  • No Chris #2. No. Just stop.

  • america is fuckt up and it getn worse we need to go back to the 60s and 70s the way the good lord intended it

  • @wanabslash91 the 40s

  • i hear crap all the time about how i should be proud of my country, but i can't think of a single thing to be proud of. Rascism? Genocide? Hypocrisy? Tyranny?

my country has done fuck-all to earn my pride.

  • haha my school doesnt even do the pledge.

  • @FeedMeeeh lucky. i constantly get yelled at cus i wont stand up. annoying as hell. we all have the freedom of speach until we disagree

  • People wanna know what "punk" is? Basically, search "anti nowhere league - so what." The first line of that song is pretty much the perfect definition.

  • I find it fuckin stupid that on youtube people are argueing in full fuckin paragraphs like there in english class or some shit saying whats punk well you know whats punk? Just saying FUCK YOU!

  • @CRAZYCEOPS no its not man. watch the video. show me an interview where any politically charged punk band just says "You know what I think of the current state of affairs? FUCK IT!" It doesn't exist. You know what's more punk than "Just saying FUCK YOU!"? Actually knowing what the hell you're talking about.

  • @hardcore039 Sure you should know what your talking about, but why waste your time arguing with some dick no one ever admits there wrong

  • I have'nt said the pledge since... the fifth grade i think, i get so much shit for it, soo dumb, people dont even know what there doing, they do it becaause they are told to.

  • This group fucking sucks. A bunch of drugged traiterous homosexuals. Who the hell think this is cool? And who gives a shit if the US kills Arabs. Arabs are not human.

  • @SteveSmith26 Okay, Hitler Jr., we see you.

  • So you change into a fag stick! Dude "Die For Your Government" Was a damn good song! But your change is for the worst! FAGSSSSS!

  • @dropkickbush Luckily they aren't homophobic assholes like you.

  • All I heard was "blah, blah, blah... Trotsky quote... wah, wah, wah."

  • Only sometimes does punk and politics mix. Rancid isn't political. And I love them but I personally don't think anti-flag is entirely punk.

  • @Pearlmore182 whoa!!! Rancid is most definitely political!!! you need to sit down with some lyric sheets. you dont know matt and tim where half of Op Ivy? suuuuuper political band. you dont think that carried over... and for anti-flag not being entirely punk... punk is not a sound, its not a style of music.

  • @666blackstatis666 Saying punk is not a style of music would be taken as an insult to any band under the name of punk. Your saying it isn't music at all, thats basically telling them they suck. and it may be true that Operation Ivy was a political band, and even though Tim and Matt were half of Op Ivy, Op Ivy is not Rancid. The Ramones completely defeat the idea of all punk rock being political.

  • @Pearlmore182 i'm just saying its deeper than that. the way i understand it, is that it is rock n roll... played by punks, or reggae, or ska, or whatever kind of music a punk plays. but how you understand it is also subjective to you. maybe you've never heard a band that isn't rock but still considered punk, but is still "punk" due to the attitude, or whatever you would consider to make someone a punk. ...ramones were also political though, "bonzo goes to bitzburg"?

  • @666blackstatis666 I listen to a good share of ska punk too, such as Less Than Jake, however, somebody who spends more time listening to the lyrics wouldnt know how punk has a distinct sound that is different from those of ska, rock, and alternative. also if it was simply based of of lyrics, there would not be any subgenres at all. Punk has a long list of sub genres such as Hardcore, Skate punk, ska punk, OI!, Pop-punk, and it goes on

  • @Pearlmore182 its not based off of lyrics. i agree with that. whatever it means to you is what it means to you. we could keep going round and round arguing this.

  • @Pearlmore182 anti flag is a lot more punk than paramore or blink 182. A huge percent of the older, real punk bands were incredibly political, like The Clash, Crass, Subhumans, Reagan Youth and Dead Kennedys.

  • @roboimp i was talking about bands like Rancid and The Ramones, bands that weren't political at all and are still very punk. I'm aware that blink-182 is a pop-punk band and Paramore not punk at all. But i never even mentioned them, my comment was entirely focused on Rancid which. and punk isn't about the lyrics, its about the attitude.

