  • @g7txu I sometimes drive by the HF transmitter but I didn't notice overhead power lines going into that transmitter. So I reckon the transmitter is fed by medium voltage (10 or 20 kV) and this is underground.

  • 35 kV and 10 kV are usually for local distribution in the city. Cities are plastered with 10 kV substations that step down the power to household 230/400 V. You rarely notice that there are 35 kV and 10 kV levels because those are usually buried cables. That is, until someone starts construction work and BAM!
