@crazydrummertcir You have two options. For THAT sound, get a $5000 DW kit. OR, if you want that type of sound, look for 1ply Evans EMAD bass drum heads. That's what gets that sound. I used a clear, but he uses coated so it's hard to say.

@ndw9311 actually the one i customized is over that amount. good god there is no way i can get that at all because i forgot to delete some of the drums in the simulation so the total became 9000 dollars. plus it was birch. and now as for heads, why wouldn't he go remo. evans are good though.

@crazydrummertcir I really don't like Remo. I feel like their tone isn't as good as Evans' and I also feel like as far as toms go they die really quickly, not as in tone, but as in the tone will get killed overtime faster. Less durability. Just my opinion, though.

Also, Evans are kinda more expensive than Remo so if it's a price issue, sure go for Remo, but for the extra 10 bucks you'll get a great sound with expensive durability. @crazydrummertcir he uses the dw woffer base drums... they look like two drums mounted together if you look them up on the dw drum site. i am sure he also has a drum tech that fine tunes his kit... 95% of the drummers out there have no idea how to tune their drum heads correctly. most just install them and crank the shit out of the key and play them. i have alway istalled a pillow in my base to get this type of sound.... good luck

fair enough. but man that would make sense. unless your like dave weckl and can tune your own set to your liking. i am sure tony can tune it fine. i learned from videos to tune the bass just above wrinkles. I have been playing drums for like 7 years now and didn't start worrying about tuning until now and i am a senior in high school. so see. well honestly right now my bass drum and my sets are stock ones you could get from walmart when i was in 8th grade. cymbals are upgraded. so are pedals.

I picked up drumming when I was 10. I was better at it than the rest of the kids so my teacher put me in advanced private lessons. I stopped going and started to not play the drums as much. Watching Tony play has made me wanna practice all day and soon be a great drummer. Btw does anyone know way that one cymbal with the holes is called, it sounds nice wit the music:)
