  • I ❤ AMERICAN COMMERCIALS

  • At the end they lay down the towels, but don't sit on them? Nice.

  • wow that's gonna take a while to zone back to planogram

  • I dont see how a big box department store (consumerism, cars, families and suburbia) gels with the spirit of '68.

    Just sayin'

  • SO random.... lol

  • I can't wait until Target comes to Canada 2013, im so excited :D

  • I made an alternate version of this commercial with different music, if anyone is interested -- search youtube for "Zero 7" target commercial. Thanks!

  • I love this song and am saddened to see that it was put in a Target commercial

  • It's funny, every on this page says "Awesome song choice, Target!" And everyone on Status Quo videos says, "Like this song, but don't like Target".

  • sounds like the rock's theme at the beginning

  • do you guys know which ad agency worked on it?

I have loved target commercials! Always spot on when it comes to music choice to complement the commercial

  • What gives that kid the right to kick that ball into oblivion?

  • I like what mickey avalon did with the melody better /watch?v=VNMPdUrLZYQ

This one is still ok though

  • in part 11:00 did the guy go trough the side while a kid jumped over him.AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great commercial !

  • Everything in this ad is wrong...all the cheapo one time use bullshit plastic...what the hell is wrong with you people that actually like this terrible ad

  • i work there overnights...it sux....baaaaaad.. we always say that "expect more pay less" slogan is said towards overnights workers lol...bcuz they expect more out of you and pay you lesss -.-..sad but true...and then i see this b.s. commercial with everyone looking all happy and shopping at target....but then again if they really showed how they treat their workers ..no one would shop their

  • @krunchykorn lol i know fucking hate that store, buts it's all i have in my neighborhood thanks to the rich pricks

  • @GMSamuelRhine haha thats too bad dude...id hate it if that was all i had...we have wal mart in my neighborhood :) hehe

  • 0:11

  • Is that Bobby knight in the back playing basketball

  • @Ninjat0 How was the commercial shot? Was it a well-orchestrated continuous shot or did they use special effects to make it appear that way?

  • @nsena31 I'm not sure but it looks like a long dolly shot to jib at the end for the wide angle. They may have also had a jib on the dolly.

  • I KNEW IT WAS STATUS QUO!!!

  • I fell in love with the song just from the first time of watching the commercial. Really really great choice. :)

  • dude. ive been looking for this on youtube for so long. thankyouu so much. haha

....target always has the best commercials....[:

  • Thank you!! I thought the song was 'Crimson and Clover.' Always love Target spots and choices of music.

  • GREAT choice of song for this commercial!

A sign a good marketing by Target.

You must admit, Target probably does extensive research to appeal to all demographics in the song selections for their commercials.

It would not surpise me that Wal-Mart tries to emulate what Target in their advertising approach.

  • This song's been on my Ipod for at least 3 years. Long live the British Invasion, baby!!

  • love this song soooo much

  • They spelled it "BEATLES". It was a play on the term "Beat Groups" which is what rock n roll bands were called back in the day.

  • I bet this was a fun commercial to film. Would have been even more fun if they really played this song for the people in it while they were filming.

  • Now if i do tht at Target., ill get kicked out -___-

  • @catracha609 LOL. No kidding!

  • i don't know why,but this commercial looks animated to me.

  • Love this commercial

  • So it turns out that first kid you see is my distant cousin. Weird.

  • Thank God i finally found the name of this song!!! (^_^)

  • I thought it was by the Beatles at first. Lol

  • @DJMdalia dude same here haha its just so natural with that sound and voice to thinks its them

  • This was filmed at an actual store. Does anyone know where?

  • @rickbare33139 Could be store Number 1, downtown Minneapolis, my girlfriend works there. I'll ask her.

  • I tried to shazam it but I couldn't do it in time so I came here.

  • Finally. This has been my personal favorite Target ad since "Hello Goodbye" a few years ago...:)

  • @JudeBarrett Jude, this is my personal favorite Target commercial since the drum battle between Bun E. Carlos and the Donnas drummer some 8 years ago...

  • Thank goodness I found this, I've been trying to find the name of the song since I first saw this commercial! Thanks for the info!

  • LIKE This if you came here JUST FOR THE SONG! LOL

  • thumbs up if you came here for the song...

  • AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BEETLES :)

  • @miamibabii77 you mean the Beatles? (with an A)

  • @miamibabii77

"AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BEETLES"

This song sounds nothing like any of their stuff and it is the BEATLES with an "A" as in "the song has a good 'beat' to it" - hence the name they came up with "The BEATles"....not a group of insects but musicians with a good beat...get it now??? At least get the name of the most famous and influential rock group in history correct.

