Amanda DID do too much with the song but she gives it more energy than Rhona does.. But none of them can hit the nail to this song like Dawn does.. Dawn NEVER over does this song nor does she under do this song as well.. I don't know, but the first 2 verses of this song up until Maxine's part should be sang by Dawn Robinson and ONLY Dawn Robinson.

Well, I haven't been keeping up with the group these days but the new girl sounds good to me. Terry's voice is still fantastic but as a singer myself, sometimes flem gets in the throat and stifles the notes one's trying to hit. Overall they looked good and sounded good. I look forward to seeing the original line up one day, minus Dawn's or Maxines's ego.

You must have the members confused! Who sang the intro to "Hold On"? Who sang "Don't Go"? "Just Can't Stay Away"? It was all Terry Ellis. The only member that can ease into her whistle register, belt from her stomach, and sing so sweetly in her falsetto that people think she is Dawn (on "Desire)! She definitely has the most power so I am going to assume that you don't know who is who.

Although this video is pretty old, they still sound good. Maxine is back now and the other girl was replaced by Rhona Bennett and now they sound better than ever! You should make it a point to check them out if they come to your city.

The BEST singers were Maxine and Dawn.Cindys good too.Terry tried too hard.She was the one without a sound all her own.Listen to the old stuff and you'll see what I mean.Sounds like Dawn without the power.Maxine had the soul and Cindy had the squeal.Terry just souds like another "good" singer.Once Dawn left,it just wasn't right anymore anyway.Maxine rules!

En Vogue's two strongest singers have always been and will always be Cindy Herron and Terry Ellis! Those were the two ladies that made the group famous!

Its because of Maxine; a lot of people underestimated her contribution to the group. She has the lowest voice (the base of every EV chord); without that foundation... the glue, its just not the same.

Amanda Cole. She was the replacement for Maxine/Dawn between 2001-2003. She left just after they released the Xmas album, but I don't know why exactly.

Shame though, cos she had a brilliant voice and I think she blends in with the group better than Rhona does (the current new member). Still love Rhona though :)
