I've always liked this band, ever since I saw a friends band (Skeleton Ed) open for them at 7th street entry. They are so unique and have so much energy!
I don't think I ever had as much fun playing a show with another band as I did with HOLS. RT Quinlans in Duluth...some place in Iowa...didn't matter. Always great people, and always a great band.
HOLS was one of my favs of all time to see live. Always had good sound. Really tight playing. No nonsense or screwing up songs. Professional rockers but fun as anything. And lots of jumping around on stage. Not an easy task.
Thanks for this Rob, this is as close as it comes now. Nothing against HOLS, but they are just one of those bands that the records never demonstrate how good they were (live). And Barb's awesome Kustom cab.
Thanks for watching! see the video description....
Legendary Iowa band House of Large Sizes took time out during their Spring 2000 West Coast Tour to appear on TV in Seattle on 29 Live ep #149, 5/7/2000.
house was soo awesome live. they would surpass so many live bands by today's standards. you couldn't stay seated while watching house. they are the first indy band i ever cared for. once you recognize a couple of their songs your hooked.
Toured with these guys for a year and a half. Sold shirts and drank beer. No better music on the planet!

I was actually at this recording, i saw them the night before in Seattle as well. The best rock band of the 90's. & nowadays, if they still play.

"stuck in a place - I dont wanna be here!" Being a college student at UNI in the early 90's was the best job you could ever have!
