Obviously anybody who would not accept that Muslims have an absolute moral right to treat non-Muslims as cattle, either taking them as property or slaughtering them as would best suit, is a terrorist or a racist or a bigot. This is the de facto stance of much of the Western establishment political class, media and academia today and of the British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Royal-mail is being run down for privitisation.......That's for sure........Wake-up general public? Have you noticed how bad your postal service is getting? There is a reason?Postmen are being screwed....
@TheJinkedful it is legal because they choose to make it legal. Thats why you hear them say they could "close loop holes." Its immoral to avoid tax payment. Wheres the patriotism or the sense of care for the vunerable? If this country has made someone rich enough to be able to employ a tax accountant/bank to get them out of paying tax they should thank society for making them that wealthy and pay their fair share.
Why is it youtube user think they can make personal comments like that?
@andlookmore they already contribute by paying 20,000 people to work in the uk. thats how an economy works. taking their money will mean they are less able to employ more people in future. "pay their fair share?" why should they pay more when they alreday pay plenty! they create wealth, and jobs for this country... but i must say, now you want us all to be patiotic? after the left spent the past 13 years telling us patriotism is wrong and we shouldn't feel anything for our fellow brits?
@TheJinkedful Ok so if I create stock and sell it in France and make a profit I have a business. I then pay a driver to transport that item and collect payment from the customer. I then take the profit, say £1000, and under the Vodafone tax example I would pay about £10 tax on my profit, while my driver would be paying at least 20% tax on his wages. Is that reasonable? What other businesses get to act in this manner? And how does moving their wealth to an offshore tax haven create more jobs?
@andlookmore It scares me how thick people have gotten... What do you mean reasonable? they are a private company, they take nothing from the government, they contribute to society by employing 20,000 people.. you paid the driver; his money is from your business so him paying tax is you paying tax... You people need to understand that the government can't do everything for us... the only way our country can improve is through private enterprise... thats why the south rocks and the north sucks.
@TheJinkedful this isn't a matter of being thick, this is two sides of a debate! can't you see that? Do you think just because someone has another opinion than you makes them thick?
Anyway, by your reasoning people that own businesses shouldnt pay tax because their employees do? So Plumbers shouldn't pay tax if they employ an apprentice who pays tax? Accountants shouldnt pay tax if they employ secretaries? Really?
@andlookmore i don't want to debate. this is youtube! and yeah, in a lot of cases if people disagree with me they are thick... i do an empirical degree see, so there is a right answer and a wrong answer... and taking money out of the real economy by excessive taxation is an example of wrong. If this were a debate; -4 points for slippery slope; they already pay tax indirectly through their employees, as if their employees didn't have to pay tax they wouldn't have to pay them as much.
@TheJinkedful "taking money out of the real economy ... is wrong"- I would say look at the countries with best standards of living and emulate them: these aren't low tax economies but have been proven to get results! Hows that for observable evidence. Also Britain is the sixth richest country in the world! So the taxation system has been working up till now: Vodafone doesnt need a tax break. That money could literally saved lives, or been used to cut the deficit in order to bolster the market...
@TheJinkedful The system that you are advocating does generate wealth, you are right, but it costs living standards, drives down wages, destroys communities. Look at the world, where are the countries with the highest standard of living, best education, happiest populations? The highest ranking countries in these follow Keynesian models NOT free market deregulated models.(Keynesian is where you have more private influence than public but the government regulates the excess of the private sector)
@andlookmore oh, you are quite informed then, my apologies. I am not advocating hayek if that's what you thought, i essentially play devils advocate on youtube for the sake of it, sad i know, but i enjoy it. But one thing i will say for keyenes; if he'd known about stagflation, he would probably have rethought a bit.
@TheJinkedful And by the way, the North has the fourth biggest financial centre in Europe, it holds massive gold, coal, water, energy reserves - including the largest deposits of oil in the EU!!!
@andlookmore and yet 64% of the north eastern economy is dependent on government subsidy? in terms of financial centers if you mean Edinburgh thats in Scotland not the north ("the north" referring to "the north" of england", or if you mean Birmingham thats in the midlands not the north.
@TheJinkedful So what will happen to Northern England when that subsidy is removed? Intelligent people told there is no chance for them at uni, hard working productive people told there are no jobs for them, families told there is no health care for their loved ones, elderly people seeing they will die of neglect? That just sounds dangerous and not a country I want to live in no matter how rich the some of us may become...
