the song actually is played in C major, but in reality, it's tuned down a half step on the record which would make the actual Key B. However, there are some performances where Skynyrd just plays it in standard tuning instead of Eb tuning. What's the difference though? The guy is covering the song and it sounds damn good.

I played this song in my own variation of the shinedown and lynyrd skynyrd version, and I tuned down each string one semitone.

Ok, that makes sense. The song would be workable in C maj/A minor after tuning down. I read that they did this song in Ab minor/B maj on the studio version. I am not sure if they tuned down or if they actually used the proper open chords. That's what I am trying to figure out right now. I am trying to find a version with no down tuning and proper chords in Ab minor/B maj. So far I can't find any. That includes Tabs and youtube vids.
