not all red lobsters are the same. there are going to be different managers or workers. just responding to the comment that said that their certain location is amazing and their workers have been working there for 20+ years there and saying there must to be more to the story. all locations will be different. im sorry to hear ur story but u sure showed her lol.
Red Lobster is a wonderful place to work, I have for 2 years, & we have female and male managers. Everyone I work with loves the job too. Some people have been then for over 20 years, if it was horrible, would they stay that long? There has to be more to the story.
This story happened to me I asked for a day off after they promised full time over thanksgiving. They gave me one day after I canceled my plans to work at wonderful red robbers. They fired me for asking for the one day off. I was training that day too and it was a women manager. I stood up to her and she felt like she lost power. Fyck those stupid bithes
Well Joe quitting will save you some long tern aggravation but you know the manager could have cared less. Service people are viewed as a dime a dz. Unfortunate but true. I got some of the same treatment at my former employer of 10.5 yrs. The HR manager didn't like me so she had her ass istant eye ball me periodically for dress attire. I hade suede sandals, written up up, cleveage once(DD) written up, too casual written up. Another female had DD you saw short of nips everyday, no prob.
I went to my interview at Red Lobster and I'm at the place where I'm going to need my Liqueur (however you spell it!) License, ID, Shirt, etc...I've been in the restaurant business for awhile now and I'm glad they are considering me to work there. I could use the benefits as well.
I just hope I do a good job. If you do get this though, it would help if you can share with me some tips on how to be a good server and what's the secret when juggling 4 or 5 tables?
I'm sorry but I've worked at Red Lobster in Arkansas for 3 years now and as far as food sales go we are and have been the number one seafood restaurant in Northwest Arkansas since its been open.

it does sound like these broads were ****ing with you, but that's kind of their job, to **** with you. If they are good managers they know how to prioritize their nitpicking, obviously these managers did not.

@mehlvillebleedsgreen most of the companies i've worked for usually the employees knew more than the employers. the employers, ceo's usually sit & talk on the telephones. that is so unhealthy & worst of all they take advantage of it. it's just awful.
I just got fired after 16 years of service with the good ole Red Lobster...and this sort of thing happened day in day out during my employment. Customer service has gone out the window, while red lobster writes people up to the point of harrassment for silly things like this. I wish I had had the nerve to do this...RL has many requirements that are only good for certain people and even sometimes the managers look worse than a homeless person.
sounds like the management at that red lobster sucks. i'm not a big fan of red lobster. One thing i know... their seafood is frozen, not fresh. except for the lobsters. Ridiculous. If i want seafood i want it fresh. I'll go with McCormick & Schmick's.

I can relate with this one, I was just fired from Red Lobster today for no reason. I was in the back rolling silverware and then the silverware roller got there. I would have got up, but it takes her like 20 mins to get started becasue she is retarded. I finish rolling my silverware and the manager comes back there and says what are you doing back her with her, you already have been in trouble for fondeling her and are not suppose to be in the same room. I was pissed for them to be bringing
one of my favorite managers of all times was a woman in new mexico at a chinese restaurant. every 1 or 2 weeks she would make up some new crappy dish and call it chinese. i finally told her that nobody is ordering her dishes, and she fires me for harassment.
I had a couple good women managers in my life but the thing is that women use 99% emotion and 1% logic to make decisions. If you get a woman manager that is confident and happy so that 99% emotion doesn't destroy that remaining 1% of logic you have a good manager. My NUTJOB woman manager even TOLD me she makes all her decisions emotionally. I am working in Red Lobster HELL. Started with 4 maie managers. Now have 3 female managers. Job was fun, now it SUCKS

In my experience, when I get dicked around, I just escalate the situation with the intention of getting fired. It's a stupid strategy, but that's how I roll.
As for women managers, in my experience they're just people. I've had many different jobs with many different managers and people are people. Some guys are dicks and some women are cunts, some of both are cool.

The best managers that I have ever had at RL, were women. It makes me wonder what other extenuating circumstances that the poster neglected to mention. I am a server, do what I am told and do the side-work of 6 people every shift. I make myself invaluable to the company and not the other way around. Perhaps, his restaurant is an anomaly, but I have worked at 3 different RL's over the last 3 years and get the best shifts and the best sections and make the most money because I take ownership.