@TheJinkedful the private sector jobs will take over the public sector jobs is what will happen. These places have had too much government subsidy for years its about time the private sector played its part and now it will! This government is repairing the economy which takes time as browns government spent all the money and left us with a huge deficit that is unsustainable - therefore some painful cuts are needed otherwise u let the deficit get bigger and out of control.
@TheJinkedful the private sector jobs will take over the public sector jobs is what will happen. @TheJinkedful btw it was illegal what vodafone were doing.they moved profits 2a foriegn country after being told this was against the law by HMRC.They did it anyway. They got caught.Rather than pay what they owed they hired a lawyer and tried to negotiate what they owed. For over a year HMRC was fighting this case. Then the tories got in, went against the advise of their financial legal team, and wrote off the debt. A month later G Osbourne was in India LAUNCHING A PHONE!!! for vodafone! Corrupt!
Look at Brown 0.36.Not so funny for you now Brown is it with Blair,Mandy and Milliband all stabbing you in the back and saying what a useless sack of shit you are. Good riddance to the ugly, cyclopic, snot gobbling, marxist moron.
thank god the brown monster has gone. Incompetant, ugly, liar, disingenuous, wobbly necked, unelected, failure weak..
we now have a strong and credible government. The government we deserve. Labour was toxic, bad for our country and opposed all forms of fairness. god bless dave.
david cameron is a thatcherite twat. Remember what thatcher did to bt and british rail??? Privitisation is not in anyone's interest other than the shareholders. Prices go up, service goes down. Your local postman will be replaced with an immigrant getting paid £1 per hour. Forget getting mail 6 days a week, forget the low prices, forget getting packets delivered to your door...want to do the american way of going to the office to get your mail??
@democracysupport Prices go down you retard, look at the deregulation and privatization of the Airline industry.
Nothing about government is low priced, would you want government making mobile phones?
Thatcher just stopped funding those failing businesses, do you support corporatism then? Why should one business get government funding and another not?
Do you remember what Thatcher inherited? Stagflation (30% inflation), IMF bailout, 3 day work weeks and the winter of discontent.
Man these two politicians deserve respect, absolutly. They are very talented, its easy to deliver critics when you're not leading, while its very hard to lead, take decisions and take on the critics, I have my respect to Brown. As to Cameron, only time will show
David, David, David what were you thinking having a contraversel Group over to. NO 10. To a party. Oh what a mistake! Come on David. Think of the consequences. . You are a conservative with high ideals. Don't let down your principles down. We look up to you. You are our golden boy for hope for the future. Keep the faith. Let's clean up England and get her on the right track. Good luck and God Bless you.
Wait till general public see what royal mail's 'modernising' will do to their postal service......watch this space............ha...ha...ha.....All you people who wanted privitisation have got what you wanted......If you want your mail at a reasonable time you can forget it ....unless you want to pay£££££££££.....'.If ' you have a postman he will be part-time or temp....You will get your mail between 11-5pm......This is what the clowns who are running royal-mail are proposing..HA...HA..HA.
The Royal Mail is a national institution dating back hundreds of years; it would be wrong to sell off part of our heritage. However, part-privatisation of about 30% would enable the Royal Mail to compete with other forms of communication, such as email and texting, and is the only way that the business can continue to deliver mail six days a week to almost every household in the country.
@MrYoungIndependence What's wrong with completely privatising it? Just because something dates back hundreds of years and is part of our heritage doesn't mean it can't be sold off. Privatisation would benefit everyone, including the Royal Mail itself.
@JoshPHooker Even Margaret Thatcher did not privatise the Royal Mail, because she knew that it was the only way that many people could afford to send letters. However, it made a profit of £255mn in the financial year of 2008/09, despite a pension fund deficit of £9bn. This cannot be ignored. Part-privatisation is a good idea, but not total privatisation.
@BuckFastZombie It looks silly and overly dramatic (and well it is...) but it keeps who ever is in power in check. It allows the opposition and members of the leading party to question decisions being made and bring it to public attention. It doesn't last that long!
LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON? Hothead James Murdoch seems to be losing it over his papers support for Cam the Man is resulting in dwindling newspaper circulation!!.
What you wont read in the Murdoch press:
The Goldman Sachs bankers who are funding the Tories!
dont let rich toffs and the media make u beleave gordon brown is bad he is from a working class bk ground un like camron who doesent want to make the rich pay higher tax wonder why these RICH media outlets such as the SUN ..SKY NEWS...an others are out to distroy gordon brown with a passion......VOTE LABOUR IF YOUR WORKING CLASS.
