After the 6 were born and at home, Kate went BACK to work. And she worked even through the first episode of the show. Then she quit, not because of money they got from the show, but because the commute was too much and they didn't have someone to watch the kids when they needed it. Then as the show continued she continued to stay home because, a-Jon got a boost at work, and b-the show gave them money.
But let me through this one in, They have 8 college tuitions to pay, 5 weddings to pay for, years and years of check-ups to pay for. Yes, the show provides them money and opportunities that they would not have otherwise had. But, the trips they have, promote the place. I will admit that without the show, I would have never heard of Discovery Cove. The gosselins got a free trip and Discovery cove got my money because of the publicity they had on Kate plus 8.
Yes, she likes to go to the spa and chose to get her body back. I don't know a mom that doesn't want time for herself or want the body she had pre-kids. So if you are a mom and haven't figured that out yet-that sucks for YOU, not kate.
