Hey man, great tutorial. I was wondering if you can make a tutorial on Interfaces in general (what they are, how to create them, etc...); that would be really awesome. Thanks a lot.
btn.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() { @Override public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent event) { // whatever You want to do with any Component (GUI obj in JAVA) } // U can do the same with any method in MouseListener or MouseMotionListener });
PS in Russia we say: Brevity is the sister of a talent - good luck =)
@zeusakm he had shown that earlier. the reason I don't prefer that method of creating a listener is it is harder to change down the line. Easier if you have them all in one place. Just my opinion though. Sometimes coding more now, means coding less later. Sustainability and upgradability are the goals of a programmer.
I'm downloading netbeans right now, but in Bluej, which i originally wrote your code down, there is now way to run this. If you make a new Gui() it says there is no accessable methods :|
If you hold your mouse over the red-underlined class (the one which implements listeners), a pop-up will give an option to "insert all unimplemented methods", click on that and the methods will automatically appear.
It's alot simpler than learning what actions are performed by what listeners.
