I loved it! The actors were great! The Edgar person seemed a little more scared than the one in the comic but I think it made it better! MOre believeable, if that makes sense...Great job!

Nny seems a LITTLE too rational to me- he doesn't rage enough and he doesn't get depressed enough. Johnny's a creature of extremes, he literally becomes FOND of Edgar as if he'd been his best friend for years, and I didn't get that here. Edgar seems too, well, panicky. Edgar's not afraid to die because he has nothing to lose. He's not depressed that he doesn't have friends or family or anything to live for- maybe regretful, but not as sad as this made him out to be.
the NNY actor could have been more....... crazy and the edgar should have seemed a little more relaxed (that's jut the way I picture it) other than that a pretty good vid^^

We both agreed that the voice of the actor was the most accurate we have heard thus far. Nny's hair could have been styled so that it wasn't so tall, and the flashy transitions could have been removed. Overall, it's the best fan film we've seen on YouTube so far. "A" for effort, "B+" for setup. The actor used for Edgar--mostly dead on.
The video effects were a bit much. It made it somewhat difficult to concentrate on what was going on. The music also seemed to swallow the dialog in some places.
Other than that, the acting was very well done and the characters and background were faithful to the comic. Especially the eye painting and the person playing as Edgar. The comic tie-in in the beginning was good as well.

I sorta liked the voice for Nny. At times the voice doesnt really fit in my head but i liked it O.o best i've heard yet. You did a really good job with the scenery too! A very good job actually. Don't worry about the budget its been 3 years of building up our company and equipment since this movie.... i live with a make up artist and my friend is the pyro guy for the waterworld stunt show at universal... so he's our explosion guru.... but you are correct we need a wardrobe expert bad... any suggestions in the la area? I would love to do a whole series of these and put them on a dvd for the die hard fans...
but this is defintely one of the better fan films I have scene. Please don't attempt coffee shop. I can only imagine the budget that it would take to do it justice. what with the explosives.. but if it was done. play the beethoven's "Ode to Joy" since Johnny was listening to that as he killed everyone in the scene.
The music was too loud and distracting, it killed the mood that you might have wanted to set made the film hard to watch. the acting was OK, but too much anger from johnny, Edgar was too frantic, I believe the scene was suppose to convey Irony instead of this b-movie snuff film, which in itself takes away from the whole Johnny theme since He did not kill for any ones amusement but his own. You seemed more fixated on the killing and murder.
If you don't do the coffee shop scene I might have to kill myself. This is the most gorgeous, insane, brilliant piece of art I have ever seen. I can't get enough. I love the screamers you got for this video, they made me smile. As did Nny's speeches.

Is that the one where he plays ode to joy at the end? That would be good. I also like the part where nny first meets the jerks from the movie theatre before he locks them in the basement. The dialogue was funny before he tasered thejerk with his girlfriend. I am surpised how much the scenes in the last three (5,6,7) are forgetten.
We used karo syrup, food coloring and a some dead fishies etc from our local supermarket... if you kats really like the film im open to suggestions on what you would like to see next... We have been breaking down the coffee shop scene lately... is that something of interest?

Yes good effort but you totally skipped a Paragraph Johnny said before Edgar started into his No Fear thing. Plus the guy that played edgar....well I feel like he was too jumpy, in the comic he seems like he is rather calm, not worried. You kinda played up the killing thing too much, like the random screaming girl while Johnny was talking.... The actor for johnny was actually kinda wonderful.
A for effort. The script is flawless, probly cuz Jhonnen Vasquez wrote it. Still though the film is a little lacking. It's very Troma esk. Dont get me wrong I love Troma, but a project such as JTHM should not be Tromatized. Try shooting the same angles from the comics. And the dailog should be more beleavable, Johnny should sound insane not act insane.
ABSOLUETLY WONDERFUL! man you're fucking GREAT> that was without a doubt the best thing i've ever seen on YouTube and it's far better than any of the other little videos on here. the last bit from the 8 minute mark until the end was a bit strange, but was prefectly acceptable given the excellence of the rest of the film. you, dear sir, are brilliant.

Your work is fine, but you need to lax off on the visual effects. Lighting needs a bit of work, and so does your makeup work.
Other than that, I really enjoyed it. It's hard to come by an interesting live-action of JTHM.

Wow, this was REALLY good.
The painting the wall scene was fucking perfect! I loved it.
I also loved the part where Johnny yells, "No! No! NO!"
I have two critiques though.
-Most of the visual effects were annoying, and hurt my eyes. They weren't necessary really.
-The sound needed work, or even dubbing over.
-It also seems like you skipped a line? Where Johnny asks "Where is your fear?"
Either that or my computer sucks and the video skipped.

I can only imagine the budget that it would take to do it justice. what with the explosives.. but if it was done. play the beethoven's "Ode to Joy" since Johnny was listening to that as he killed everyone in the scene.

The music was too loud and distracting, it killed the mood that you might have wanted to set made the film hard to watch. the acting was OK, but too much anger from johnny, Edgar was too frantic, I believe the scene was suppose to convey Irony instead of this b-movie snuff film, which in itself takes away from the whole Johnny theme since He did not kill for any ones amusement but his own. You seemed more fixated on the killing and murder.

If you don't do the coffee shop scene I might have to kill myself. This is the most gorgeous, insane, brilliant piece of art I have ever seen. I can't get enough. I love the screamers you got for this video, they made me smile. As did Nny's speeches.

Is that the one where he plays ode to joy at the end? That would be good. I also like the part where nny first meets the jerks from the movie theatre before he locks them in the basement. The dialogue was funny before he tasered thejerk with his girlfriend. I am surpised how much the scenes in the last three (5,6,7) are forgetten.

We used karo syrup, food coloring and a some dead fishies etc from our local supermarket... if you kats really like the film im open to suggestions on what you would like to see next... We have been breaking down the coffee shop scene lately... is that something of interest?

The props and effects are fantastic! The actor playing Johnny sounded like he was stage acting though, he seemed more robotic than natural, but oh well- incredible effort!

Yes good effort but you totally skipped a Paragraph Johnny said before Edgar started into his No Fear thing. Plus the guy that played edgar....well I feel like he was too jumpy, in the comic he seems like he is rather calm, not worried. You kinda played up the killing thing too much, like the random screaming girl while Johnny was talking.... The actor for johnny was actually kinda wonderful.

A for effort. The script is flawless, probly cuz Jhonnen Vasquez wrote it. Still though the film is a little lacking. It's very Troma esk. Dont get me wrong I love Troma, but a project such as JTHM should not be Tromatized. Try shooting the same angles from the comics. And the dailog should be more beleavable, Johnny should sound insane not act insane.
