@billy959 Maybe he wants to be known for his own efforts, not just Ringo's kid. Keith Moon taught Zak but had few lessons himself before joining them- the main reason his style was so unique & no other drummer sounded right till Zak joined knowing the styles. Ringo couldn't do drum rolls b/c he was lefthanded & learned on a righthand kit.. After Moon died, Kenney Jones was on drums, but Roger refused to keep him- grief, guilt over Moon dying & a different drum sound. It was really sad.
Actually Keith Moon only gave Zak his first drum kit, an old set Keith used with the Who. Zak has had kis own bands for years Pino has worked with Zaks bands before and that and Pino's studio work got him the Who gig.
The solo for this song is one of the best pieces of music ever, too bad it's too difficult that even the author can't play it properly! Now I know that Pete's the author and he can play it anyway he wants to, but the original in the record is 100x better than the ones he plays in live versions and I've looked through them all and every time it's this simplified version! I don't think it's too much asked just to hear at least once the proper one from all the live performances they've done!
@ciecinsh: What you don't understand is that this song was written to be improvised. Do you know what that word means? Pete has never once played the same solo twice on this song or any song, and he'd retire before he took your stupid advice to play the same solo from the fucking album. Name one song he has ever written where he plays the same solo from the album note for note? Name one? You don't get him at all, do you?
Just because you're gay and in love with Pete doesn't mean you have to stand up for him every time and when you don't understand what you're talking about! His album version is too difficult even for him to play, that's the truth and you can cry as much as you like. Now go jack off to his picture!
Wow, Pete sounds great on this, voice as well as guitar.

I liked Kenney Jones as a drummer, but stylisticly, Zak is more aggressive than Kenney. Kenney is more laid back

Moon taught Zak how to play since Ring was a bad drummer but an awesome guy

He says most of the stories about Keth can't be told in public... it has nothing to do with Ringo being Zak's father.

Pete's sound of late is comparable to Jeff Beck or David Gilmour. Sounds great.

Pete said once, I am not all man, I am not a woman.
Whatever he is... he rocks and so does Roger

3:38 - weird start!
Great performance overall, though, as per usual.
