~When too much FRUCTOSE enters the body, the liver cannot process it fast enough for the body to be able to use it as sugar.+Too much FRUCTOSE leads to Type 2 Diabetes,OBESITY & HEART DISEASE. This was hilarious!! I was showing the commercials to the classroom and selected this one thinking it was the commercial. My mouth just dropped when he got up and walked away, my students were cracking up. My point for showing the ad was to see what the major companies were saying and then show the documentary King Corn. They learned that HFCS is in over 50% of food so how can it be moderated. I provided them with alternatives so they can be healthy eaters.
Nice work with the satire but the guy went a little overboard with the break-up. These HFCS ads are misleading when they say HFCS is as good for you as sugar, what needs to be emphasized is that sugar is just as bad for you as HFCS and you shouldn't be eating either. Not that I recommend breaking up with someone over a sugar-filled lolly.
Fluoride's potential to impair thyroid function is perhaps best illustrated by the fact that -- up until the 1970s -- European doctors used fluoride as a thyroid-suppressing medication for patients with HYPER-thyroidism (over-active thyroid). Fluoride was utilized because it was found to be effective at reducing the activity of the thyroid gland - see the Thyroid Section in the Health Effects Database at
Man they must be regretting ever putting out a commercial in the first place :D fabulous! Truth will out! Across the world in every tongue in every subject! We woke up :P
CHEMRISK - a research company hired by the Corn Refiners Association has recently taken down it's YouTube channel.
The removal was in response to negative public perception resulting from the discovery of dangerous levels of MERCURY in HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. Apparently it has become a liability to defend the sweetener.
See one of the last remaining ChemRisk videos at CornRefinersAssoc on YouTube.
Isn't Gordon spelled with an o, and isn't Gekko spelled with two k's?
And while we're on the subject of things you don't know: Dr. Chi-Tang Ho, director of the "Food Science Program" at Rutgers University, presented evidence of the link between HFCS and diabetes, especially in children, to the American Chemical Society two years ago.
hey bro amazing video. But i wish it would just contain 1 more thing in it "that it contains toxic Mercury" because if you go check in the Washington Post an article states that HFCS contains deadly mercury
Lots of things contain "deadly" mercury, vegetables, the air, your drinking water, and likely if you buy and use CFL bulbs those conatain mercury too. It's not the fact that mercury is in these things, it is how much mercury does it take to be harmful. The amount of HFCS you would have to consume to get enough mercury to be the slightest bit harmful is so much that you would likely die from the high intake of fructose and glucose before you even got relatively close to the harmful mercury level.
@new01 i advise you to due a little more research on the subject of high fructose corn syrup, there not just talking about the mercury that's bad about it there's a whole list of things. It's like your saying "hey its okay to add more mercury in our bodies" i mean come on now.
All he did was test 11 sodas with HFCS to a DIET soda control. Hmmmm I wonder why he didn't do a comparative test of beverages sweetened with sucrose? Probably because he knew he'd come up with the same result.
BTW, he never provided evidence for a link of HFCS to diabetes, in fact no one ever has.
Thanks for spreading worthless disinformation on the internet. Next time do some in depth, unbiased research and you wont make a recording of yourself preaching BS for all eternity.
@SoCalSatire his name is probably a play on words, as gecko is spelled gecko, and gordon and can spelled either way. He probably likes the character gordon gekko, and also likes geckos lol. but everything else you said is right in my books. however, anything in excess is bad, even regular "cane" sugar. so even if they are one in the same as mr gecko debates, neither is exactly good for you to begin with. so i guess its either we stick to the veggies or say fuck it and die happy ;)
What is he talking about he already is obese. Look at his chin. This decent looking woman shouldn't have messed with him in the first place.

That's bs. HFCS is no more a cause of diabetes and obesity than regular sugar. It's not even debatable anymore.
