Shadowflick is correct, the original film is referenced in this one. When Dr. Chaliss is tied up in the chair, Mr. Cochran turns on the Halloween spook show and "masks" him with one of the Silver Sharock skull masks. On television is none other than the original "Halloween". I believe that the scene featured is the one in which Laurie Strode is leaving the Doyle house and going across the street to investigate the murderous goings on of Michael Myers. The soundtrack is neatly incorporated!
I would have liked this movie more if they had just created a different name for it, it has absolutely nothing to do with the Halloween series so calling it Halloween III was just a cheap advertising ploy

Starcraft... I guess it all depends on how you look at it. I believe John Carpenter's vision was to have a different themed "Halloween" film in the theatres each October. There may or may not have been a common thread between them and cast, writers and directors would differ. "Halloween Three: Season of the Witch" was a noble effort along these lines, in my opinion. Regardless, I think we both agree that this is a very interesting Halloween treat!
Although not part of he Michael Myers series, "Halloween 3" is an interesting film... neat concept. And the factory town, "Santa Mira" pays homage to "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".
@notredamehesamighty the whole movie is a homage to that story that why it ends with him screeming no in the phone i think.... i agree its diffrent but still not all bad.
