This isn't one of the songs of her available on iTunes. Does anyone know where it can be found? Could someone please explain the difference between "Kelsang Metok" and "Gesangmeiduo?" Is Gesangmeiduo the name of a band she is in? I also find on iTunes a song called "Ge Sang Mei Duo" with the artist name of "Deqianwangmu." She sounds like Kelsang Metok, but I'm not 100% sure.
They are the same name, Kelsang metok is in Tibetan and the Gesangmeido is how Chinese say it. Deqianwangmu is Dechen Wangmo for Tibetan, she is a different artist.
Its wonderful song , what is the name of this song ? I will search the other versions.. I think I can find any more beautiness every version of this song..
@ikhamo Kelsang Metok has another song which called "You are my sonia".. I often heard "Sonia" word in Tibetian song , so i asked it what does it mean.. Thank you very much for answer :)
i'm not sure but u know tibetans in tibet speak mandarin and the other ethnic dialects just like tibetans in India speak different indian dialects. u have to!
@myfreetibet I think you are referring to Gyalrong Tibetan language. Gyalrong Tibetan language is currently officially classified as a branch of Qiang language.
Kelsang Metok is from the beautiful Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture you know, she is a Gyalrong Tibetan, so naturally she can speak Gyalrong Tibetan.
I think she is from Kongpo. If you look closer, her eyes are set wide apart. I noticed that when someone else pointed it out. I dont think she is that beautiful. :)
@ikhamo Kongpo written in Han Chinese is 贡布 or 工布. Kongpo is in southeast Tibet, Nyingkhri region. It's famous for the Yarlung Zangbo canyon. The Aba region on the other hand is in northern Sichuan province, famous for the Zitsa Degu, better known as Jiuzhai Village (九寨沟).
Aba (阿坝, རྔ་བ) is a Tibetan name. The full name is རྔ་བ་བོད་རིགས་ཆའང་རིགས་རང་སྐྱོང་ཁུལ (Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture). Although Aba is now a part of Sichuan, it is actually Amdo historically.
Currently there are two explanations to the origin of Aba region -- the first is because the region is shaped like a drum, and nga is drum in Tibetan. The second is due to the history of Aba region, the people here were descendant of the Ngari soldiers and families from the heart of Tibet posted here by the King in the past, and these people call themselves Ngari-ba or (阿里娃), and as time goes by, people call this place with a simplified name, Nga-ba, translates to Han Chinese as Aba.
One thing for sure, it's got magnificent sceneries everywhere. If you enjoy scenery and peace and tranquility, then Zitsa Degu of Aba is magnificent. If you like art and music, then Rekong of Amdo is not a bad choice. But those places are tourism economy if you know what I mean.
Favourited.

Yeah, that song is in my uploaded video collection. It's a popular Hindi song from a Bollywood movie, it's not Tibetan.
Maybe u heard some Tibetan word that sounded like Soniya.
There is Soya, or soyarilo in many Tibetan songs. It means soar, soar higher.
