  • How do the know that this is the tree written about hundreds of years ago?

  • If Robin died in 1247, this means he hid in it almost 800 years ago, way back in the Middle Ages. Cool!!!

  • Robin Hood never existed. Sorry man. There is nothing to support his existence.

  • Ahhh shucks

  • Hey man...it's a great story. Maybe he DID exist...it's just that there is no evidence. Personally..in my heart...I hope he DID.

  • Quasi existed mate. There is some speculation that a person of that time was used a model for Robin Hood. Who, btw, was executed along with most of his men by being boiled. However, Tuck, could not be boiled, because he was a Friar. ;-)))))

    funny ain't it.

  • @TheDarkVII yes he did.

  • i think this tree should be allowed to die naturally why have humans gone and proped it up id dont want to live leave it alone let nature take its corse

  • the major oak isn't actually dieing. there is nothing humans can do to save a tree. if its ready to die, it will. i don't think there is anything wrong with preserving a beautiful tree's integrity. besides that robin hood will roll over in his grave when that tree goes, lol

  • right then would you have the same view with chemotherepy and cancer to humans !

  • im doin my work experience there this week lol

  • i went there today

  • LONG LIVE THE MAJOR OAK
