Good observation, in this video, we laid down the ice just minutes before our first skate. It takes a while for the ice to 'break in'. The more skate marks and cuts, the ice performs better. When the ice is smooth or glossy the puck does not ride as well until surface is roughed up. This is temporary and the puck moves up to speed quickly.
We are the importers of the ice so we have not 'branded' it as of yet. We have installed it at major ice rinks/training facilities and residences so far and the response has been overwhelming! Name to come soon. You can email me off line and I can set you up with pricing. chad794@gmail.com
I have personally logged over 10,000 hours as a hockey instructor over the past decade on synthetic ice. (yes, pretty strong statement) I have not experience long term or short term issues with my skates. I feel that the lubricant plays a strong role in the duration of blades. There are some synthetic ice brands that are not as kind to skates. Make sure you try out before you buy!
No problem with TBlades or aggressive V-groove style sharpening. We recently had a former NHL player skate with the Vgroove sytle and he really enjoyed the experience.
hello, I'm in Brazil and would like to know what the material used to make synthetic ice rink, and if you sell this material for Brazil, or indicate a company here in my country .. Thank you for your attention
We can deliver to just about every corner of the world. Out product is a self lubricated ice that can be laid indoors or out and can be picked up in minutes. We can be reached at 847.815.7138 to place an order. Thanks!
