  • God bless him. His voice and songs are immortal :)

  • Vigen's music NEVER gets old .i am 54 years old and i will cherish his music till the day i die. I live in Indianapolis and NONE of the famous singers come here.He came here about 20 years ago and sang in our Nowrouz party and it was just wonderfull. One of a kind man. They broke the mold after they made him.I love you Vigen. Baaroon baarooneh zamina tar misheh.............

  • I AM FROM MEXICO TOO, AND CANYOU BELIEVE IT? A FRIEND FROM IRAN LENT A CASSETTE AND THIS SONG WAS THERE... I LOVED IT!

  • I love this song, Vigen's Baroon Barooneh. I play it over and over again.Vigen has an unusually beautiful voice. I learned his Sultana Ghalbam for my trip to Iran in '99. I had fun singing it--whenever I could--we were stopped one time in the park near the big bridge in Isphahan, so I had to sing it whenever I was sure "they" couldn't hear me! I love Iran, the Iranian people, and want very much to return some day.

  • GOD bless his soul.

  • this song makes me so happy, yet sad at the same time, vigen was a amazing artist and he will live long in our hearts!

  • @algodas1 ,My friend I love the Mexico, its food, its people & the music. Vicente Fernandez for one. My country was a great promising country. We had a great King he was peaceloving progrecive but in 1979 Jimmy Carter & the evil Brits staged a revolution overthow the Shah, would not give him a place to die & since than they got us nothing other than death & distruction. They called it the Islamic revolution!!!! They did it becouse the Shath would not give them the oil at their terms.

  • @algodas1 If you learn perisan maybe you enjoy even more :)

  • Begin an Iranian still do not know is it Zemin or Zamin, classical piece by the way,

  • @rostam69

they say once a student asked his teacher: ostad, kodoom doroste, Gaman ya Goman?

the teacher said: be Gamanam ke Gomane!

    Enjoy..

  • @rostam69 EEN AHANG SHAHRESTANIEH : ZEMIN

  • @rostam69

I think the correct one is Zemin, as Zemestan and also Zeman = Time. The word Zem means, in old persian, Cold, as you see the word Zemin stands for a "cold place". Compare to the greek element of cold = Earth

    Vigen RIP

  • Who gives a f**k whether someone calls themselves Christian, Armenian, Persian, Kurdish, Jewish, Shiite, Sunni, Muslim, American, Canadian, Iranian, or whatever... The point is we are all humans - the same flesh and blood - sharing this planet. Get rid of the boundaries and prejudices.

  • thank you

  • my name is golnessa!

  • awesome

  • Viegen yaani khaterate koodaki

    Vigen yanni khatereye koochebaghhaye shemroon

Vigen yanni khaterate norooz wa sizdehbedar

Vigen yani asre tabestoon too hayat labe hoz wa khatereye madarbozorg

    Vigen yani iran wa irani

  • He is Armenian. Armenians dominate Iranian music and science. Andy and Martik are also 2 of the leading Armenian singers from Iran.

  • He is an Iranian with full Iranian DNA, he's religion is Christianity, but Iranians just call them Iranian Armenians, not just Armenians.

i respect Armenians, just as i respect my brothers and siters, but Armenia never had control of Iranian music nor science, in fact, Iran did, in the ancient times, and most likely pre-historic times(in which Iran "Land of Ariyans" had control of almost everywhere)

so in conclusion, Vigen, Matik, Andy, Armik, Ilene, Helen, and many other morearen't Armenian

  • What a Joke...To bad, Andy, Martik, and all the rest of Iranian born Armenians consider themselves Amenians before Iranian. I was born in the USA. I am American, but I am first and for most Armenian. By the way, Armenians are also Aryan. So are Greeks, Albanians, and Latin (Italic). Any group of people who come directly from Indo-Europeans are Aryan. Armenians and Persians both come from Indo-Euros. We have our own language and own history. We have nothing to do with Iran

  • what do you mean "What a joke"?

dude they can't be original Armenians living in Iran, they look Iranian, look at Vigen, his eyebrows look Iranian, especially Andy and Martik, the reason they call them Iranian-Armenian is probly because Armenia is the only Christian nation in the near-east, i know Iranian Armenians that look Iranian, no different, and how do you know that they consider themselves Armenians before Iranian?

    continued...

  • my dear friend..

enjoy the music and leave the racial problems to people like hitler..

Viguen was true Iranian as he mentioned it, he was born there, raised there, and was discovered by his fellow iranians...everyone in...everyone in iran knows him as a rue patriot...as he mentioned it all the time in his interviews...

    \Peace

  • your gay whatever you just said soooo yeah

  • @USCTrojans89 Iran means "the land of Aryans"

  • @USCTrojans89 You must be born in USA , your comments made no sense , Armenians and Persians are brothers forever.

