In TFC (Best game ever Made) the command is "default_fov x". Personally, I and most competative players use 120 fov.

Although you have probably found the command already, type "viewmodel_fov x" with x being a number greater than 54 (54 being the default). Test what you like, this video appears to be using viewmodel_fov 90.

It normally does, as when you write a command like that into the console it writes it to your config.cfg file, which stores all your default settings. So normally it will stay like that forever. If you dont like it, you can always put it back to 54 or 75 or whatever you use.

What's the point of this? it just destroys your depth perception and makes everything feel like your on Ketamine, signs.de servers are some of the worst in TF2. anything envolving a "premium" account is just going to attract douche bags and spoil the game for people who don't realise it's not vanilla mode.

viewmodel_fov 90 is what is the highest for most tournament/competition play.

@sGCoreasheS viewmodel_fov is a setting for your VIEWMODEL. To set your field of view, use "fov" and "fov_desired"
