guess I got lucky when I found 6 obsidian in my blacksmiths chest? o.o and I just had a really random idea to build a plate of dirt above the surface, to make my own little world so the slime's will never bug me! >:DD

If your Y value is still under 40 then slimes can still spawn in your 'world'.

Try the seed 'gimmeabreak' along with the world type 'Superflat'; it still works for 1.1 and there is a nice surprise in the chests at the two blacksmiths in town. :D

2 planks will smelt 3 items such as blocks of raw wood to give 3 charcoal - each charcoal has the same effect as a coal and will smelt 8 units max