  • @USCTrojans89 Youmay speak for youeself & nobody else. I had met Viguen. He was a patriotic IRANIAN and nothing less; a lot more patriotic than the bastards in power today. Rostam Farokhzad, Commander of IRANIAN forces fighting the Arabs, was from the Armenian region of Imperial Iran, which included the neighboring Georgia, derived from the Persian word Gorjestan, Land of the gorgeous (good looking) people, & later Turkemanistan, land of the Turk Manand (resembling Turks) another Persian word.

  • @USCTrojans89

Iran is a collection of races and religions. Iranian identity is comprised of turk, armenian,arab,baluch,kord,lor.... Iran was the model for the founders of the united states

  • Vigen was the pioneer of pop music in Iran - King of Iranian Pop !

  • you are welcome leili ;)

  • Wow! I am completely shocked and pleased to find this song! My father used to sing this song to me as a lullaby. My cousin in Iran now enjoys this song as well as I do. What a classic and beautiful song!

I am also glad to see that I am not alone and that many fellow Iranians can enjoy this song as well.

Now if you'll excuse me I have some singing to do. "Baroon Baroone~ Zamin a tarmishe~

  • my father used to sing it to me too. you are not alone, maybe every iranian daddy did it! it is just fantastic. peace and love

  • the same as me

Dont you guys think our older singers generation like Vigen have far better Music and voice than the new singers with their songs that have no meaning what so ever? They were singing with their heart and spirit which make them terrific singer. Even our generation love these guys way more.

  • good for you lol

  • hehe same as I,

I LOVE VIGEN WITH ALL MY HEART HE IS THE BEST!

  • The CiTY OF THE GREAT KURDISH MEDIAN EMPIRE!

  • aja7, Hamedan (ECKBATAN) was the Mede capital. I just want to let you know that Hamedan is out of Kurdistan. even if Hamedan is near from Kermanshah. The Kurds is one of Iranians people family. The durdish(Kurd languge) is the same familly than Iranians (or Persian: Indo European language).Rgds

  • Dear aja7, bawonem kurdi zani? ima kama kurdi zanem. I have a lot friend and compatriot Kurd. For me Kurdistan and kurds are and stays one of the more important Iranians-Persians culture and familly. I cannot imagine our country without Kurds. I respect our Kurds compatriot and I am very honorated to be their compatriot.Long live to Kurdistan and of course our mother land Iranzamine.Rgds

  • dude it is historical that kurdish is an iranian family, but who cares?!!! We are one World and one Family no mater what kind of folk!!! we are all HUMAN!!!

  • ARIYAN PRIDE, HOMO-SAPIAN RACE PRIDE

  • Its pathietic to say Iranian Christian...Give me a break, everyone knows that if there is a Christian living in Iran, there definatly not Iranian, unless they were converted by an Armenian. Plus I have cousins who live in Iran and they say they have more rights and freedoms than Persians do. They can drink, eat pork, have there own night clubs and organizations and there own schools and Churchs.

  • presently there aren't many Iranian Christians, why? because of the fucking arab government, before the islamic revelution, when we had the Pahlavi reign, there were many Christians, Democracy, and freedom. after the revelution the opposite happened, many other religions went, why? because they were being converted to islam, or had a bad life-style. after years the regime was dying(and presently it is at it's end, with the election riots)

    continued...

  • continuation:

and more religions came, comparison to the begining of the regime, you see that's more logical oppinion, then only Armenians migrating to Iran, for no specific reason and having their kids grow up in an arabic governed world.

your cousins say they have more rights?!?!?

dude either they work for the government or they were just teasing you.

there is no freedom in present Iran, the most execuation rates occur in Iran..

  • and if you aren't muslim it's much harder to live, especially Christian, which is mostly islam's enemey.

and don't say that Persians rights are Not to drink pork, go to clubs, and not go to church, etc..

those are islamic arabs, NOT Persian/Iranian,

the original Iranian religion isn't islam, it's Zardoshti/Zoroastrianism, the first religion on Earth, fuck islam, it were the arabs who converted us to islam and made us have darker skin colors and features.

  • As a Persian from Shiraz region who speaks Larestani (a Pahlavi dialect), all I can tell you is that "You're totally shallow".

If you believe in Zartosht, then read his prophecies about prophet Mohammad and how he'll off the fires in our Atashkade. Thats why my PERSIAN/IRANIAN nation converted by CHOICE.

Fact is, during Sunnism era of Iran, we were the most productive among the world, but Shiism is a fucked up Arabian trash that was forced on us & with it my poor nation lost its legacy.

  • RIGHT ON!

  • We love you Vigen. God bless you.

  • Many thanks.Helen
