  • @Runeprivate0001 Have you checked the date of this video? Idiot troll.

  • @Runeprivate0001 lol this was 2 years ago :D kinda sad that your comparing your computer to this :D is your computer that bad?

  • @Runeprivate0001 Notice how you're the only idiot here to fails to read the date to this video? We do not care about the little gadgets your mommy bought you for your birthday.

  • @snth3 So Im guessing u upgraded ur motherboard too didnt u? Im trying to install windows 7 with the original motherboard, couldnt find windows 7 drives though... any thoughts??

  • Imagine his face if you showed him in the video an Alienweare with 6gRAM, DDR5, Blu-Ray, Windows 7, and I7 processor for 999 $ :0

  • @poroporoa i want an alienware so bad. i'm suppose to be treating myself to one in about 2 or three weeks finally! lol

  • @VolGreg

Don't buy Intel, they keep their prices down by using shitty parts.

  • That look's like a dinosaur :))

  • i saved a whole lot more i bought my pc pars at vvvvvvv.123save.webs.com and my pc beats that gateway by far for a lot cheaper price tag and vvvvvvvvv.123save.webs.com offers free shipping and 12 months money back warranty they are so sure that u will be happy with the parts you purchase that the r confident in offering an 12 month money back warranty

  • VISTA? EW. 32 bit? HORRIBLE

  • @nictherocker Look at the day this video was uploaded, then u'll realize how stupid you are =))

  • @nictherocker As the other person said, don't forget that this was in 2008.

  • Sooo Glad that This PC came with a SLI Bridge, I upgraded this to 2 GTS 250s in SLI.

  • how much?

  • @noMERCYLEZZ 2,000

  • Ideal Gaming PC

    2GB ram

    1024 Nvidia GT 9800

    Dual Core 2.80 GHZ CPU

    550WATT power supply.

    640GB HDD

You can buy this rig for around 550$ At Fry's Electronics...

  • Well the computer I got right now is

    4GB ram

Intel GMA 3100 on board graphics

    dual core 2.6 gHz cpu

    640hdd

    64-bit win 7

is this good enough to run games such as combat arms, ava, or cod?

  • It really depends on your graphics card. Chances are that you wont be able to get past 2006 Era games with a integrated card. If you want to go into hardcore gaming, like maxing all setting out yet maintaining a even 30FPS, then I recommend a NVIDIA GT 9800. Its a whopping 130$ but well worth it. What kind of gaming experience are you looking for? Be more specific besides "I want to play this game", and say something more like "I want to play Call Of Duty MW2 at Medium/Standard settings".

  • Well, okay then.

I want to play CODMW2 with lowest settings possible.

I don't have the money to buy a video card anyone, lol. Also my computer's tower is super small, meaning few upgrades available ( I think you already knew that though ). So what do you think?

  • Ok, step 2:

What kind of slot do you have?

    PCI

    PCI EXPRESS

    or AGP?

  • PCI

  • A EVGA - GeForce 8400 GS should do the job. And you should be able to get away running MW2 at medium resolution. You might even get it to play at medium/high settings. Thats your best bet for current gen gaming.

    Its 55$ at Best-buy.

Theres also a PNY - GeForce FX 5200 for 35$, but its a pretty weak card. You MIGHT be able to play MW2 at LOWEST POSSIBLE settings, but it wont look very appealing...

  • Thanks

one more thing, what would you recommend if I had a PCI-E or AGP slot but not a PCI?

    (a friend was asking)

  • PCI-E can handle more advaced graphics cards, so if you plan on going ALL OUT, you need a PCI-E. AGP is older PC's ( I didin't really expect you to have one)

  • I don't lol, anyway thanks for helping me out!

  • No problem. Happy gaming!

  • how much doase that sht cost

  • lol what the **** my pc more powerful

    that one is so poor

  • lol I'm pretty sure that in another year we will all laugh at your PC. This PC is over a year old dude.

  • its actually 2 cores,4 threads

  • well, it's 4 cores 4 threads. It is a Quad-Core and there is no hiper-threading. I can't belive that Albert made a mistake :P

  • Uhm, no. The C2Q is a true Quad Core because, if you look at a die photo, it has 4 cores.