  • wow. punks really do know which record labels are major and others that r indie. i never heard of ant flag on the radio and on tv except maybe on fuse and jimmy kimmel live. tiger army had their performance on Kimmel's outdoor stage. saw it on abc7. the're on either hellcat or epitaph

  • These guys are so pahetic. They quote Trotski and work for RCA...

Do as I say not as I do...

  • @Fleurdelix yo bro they did one cd wit rca and then to a breech of contract they left and went back to a smaller comp. i have met anti flag many times the latest at the g20 protests in pitt there hometown they were out thier wit the kids gettin gased so dont down a group till u really know about them

  • @Fleurdelix not anymore dude. they left RCA and are on Side One Dummy, an independent label. I think they realized what they were doing.

  • @Fleurdelix aaahhh... now you havent read their interview where they got called out on signing to RCA. they replied saying that if you believe in your message, you have to do what it takes within your moral code to get that message out. they had been approached by many, many large labels and eventually went with RCA for 1 RECORD, because they had TOTAL control over what they did, where they went, etc...

  • This is not punk, period. This is emo-pop wannabe punk. It does not matter what their messege is, it's still not punk. Get over it if any emofanboys gets offended by this fact its their problem.

  • @shavemyballs13

this is not emo! maybe this isnt punk but they are good

  • and what, may I ask, is punk then?

  • @hardcore039 try Cock sparrer, the exploited or perkele maybe.

    Anti flag is pop.

  • @shavemyballs13

i'm familiar. it sounds like the only thing thats punk to you is leaning towards hardcore. do you think the ramones are punk? the clash?

  • @hardcore039 they sure are, all I'm saying is that this band is not.

  • @shavemyballs13 the clash maybe not in my eyes.

  • @shavemyballs13

then i don't know what you mean. first of all the clash is definitely widely considered to be punk by the kids in the scene at the time, so if kids in the 70s could call them punk along with cock sparrer and the exploited then what makes you know better than them? are slayer and metallica metal, or is that term only reserved for black sabbath and judas priest and deep purple?

  • @hardcore039 well to be honest I'm not in a position to say if clash is punk or not since I'm not a big fan of the band. But what I've heard maybe we should call them mainstream rock or something. That's my opinion agree with me or don't fuck do I care.

  • @shavemyballs13, well i appreciate you admitting that, most people on the internet would just feign expertise. all i'm saying is that "punk" is a term used to describe a really wide variety of music. you seem to be referring to hardcore. thats okay, but it doesn't make anti-flag any less punk, just on a different side of the spectrum. they are definitely not hardcore or streetpunk, but they are still punk

  • @hardcore039 I hear ya, personally I would place this band in the pop category. But you have a point I give you that.

  • UNDEFINEABLE.

  • antiflag isnt against america, theyre against the people who've screwed up america

  • anti-flag proves a vital issue, their not anti-american in fact it's probably the most american thing they can do is to write and sing about our problems with health care, the military industrial complex

  • lol military industrial complex. eisenhower?

  • at least i know what it is unlike some other people lol

  • @sbritt1994

except when they accuse the United States of being the greatest force for evil in the world.

  • Everyone should sit and listen to this band and absorb what they have to say, open your damn eyes people, stop beveling everything your told by the mainstream media and everything your old by your government, get out and find the truth for yourself!

  • Its very easy to critisise.

Its hard to take up a cause, wrong or right, and stick by it.

Im joining the Army, love me or hate me I dont give a fuck because I know your to scared to follow me. So you can sit and whinge and do nothing.

    Peace!

  • Oh..Chris. Love him very much <3

  • fuckin pussies

  • so paarty on

    peace :D

  • Chris#2´s hairstyle is fucking greaaaaaaaaaaat!!!

  • chris 2 looks a bit like jeff takeover

  • Party on.................lols

  • I always have douchebags thinking I am Anti-American. Let them think what they want. The people I care about know what its about, and support them also. I love this band so goddamn much

  • AMEN TO THAT!

  • FUCK THE U.S.A!!!

  • dude, that is one of the smarting think ive ever heard some on say lol...

  • i wore an anti-flag shirt, and someone looked at my shirt and said "Anti-Flag!?! Does that Mean You Hate America!!!?!?" i just laughed at him

  • that shit happen to all the time haha p some people are so ignorant right?

