the thing is there are 2 types of Compressions. The lossless and Lossy. At this case we are talking about Lossy. It can surely make a file smaller but it will definitely take away some quality. To put it simple. If you compress an AVI file from 100MB to 20MB then the quality will be nearly 5 times lower. Even though your eyes may not notice difference between 100% and 80%, you sure can notice the difference in a 100MB file and a 20MB one.

right click on your video file and see what the "data Rate " is.

type the same Data rate in so you loose no quality.

choose a format. click the format button and your done (:

also i found out. MP4 are even better quality ^_^ but a bit bigger in size.

dude you need to change the title of this vid. Shrinking a file to 90% of its original size is barely shrinking it all. For example if you shrink a 100mb file to 90% of its size it will become 90mb, 90=90% of 100. look when u make a video with fraps then it is like 10 gbs and u cant upload it to anyware so u have to open windows movie maker and then open ur video and then export it or save i dunno then it is looks like shit and is so small res + it is so small but i think it is not worth the loss of quality! better use some third party video editing software that allowes u to make HD videos.