  • 4 cores 8 threads? what??? that's not an i7 :P

didn't think that the q6600 used hyper threading tech!

  • 32-bit? what gaming pc has 32 bit?!

  • what gamming pc has 3gigs of ram. These are the questions

  • You want a good video card, ram isint all to important. Shows how much you know.

  • would you like a computer to have random stalls if ram isnt important to you than why dont you run a 16mb memory system with a 256 video card

  • -_-

    2GB RAM

    and a 2GB VRAM

is much better then having 8GB of ram and a 1GB vid card.

  • well then your gonna have problems in the future your gonna need to upgrade your ram when they come up with the next gen games the video card isnt everything either

  • I have a question

um what if you had a good video card, but little ram (1gb) would games still run well?

  • Depends what games you want to play. You should get a 512MB NVIDIA GT card from best-buy if You want to run current-gen games at medium/low quality. You should still upgrade your ram, 1Gb is a little to low for current-gen gaming. Also you need a good CPU and power supply.

  • Why does Albert look like Logan in this video?

  • is it hard to build your own pc?

  • not necessarily. if you have a company or a store that is doing it for you, it's good, just get parts that work with each other and you're good.

  • Not rly if You read all the manuals or watch a video on it. The hard part is finding which parts to use

  • thats crap. my laptop is 3GB and it is sooo crappy it lags so much

  • Your Video card and CPU are sooo crappy it laggs soo much. This computer stock can run 5 IEs 5 Firefoxs' 4 Adoble Acrobats 2 Winmails Skype and 2 3D Ganes (like NFS Undercover and Battlefeild 2142) Benchmarking At the same time and still doesnt even stress the cooling system or any system on this computer

  • Windows vista 32 bit only supports up to 4 gigs of ram

  • 700 Watts Power supply !?! Who will pay the electricity bill? :)

  • make sure nothing in your house is turned but the pc, that eliminates ur problem

  • 700W isnt amazing. Taking in mind that most PSUs have about 70% efficiency (excluding 80 PLUS) then if your running a 500W PSU at optimum power (500W) then you would be pulling 715W from the mains.

A 80% Efficient PSU would be pulling about 630W from the mains to acheive 500W. A 90% (dunno if it exists) will have to pull 550W to acheive 500W... so as you can see the 700W PSU cannot acheive 700W with only 700W, if that makes sense :D

  • Building your computers sucks, buy prebult. I am buying this computer later this year

  • Building your own pc is better for a number of reasons.... you save the cost of upgrading later, you can design it how you want, design it for what youll be doing. i paid 887 on a pre built and returned it built my own for 811 and its equal to in a few parts and better in some. plus i dont have all that extra bullshit on my system jsut the things i want and know

  • No it doesnt i build computers and upgrade them all the time. and I've saved over 5k in cash!

  • Well i perfer buying a prebuilt. I recently bought a emachine 2.4ghz from best buy for 300, great computer and great for gaming

  • i got that to its great!

  • Yea just add a good video card in it and add 4GB, and its great.

    peace

  • and a windows vista 64bit.

  • fuck this build ur own gaming pc

  • 32 bbit?

  • I'm waiting fore Intel Core i7 Processor from the gateway now is price is $ 1,249.00 waiting for less price

  • Fuck that, build your own PC!

  • too right, that system is a piece of crap

  • Im Going to buy a gateway!

    Quad core Q8200

    4 gb of ram

    Nvidia 9500gs 512 mb

    vista 64

    620 gb hard drive

    IT IS GOOD???

  • If you will be using it for games, it won't work with the newest games ( Crysis Warhead; FarCry2; CoDWaW ) on the highest settings, becouse if the 9500gs. Even though it has 512mb onboard ram, it's only GDDR2, that's really slow compared to gddr3 and 4&5. Also becouse it has only 128bits, won't use 1/2 gig of onboard ram. Go with 4850 for the money, if not 4650 was meant for you.

Others: 4gb of ram; will you have 64bit OS or only 32bit? If you'll have the normal version, your pc will only use

  • 3gb of RAM ( except with Photoshop CS3; it uses 3072gb of ram, other 1 gig will serve as memory for the system ), so look for 3gb of DDR2 5-5-5-15 latency ram.