  • it gets annoying yah lol

  • haha man thats happened to me many a time! Everytime i where my new kind of army shirt

  • lmao

  • @dannyrennie lol dude that happened to me with a bad religion shirt "squak, does that mean you're satanic? Squak liberal hippie commie"

  • @dannyrennie you should have said... "right on"

  • @dannyrennie RIIIIIGHT OOOONNNN!

  • @dannyrennie

    Story of my life.

Well actually, it was a sweatshirt.

  • @dannyrennie happens to me all the time. idiots

  • im not against America, i love America, lived there my whole life. but the politics are the things that drive me insane. i hate when people talk about sumthin there gonna do and dont act

  • i got in trouble a while back this year for not standing up for the pledge and for wearing an anti-flag back patch on my jacket...im not going to pledge under a flag that's responsible for the murder and torture of those who don't conform to what the US has to offer

  • yea at my school my sophomore English teacher last year made it so that we didn't have to stand for the pledge because he felt that if we didn't believe in it then we shouldn't have to stand up for it.

and it's lame that you got in trouble it's completely ridiculous.

  • Plus being patriotic doesn't mean that you have to be a redneck asshole...Skepticism is completely patriotic.

  • skepticism is easy

doubting your country all the time doesn't make you patriotic, it dosen't mean you love it, especially if you actually hate it

  • Major props!

  • Right on!

  • @reb2550 i got in trouble for not standing the other day, i got suspended.

  • @reb2550 I stand but don't say the pledge

  • i rermeber back in the day

i got sooooooooo much shit for wearing an anti flag hoodie, and now all the gay ass preps are all like

    ANTI FLAG they ROCK

  • go minor threat!

  • You need to put REAL effort in making your hair look THAT bad. Props to that dude.

  • i love anti-flag, i'm seeing support with rise against in february and i think those 2 bands go really well together but flobots are also supporting -- why???!

anti-flag will be amazing though, i'm kinda looking forward to them more than rise against :D

  • i went last night did you see them at leeds? Anti Flag was so good and it was brilliant when Chris2 joined in when rise aginst playd "life less frightening" absolutly awesome night :)

  • I saw them supporting RA with Flobots, were awesome :)

  • Profitprophet368, punk and politics not only mix, but punk IS a political music ;)

  • each to its own. please dont make overstatements. and anti-flag are not emo. rites of spring are emo

  • WTF!? Ani-FLag is a political punk rock band, and it has nothing to do with EMO.

  • punk and politics don't mix?..

punk started because of politics.. it is a politic..

  • HOW DO POLITICS AND PUNK NOT MIX?!?!?

THE SEX PISTOLS SENT ENGLAND INTO UTTER AND TOTAL CHAOS BECAUSE OF GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!!!! THAT IS WHAT STARTED PUNK AS WE KNOW IT TODAY!!!

go listen to Minor Threat, Bad Religion, NoFX, Pennywise, Rise Against, the Clash, THe Casualties, Operation Ivy, Bad Brains, and Oxymoron and THEN tell me that punk and politics dont mix.

EVERY one of those bands writes nothing but Socio-political commentaries. you dumb little uneducated inbred scene kid.

  • yeah he's right, music can inspire people

911 for peace changed my life, I realized that all that they were talking about was true so I started changing myself

  • you say anti-flag sucks....well....i don't see you trying to do change something and i don't thing you say what you think about the wrong things in this world as they do it...so...when you're doing something better than they do,maybe then u can say something bad about them

  • i hear alot of people saying they suck now in all honesty i dont think there new cd was that good but it has a couple good songs on it and there still gonna play older stuff too some of the people are making too big a deal about it sure there music has changed but get over it alot of bands dont like doin the same shit constantly so its not like the worlds gonna end just because they changed a bit there still a great band

  • lol i never knew about the name thing but that is really funny lol

  • justins really last name is geever

  • did Justin's parents name him "Justin" on purpose? Justin Sane is Just Insane

  • Lol. Also, the the drummer Pat thetic, Pathetic. Its kinda of cool.

  • never noticed it with pat. but pats middle name is christ

  • Thats not his real name. its his nickname

  • ur saying anti-flag sucks even though theyve created something tht can get all fo us teens out of tht dumb wear in iraq. they suck because ther fans have become smart from listenin to them.

