Best video on this rust issue. Have the same bubbles on the paint, and cant weld so i learned a whole lot. Will save this this video and then in the summertime i will remove my rust. Great tip with the hammer. One question, how long do you think it will last on your car without bubbles? Thanks for the video :-)
Thanks for posting this. My 83 blazer is just starting to bubble on my driver side 1/4 panel, so i wanted to see what i was getting into. This video definitely helped allot, and i will use it as a reference when i tackle the job in the spring.
I like your videos! Thanks for posting. I have a small nissan I need to get some rust and bubbles off. Unfortunately I dont have a compressor, would it be ideal to use an electric grinder?
thanks for the video , although if you had someone holding the camera while you do the work ,we can see the actual work and not the tire 90%of the time..But i sort of have the idea of what you are doing..it is a pain in the butt trying to do both things at the same time., it happens to me ..I just ordered a mini tripod that you can hang on to different things and i will see how that works , it was about $3.00 bucks on ebay...love your choochin" videos..peace"
Excellent Vid m8, Very informative and a pleasure to watch you work. These kind of skills take years of practise, I'd love to spend a 6 months at yours and soak up all that knowlage :)

Shaky-cam! Got seasick just watching this. The camera operator wouldn't win an Oscar for this performance. Keep the camera still for goodness sake - set it up on a tripod and film in sequence .. you don't have to keep carrying it everywhere.
@Tony07UK lets see you do this kind of work and try to hold a camera still! a tripod would work for some things but not always..if you paid to watch the vid i can understand you complaining..but ya didnt pay so appreciate what you learned for free! take care and enjoy the vids..shawn
Hi im no expert but if you spot the rustholes with a mig, grind back then filler, wouldnt that be a better option (provided you have a mig of course.) Im starting to get some bubbles on my 69 Fairmont and im freaking out!!
@xwgs351 the problem is when you try to fill those holes with weld..the metal is so piss thin,it will just keep melting back,if it were real metal,it would work!
nice almost makes me wanna work on the woo paint and all but to lazy to tear into the engine plus with the weather getting hotter that will suck out doors have a good one cant wait for more videos to come back to the old ones got more to watch
How long do ya think that ram will last until it appears again? I learned a lot man. If it stays for a while I do that on my dads truck, but with my truck i need a sandblaster or some shit. I can't wait for that rocker panel rot bucket silverado video. I liked/fav'd. Thanks so much man.
@GarageCrazy that repair should hold up atleast a year...but who is to say it doesnt rot 3 inches from where i repaired it in a year...usually that method hodls up well if its not any worse than this one was
@pisserschannel Sounds good man, My dads truck isn't half as bad as that so he's happy. I think were gonna buy sandblasting equipment from harborfreight and just split the price. But yeah man thanks again, and hope to see more vids soon.
@countonme650 bondo brand filler is junk...its very hard to sand once it is dry...the green filler is for fixing small holes ...the white filler is alot easier to sand and its not as water resistant as the green filler....bondo brand does work ok..but i wouldnt reccomend it...the stuff i buy is made by evercoat and you can buy it in napa or advantage auto stores