  • ya,pretty good that will run pretty much anything,LOL I HAVE THE SAME SPECS!!!!

    lol thats funnyy eh?

  • heres for FSX

  • oooh 8600gt that card is garbage nice pc though

  • i just bought a gtx 260 and it fits in this case and works great.

  • will this computer run XFX 9800GX2 ?

  • Yea you can even run 2 of them if you have 2 its got 4 6 Pin Power Connectors

  • i wanna buy a gaming pc but i dont know wich one i want to like 1000$ to 2000$ i play games like wow age of conan battlefiled and many online games please reply to wich one i should buy

  • hey i just got this computer last week and its great. its very good at games. right now im playing crysis company of heroes and world in conlfict. i recommend this one.

  • well if you want a PC with alot of power and really fast dont get this desktop on the vid get the most recent Gateway FX desktop. the model im talking about is FX 4710 its like $1089 i bought mine at bestbuy.

  • Im gonna save up for that one. Im only 12 thogh and don't have a job though

  • im 14 i dont have a job either lol

  • anyone no if a gtx 280 will fit in this

  • windows 32 bits for gaming???NO WHAY!!! WINDOWS VISTA 64 THAT PC IS JUN

    K!!!

  • why put 3gigs in? that isnt going to dual channel very well... pathetic

  • 2 1GB sticks and 1 512MB... dual channel... listen, then talk

  • I see some of these with 5GB of RAM why not just 4-6GB? LOL

  • Lulz, I'm tired as hell right now ie mindfucked but if I'm not incorrect a 4gig set works better than 3gigs or 2gigs and 512mb, thus duel channeling, Why do you think people recommend 2gigs over 1gig, 512mb? so If I'm right, Fuck you and fuck your prebuilt pc's, CUSTOM MADE Ftw!

    Duel channel - x2 not x3

p.s I'm aware this post is going to make hardly any sense what so ever

  • You usually use either 4x 512mb for more performance if you just want 2gigs, which you'd usually select a better latency on the 512mb sticks, but if your going to get 1gig - 2gig sticks you go to either 2gigs - 4gigs - 6 gigs - 8 gigs, you dont go putting 2 1gig sticks and a 512mb stick in there...

  • Imo, to me even if you go putting 2x 512mb sticks in there to make it 3gb, whats the fucking point when ram is so cheap now days you might as well go and make it 4gigs by buying another 2x 1gig sticks, putting the 512's in there kinda defeats the purpose of actually upgrading and seeing results or dual channel its self, now I'm just confusing myself too so I'll shut up now and go to bed...

  • yeah you do that. Shut up. Ur argument was the dual channel. Not the performance against 3 Gb. There is dual channel. That was my argument.

  • not trying to be rude though 8D

  • This shouldnt be sold as a "gamer" product. While the Q6600 is a great CPU most gamers know that the bottleneck is in the GPU. The 8600 gt is a weak card thats really old(its been replaced by the 9600 gt). 680i chipset is also old and lacks the PCI-e 2.0 slot(would have been better to use a P45 chipset motherboard for about the same cost).

This just looks like Gateway is trying to reduce its inventory of old parts.

  • They added extra feature

    1) 9in1card [ useless ]

    2) 500Gb [ for me , that is too much ]

    3) Crappy heatsink

    4) GateWay Chassis

I can build 30$ better then the gateway "gaming" system.

  • good for u.

  • Ecs motherboard are crap there really cheap but have a lot of problems. That is probably why its so cheap.

  • OMG , they add additional things which gamer doesn't need. 8600GT is way too crappy for gamer.

  • This is old. a BTX chassis was phased out in 2006, though a few OEM's still use it. This is a decent machine but it isn't a high end gaming rig. Maybe good for multimedia users.

  • 8600 GT is to slow and 8600 GT SLI is usless. 9800 GT/8800 GT is better choice. But I am sure that you can customize and chose different VGA.

  • LOL i told gateway last time 680i's are old as fuck. a q6600 WAT?! no1 would buy this. a celeron 420 w/ an 8800gs is better than a q6600 and a 8600 gt. LOL

  • I wouldn't go as far as that, considering the Q6600 still owns AMD.