  • I like Anti-flag, their old stuff anyway their new stuff is pop-garbage.

  • i think it's all really good. it's different than some of their other stuff but like.. whatever. not a huge deal. music progresses.

  • new anti flag is good. not as good as their old but good. you just hate it cause you're ona the pricks who thinks they sold out... or maybe you just don't like the sound... that could be it too

  • yah,I think they sold out,its sad and it sorta pisses me off

  • I don't think they sold out. In fact, the first time RCA tried to interfere with an album of theirs (Bright Lights of America), the gave the RCA company a big middle finger and a big "go to hell" and started their own record company.

  • there lyrics are the same but there sound is to mainstream, I dont know but maybe they confused appealing to a bigger crowd with changing completely,I got nothing agenst them personaly though

  • Most bands change their sound. Usually in the direction that Anti Flag did (see System of a Down: Hypnotize and Mesmerize for contradiction). That is one measure of whether you're a "sell out" or not. My measure is how co-operative a band is with a corporation (or in the case of 3 Doors Down and Kid Rock- the whores- the bloody military). Anti Flag is totally uncooperative with corporations.

  • you are way to smart for me,man,I'm just going to agree with you. I still like anti flag

  • Thanks, and Anti Flag is awesome.

  • They've had their own record company for nearly a decade.

  • ok.

  • Thats a matter of opinion...

  • Anti-flag sucks now when they started were great!!

  • All talk no action?

They've started two charities and have released a benefit EP.

    I think that constitutes action.

  • Chris # 2 <3 <3

  • saw them in glasgow last nite nd meet them after wards the best gig iv been too !

  • i saw them play in philly this past saturday and while i enjoyed the show i felt like #2 was just preaching to the converted the whole time. its like dude i agree with what you think thats why im here just play some damn music. still a good show though.

  • can anyone tell me the name of the song played when the girl is in the bed with the book?

    thanks =]

  • one trillion dollars

  • thank you!

    =]

  • 1 trillion dollars

  • one trillion dollars!!

  • woohooo, i met them =D

  • awesome video i aggree with justin some times all i have is music

  • anewkindofband anti-flag is comming to the mid-west they are playing K.C. on March 30th and i think they have some shows in Missouri, and some other mid-west towns just look at their homepage for tour dates.

  • this band writes from the head not from the heart. Bands like NOFX, Jello Biafra and Bad Religion are all real activists with organisations such as punkvoter and the rock against bush compilations. these are the bands who are actually making a difference.

  • Hey Moron,Anti-Flag were on Rock Against Bush 1 and were involved in Punkvoter. Do some damn research before you watse our time with your wrongness!!!!

  • and they do a ton of stuff with military free zone

  • man i wish they would come to the midwest these guys are a life changing band

  • Justin is sure.

The Clash is the best ever.

  • Haha! I like Justin's comment on his favorite bands...mine is also the Clash! WOO!

  • love this band for their political ideas.. how i wish they could come over to singapore for a gig.. =(

  • yeah they put on one hell of a show. one of the best live bands around. i love how they are down to earth as well. they're not into themselves like a lot of punks and punk bands.

  • Justin's mohawk is dead.... anyway, anyone who hasn't should greatly consider seeing this band live. You won't regret it.

  • im going to see them on march 31st

  • Yeah, Justin's mohawk did look awesome...

Ah well, it's not like it matters anyway. The man's still speaking out and that's what counts, eh?

  • the clash and dead Kennedys are awesome bands, i love anti flag, you guys get the point across

  • Props to Trotsky.

  • They are complete champions.

i had tickets to the melbourne show,

and i got stopped going, JUST as i was about to leave

    i was shattered.

  • i agree, i met them in melbourne they did a signing and listening party. To get entery you had to rbuing canned food for a local charity.

thats the kind of stuff separating them from other bands whoa re all talk and people that call them sell outs probably just dont like thier music.

  • i agree, and anyway, dosen't a band that encourages political activism need to be a sell out?

or how whould they get the message out? gonna see em friday :))))))))))

  • enjoy the show they have a killer live performance

  • These dudes have got the right idea. They've influenced me a lot.