Lifelong Beatles fan here - I actually watched The Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964 LIVE.

  • thumbs up if ur eyes were on the basketball hoop the entire time

  • Target brought me here as well!! Great song and as always, Target has the best commercials and songs!

  • coolio

  • Love the song, thought it was Beatles when I firsteard

  • Target better not mind when I actually do this shit in their store. Also, nice CG balls.

  • yeah baby yeah!!

  • I work at target that's really how people at target think they can act lol

  • @cupcakemonstaar lol its that what its like at closing hours? lol, if it was, i'd so get a job there.

  • i lovet his commercial, man, this is what summer should be like, man.

  • Comment removed

  • Are those beach balls real do they actually sell those type?

  • the kid that kicks the ball is so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Make summer fun with the 1960s!

  • By far the beat commercial I have ever seen! LOVE IT!

  • Hahaha my mom knew this song was 68' before I even looked it up lol!!!

  • I hate Target, but when I saw this on TV yesterday I was like "NO WAY?! STATUS QUO IN AN AMERICAN COMMERCIAL?!" Maybe this will bring them some recognition over here...

  • Uesd to like this song. saw it on Target commercial but never knew who the artist was and the name of the song. Thanks for posting. (also always though the music was rather hilarious)

  • That song is so groovy baby?

  • @smoothrasin

"That song is so groovy baby?"

Even in the sixties people that said "groovy" were laughed at. Only bad television writers of that era used that word.

  • I want the red and silver grill and the website doesn't have it. Urgh! Luv this commecial though! Good song too.

  • There's no way in hell a Target store would actually allow THAT to happen in one of their stores...

other wise i'd be throwing a party there!:D

  • Target has raised the bar with this commercial. Whoever is responsible for this one did a great job. The music makes everyone stop and listen, I only wish it were longer!

  • this commercial is special to me cause i listen to"the one" by elena siengman, and it i thought itwaas a remix of her, just listen to the intro, then enter

abracadavre and the one, and listen

    cant blame me

  • Thank you! It has been driving me nuts for weeks, every time I see the commercial, trying to remember the name and artist for this sone.

  • I love that song. reminds me of ealy Pink Floyd

  • I'm just glad they used a song that's available this time. As opposed to a cover-remix-mashup version by a Sony sound engineer.

  • Lol I was in this commercial. They nearly cut me out of it completely but I'm barely visible at the end. Those were a long 2 days...!

  • @Ninjat0 How did you get booked to be in the commercial?? :o I've been looking for months but I guess in all the wrong places..

  • @Ninjat0

Are you the one opening the umbrella?

  • whats the name of the song

  • @ronianarchy wow...some ppl.....you give them the name of the tune AND a direct link to the Wiki.... read much ???

  • @skiatl

LMAO at this idiot - I have to agree with you - there are so many morons surfing YouTube they should change the name to BoobTube. Thanks for posting this commercial with one of the all time great songs from the sixties - I know it will take a lot of patience on your part to put up with the endless moronic comments you will no doubt receive.

  • @skiatl Hahahahaha... thats a classic. You're so right. I'm laughing as I write this. I mean, how stupid can they be...it's right there and they still ask. It's in the info there hahahahaha. Ah yeah, I'm gunna be chuckling at that for the rest of the day now. Classic stuff.

  • I would be so pissed if I was shopping and that shit happened.

  • I LOVE this commercial soooo much <3

  • "to make your summer funner" ?! FUNNER ISN'T A WORD!!!!!!

  • @laurendelfing no shit! dont you see why they did that? common sense people!

  • @laurendelfing Yes it is, prove me wrong.

  • This is the first song i've learned on guitar.

  • Why do those chicks at the end lay down towels and then sit/lay right next to it?

  • @paulw252 cause then they would block the catch phrase, pretty obvious!

  • ouch going on that slip n slide had to hurt at 0:11 looked like there was no padding what so ever just hard floor but a great song though

  • With so many annoying commercial jingles out there, it's nice to hear a song that I actually like on television. Nice move, Target *****

  • Pictures of Matchstick Men.. WOW!.. been many years.

  • see, i have wayyy too many things for summer already. but this commercial is good i want to buy the whole damn store.

  • ha, isn't this an old song from the UK in the sixties? Still a very cool song.

  • "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" by Status Quo

  • @ljmsdrvr thanks!

  • Whats the name of this song?
