  • I can imagine seeing an alien like Frank C:

  • i thought obaachan ment grandmother?

  • Thank you for this cool video!

    I love it. :)

  • Haha this is incredibly helpful for beginners, but I already know all of this XD

  • waw this is very awesome thanks alot ^_^

  • the old lady says watashi wa obaasan desu, thats wrong, coz in japan, u should be very polite and putting san after ur own name is considered disrespectful to the person ur speaking with, coz being polite and humble is very important in japan =)

btw this is so funny! they should make a part 2 for it

  • "obaasan" means "old lady" so she is saying, "I am Old Lady." But you are right--you should never add "san" to your name.

  • lol, k thx i didnt kno

  • it depends, obaa is not a name so and has no meaning with just obaa, obaasan means grandmother.

  • obaaaaaaaaaaaaachan......watashiwa Rose desu...hihihi!

  • Make more of these vids! there great!

  • true, but the meaning of dajyobu usually means things r going alright..

  • mmm, sorry, I think daijyoubu doesn't mean "things are going well, alright ". "jyun chou desu(ka?)" or "umaku itte imasu(ka?)" are suitable for it. Daijyoubu has one meaning "OK" in now Japan. but this is fom my personal feeling. if i made mistake, sorry...

  • Nono, you're wrong. Daijobu means exactly what it says in the video. Seperately, those words mean different things, kind of like "together". If you split it up, "to" involves doing something (going somewhere), "get" is to receive, and "her" is a direct annotation for a woman. No offence, but learn some Japanese before accusing such an awesome video, which makes total sense and helps folks learn some of the basics. 5/5 stars.

  • kore wa topikku o suteki da yo.....

  • Fu-dan-ku-dess LMAO!!

  • This is good for begginners :) jaa, mata ne!

  • watashi wa erika desu

  • Omoshiroii desu, Arigatou Gozaimasu!!!! It is very helpful :)

  • When the video started I was.."What the heck!? A star Wars movie??" Lol btw this is really atracking me to HEAR MORE! Domo arigatou gozaimasu!

  • Hmm.. I would saay.. Option 1!

    Jokes aside.. xD

Thanx! Fun way to learn japanese xD

  • great, thank you.

  • What a way to teach things XD...

    NICE....

  • oh snap that guy just sound like grandma.

  • was helpful but i could not stand it felt so wierd watching this

  • Domo arigatou^^

  • Sugoi!Arigatou!

  • isnt coon a racial slur?

  • it's spelled "kun" but their "u" sounds like "oo"

  • I know.

The point about when u is attached certain constatnants, that it becmes silent or just starts sounding like a normal Englisg u is what I was pointing out. Kun = cunt - t, more or less.

  • Kun = cunt - t ???

That would mean the 'u' in Japanese sounds like the 'u' in 'tub' or 'cub,' which it doesn't. I wish they could pronounce that. It'd make my job a lot easier haha. 'u' doesn't precisely like 'oo' either, the narrator is not a native speaker so when he said 君 (kun) the pronunciation was Americanized. The omission of the 'u' sound altogether which you referred to depends on the next sound. The 'u' in 好き (suki) is typically dropped, however the 'u' in 国 (kuni) is not.

  • any 1 know what the song os call at the beginning?

  • This is hilarious and vey helpful I might add. It's a good rest from reading Japanese learning books, plus it's fun to watch. Thank you for this.

  • very helpful, thank u

  • "And so the saga begans"?

  • I have a question lol its about the music at the begining what is it? =P arigato.

  • do you have the continuation of frank's story?

  • It is a matter of... perspective.

  • KAWAII

I wanna crash land in Japan....

  • that's cute and helps a lot.

  • OPTION 1 FTW

  • It's bloody entertaining. Thats why it's easy to learn

  • Lol you deserve a high five too lol ^.^ -put's my hand on screen to make a high five- xD

    -puts hand on screen-

  • hai, soodesu

  • haha, good, all ur videos are good for me,an amateur haha.

  • Kuoi! This is awesome! hahaha! hai genki desu! anata wa? nhhaha

  • Thanks!

  • i think that you guys may want to focus a little more on sentence structure. So then people can make their own sentences using the sentence structure =)

  • Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.

  • I love it! It is the first time I hear this about "ha and wa".

    Arrigato gozaimasu! Konnichiwa(ha)!

  • what's the diff. bet. katakana and hiragana?

  • Katakana is mainly used to write foreign words...I think. ^^;;

  • Katakana resembles english words a lot more, like kompyuta = computer, or suimmingu = swimming =D

  • Wow, This is a cool video, I love how your teaching the basics of Japanese ^^