  • ARE YOU RETARDED? i said nothing about AMD. I hate amd and i am a intel and nvidia guy but this thing still sucks donkey dick

  • Yea, this system costs $1010, its a pos for that much. Also, if you look closely, they use the cheapest fans and other minor things.

  • OMG , the 9800GTX can't fit in the stupid chassis.

  • that sucks but just get a 8800 gt cause its only one slot and is the same as a 9800 gt just louder

  • Wow, btx...sucks! Not for gamers..gatway's nuts trying to sell a btx to a gamer.

  • dont buy this crap buy a console and get plenty of games for it if your a gamer.

  • You're stupid

  • no man im just sayin if people wanna buy this crap they might as well buy a console with a lot of games if they are buying it for games

  • a core 2 duo with an 8800gt would be more well-rounded for a gamer.

this pc is similar to my specs and i spent about half...

  • LOLOLOL what a crap. This PC is way old

  • He sounds like a used car salesman and he calls himself a looser i agree.......

  • Its a Gateway OMG.....should i barf now

  • cant build a pc for that price? a 1000 bucks? shit i can build n have a 4870x2 for a little more lawl lolz

  • And also, notice how Albert says you can upgrade to 8GB of RAM, though we're dealing with a 32-bit OS. In other words: completely useless. See how they try and trick you into thinking the rig you buy is very powerful and easily upgradeable, when it absolutely isn't.

  • All you have to do is upgrade the OS to take advantage of it. That's why it's "upgradeable" if you want to spend the cash for it.

  • ..some so called "gaming rig" with a outdated 8600GT and components which definitely don't sum up to $1000.

You're always better off buying the parts yourself, and if need be, getting it built by someone else.

    Good luck.

  • Sorry to say guys, but to any of you out there considering buying a prebuilt pc, whether it be this one or not, you're going to ripped-off big time. I'd never buy a prebuilt one, and especially not an overpriced gaming rig. In case you can't do it yourself for whatever reason it may be, try asking a friend who can help or your pc shop. The staff there normally can build your pc for a reasonable fee once you bought all the parts.

Trust me, you don't wont to end up squandering your money on...

  • the "popular" card is the 8600 gt!haahhaahhaha!

  • it would be cheaper and more fun the build a system yourself, and you could taylor each part to your needs. why bother buying ready made

  • Gateway lock bios ? so u can't overclock maybe ?

  • memory expandability up to 8GB.

    sure with 32Bit...

  • where is logan i miss him :(

  • this rig cost $1,020 does not worth it tho >.>

    3gb ddr2 ? y not 4 gb ? and dual channel them ?

16x dvd burner ? i got my LG 22x dvd burner for 25$ OEM

    8600gt ? hmm cost around 60$ ?

    quad q6600 ? 180-190$

    680i sli ? 200$

    idk where u get 1k $ from ( even when u add hard drive in it .. it doesn't cost 1k )

  • ECS motherboard sucks big, 8600GT sucks, u really don't want to upgrade PC that is already fully build and inside it sucks, PSU sucks even. One thing that is cool is case.

  • suck shit pc

  • This computer isn't good, why would you have a 32-bit version of Vista when every game out there is going "next gen". This is very low end, especially if it has a 8600!

  • gay way

  • WOOOW

  • Does it swim?

  • no but it can fly....

  • nice

  • Um...C2D processors can run only one thread per core, so Q6600 - 4 threads, not 8

  • Not too bad, I was looking at a Gateway machine from Futureshop that comes bundled with 8GB I do believe, but this looks to be one powerful, powerful machine.

  • 8600GT... Gaming PC? Not really.

  • 8600gt can run any game todate

  • o0oo0o, u call 10FPS playable?

  • Albert is pure awesome. Looks like a decent computer, but i would still prefer to build my own.

  • havent you uploaded this video before???

  • where is Logan ???

  • He left tiger direct.

  • why

  • he moved a loooooong time ago

  • Lol @ Albert he owns <3 LOL

  • hes waaaaay better then that english fag

  • Lol your right but he's not english...

  • 2ND

  • no i'm first ^^
