One question: Did you remove the diminished chord on the 6th bar (Eb dim7 on the original) for the sake of making the jamming easier/simpler?

I really like that idea, since i'm skipping lot of songs because i can't keep up with the chord changes. Please respond, thanks! Good jam!

In the blues, chord substitutions are key! At any time, wether you are comping, walking, soloing; you can choose to sub in a chord in the blues (even moreso in a jazz blues, which this is.. or was ? ;P jk ). A few eg's for you to work off of;

2nd bar, add in a IV chord.

7th bar, add a iii Chord, 8th bar, add a vi Chord.

Bars 11-12, add a I-vi-ii-V.

Those are some of the most standard, for some other flavor, try adding a ii-V of the IV chord leadup in the 4th bar. Good Luck!
