that make sense?

  • What I learned is vidic always fights for the ball and not the player and doesn't care about getting injured

  • @TheIsmet914 - He is ruthless and a warrior. He's a great defender. Are you a defender?

  • 1st

  • @W0NDIN - 1st reply.