I think we get the message Eton boy. What you mean by reform of the Royal Mail is selling it off to some of your rich mates so they can milk it as they have done other privatized companies. The tragedy is that Labour who should have supported the RM have butchered it as they have tried to prepare it for private capital and brought in various debatable outside managers.
Don't fall for this stupid party system, don't matter who's in power of the 3 mainstream parties as nothing woulds actually change. All 3 serve the elite family's and bankers and are happy to hand our power to the EU, mainstream politicians are here to sell you idea's you wouldn't normally agree too and nothing else
The Trade Unionist & Socialist Coalition (TUSC) is standing 42 candidates in the general election to offer an alternative to workers, trade unionists, pensioners and young people, fed up with the cuts agenda of the three main parties.
I'm a postie and we are being kicked from pillar to post the current agreement between r/m and c.w.u would leave us worse off! the post will arrive on your door step much later, our pension fund is in the red by 12 billion pounds( not resolved through negociation), and all this is supposed to be MODERNISATION of r/m . When they axed the Muppet Show on tv all the cast where sent to r/m as executives and managers Oh but of course Croziers being sent back to run I.T.V watch ya backs lads!!!!!!!!!!!
Dave/George............I am afraid its all going Pete Tong :
Here is the headlines today:
GORDON BROWN is on course to remain prime minister after the general election as a new Sunday Times poll reveals that Labour is now just two points behind the Tories.
The Royal Mail has been turned from a success story to a disaster by New Labour free market policies, they have only drawn back from privatization because they need Union funds to fight the next election. The Tory ' solution' more of the same! between them they'll destroy what should be a strong national industry. Still New Labour will fight the next election on a neo-liberal platform and deliver the country to the Tories tender mercies!
If Cameron were Prime Minister now they'd still be out on strike after hardening their position because of his tough Union-bashing. The guy really is wrong on everything. Thank God he wasn't PM when this global recession came along.
Rubbish comment. He's the Leader of the Opposition asking the Prime Minister questions in the session known as 'Questions to the Prime Minister'.
He isn't supposed to show the substance of himself or his party in PMQs - he's supposed to ask the Prime Minister questions (about government policy or decisions) - which the Prime Minister is then SUPPOSED to ANSWER.
It's the easiest thing in the world to say that the Opposition has no substance - that will never be tested until they are in power.
he doesnt ask question he just says the PM is weak and doesnt even give straight answers, if he asked straight questions then maybe he would. he also never helps a situation by giving his oppinion decently, instead he attacks labour on everything
I second that, post office so e want to lose the post office, when they strike their business will be lost, and well politicians dont engage the public no more because theyre sitting pretty with the bankers doctors and loyers, i tell you they are evil elites

Here is the headlines today:
GORDON BROWN is on course to remain prime minister after the general election as a new Sunday Times poll reveals that Labour is now just two points behind the Tories.

if the torys get in royal mail is fucked
hestphillian123 1 year ago
The Royal Mail has been turned from a success story to a disaster by New Labour free market policies, they have only drawn back from privatization because they need Union funds to fight the next election. The Tory ' solution' more of the same! between them they'll destroy what should be a strong national industry. Still New Labour will fight the next election on a neo-liberal platform and deliver the country to the Tories tender mercies!

If Cameron were Prime Minister now they'd still be out on strike after hardening their position because of his tough Union-bashing. The guy really is wrong on everything. Thank God he wasn't PM when this global recession came along.

As usual Cameron is most unhelpful to the siuation - nothing but negative sniping. People are completely p*ss*d off and indeed turned off by this.
Nothing of any substance there then....mind you, what can you expect form a party that has made all the wrong calls.
Never trust the (Con)servatives.
tasem30 2 years ago
Rubbish comment. He's the Leader of the Opposition asking the Prime Minister questions in the session known as 'Questions to the Prime Minister'.
He isn't supposed to show the substance of himself or his party in PMQs - he's supposed to ask the Prime Minister questions (about government policy or decisions) - which the Prime Minister is then SUPPOSED to ANSWER.
It's the easiest thing in the world to say that the Opposition has no substance - that will never be tested until they are in power.
zonianfjb 2 years ago
he doesnt ask question he just says the PM is weak and doesnt even give straight answers, if he asked straight questions then maybe he would. he also never helps a situation by giving his oppinion decently, instead he attacks labour on everything
