u got to use Gerrard as support striker as how liverpool used him. He isn't a tectician who dictats the flow of the game. Lampard does that job better. gerrard is more suited to a assualting free role which appeared at the most needed area. Gerrard has good passing and eye for thru ball but u got to play him in.

you could make a video like this of pretty much any england player. Looks like he had a poor game but trust me I watch him week in week out. You picked out some poor passes and crosses. 2bh hes managed to cross to owen in the box and has succeeded many times in his career. In the 2007/08 season he had the highest cross completion in the premier league (not that I trust stats but with crossing its much easier to judge quantitively.)

I am sick of this: why are Xavi and Iniesta better than Gerrard? Fantastic playmakers behind Messi, Eto'o and Henry. Gerrard has scored over 20 goals in 3 out of the last 4 seasons, the Spaniards are wonderful footballers but they do not have Gerrards explosive quality, nowhere near as many GOALS. Imagine what Gerrard would do playing behind the above mentioned forwards!
