  • so many haters lol WOW silly fanbois! i like the idea but i wouldnt do it....

  • Have you done anything else with this car? You should do a video on how you did it.

  • As tuners, we should be LOVING this idea. Adric22, we must talk! I wanna know how you did this!

  • Ruined DSM? Dont worry...if you're looking for one of these nice "racecars" you can find them everyday in your local trailer park. At least he used a better looking car than a goofy Honda or some other disposable crap car.

  • nooooooo!!!!! a dsm has been ruined!!! it is meant to be a badass race car not a tree hugging, tofu eating, joint smoking hippie car!!!

  • @BxBaNgEr828 - being that I bought it out of a junk-yard with a blown engine, I'd venture to say it was already "ruined" before I got ahold of it.

  • @adric22 um no just because it has a blown engine doesnt make it ruined :) making it electric ruins it.

  • @BxBaNgEr828 C'mon dickhead. I love fast assed DSM's too, but you're not at all IMPRESSED with this?

  • @kingdomboost its nothing new ive seen cars be converted to electric before. ive seen a honda converted to an electric motor...

  • @BxBaNgEr828 Well yeah it's kinda nothing new, but it's extrememly rare, especially on this level. I mean c'mon, if this is common where you are I'd love to see it, because it doesn;t happen here. That's the point. The DSM is a great platfor for this.

  • @kingdomboost True but im not amazed. it doesnt happen everyday but its not all that amazing..

  • can you light them up?

  • Dont listen to the haters... Awesome car, and good for the environment ! 5 stars

  • Another DSM ruined......Thats some tree hugger shit right there.

  • Being that this car came from a junk yard, I'd say it was pretty much "ruined" already. I could tell the previous owner had modded the thing to pieces and all the valves in the engine were bent. It was ruined by too much racing, and I gave it a second chance at life!

  • You can find a jdm 4g63 turbo motor for real cheap and throw it in there, then the car is brand new, would be perfect for a dd

  • @adric22 you jackass. your realize that just because the motor blew, that you can ether fix it , or get another 4g63. if all the valves were "bent" as you said, YOU CAN JUST CHANGE THE GODDAMN HEAD!! NOT THAT HARD YOU TREE HUGGING PIECE OF SHIT!! im cool with electric cars but, DO NOT FUCK WITH TUNERS!! YOU MAKE ME SICK! real dsm owners or fans out there need shells! all we need. then its not that hard to do another 4G63 swap!... ive made my point.

  • @wilsob26 - The car was rotting in a junk yard. It would still be there today if I hadn't taken it and restored it. You do what you want with your cars, and I'll do what I want with mine. If I want to guy buy up every one of them and burn them, that is my business.

  • this is sad. and found this in a junkyard? with a body that pristine. we would kill to have a find in a junkyard like that up here in the midwest. but the money you probably put into that thing you could have built like 2 or 3 6 bolt motors to over a good 300-400hp. its sad to not hear a 2-step of a dsm link or the BOV off of the upgraded 16g turbo we could be hearing...but whatever man. to me this is just sad...

  • @Master7770 You realize that you can get more performance out of an EV then you ever could from an ICE? With an electric motor, you get 100% of your horsepower at 0RPM.

  • @Nabeelco And do you realize how fast a performance electric car drains its batteries? Or perhaps how much it costs to make a fast electric car to start with? Not to mention how many batteries it takes? Who gives a crap what it can do if it can only do it for 30 mins before a 12 hour charge.

  • @Master7770 If the technology were mass produced, a lot of these problems would go away. And with a good charger, and good conversion, you should have more then enough range for you day to day commute, and you could get it to charge in about 3 hours fully, or a 1 hour fast charge to 80%.

Don't take my word for it, do the math yourself.

  • @Master7770 It was a non-turbo so I'll let it slide. If someone wants to rip out a 4g63 turbo let me know because I'll take it off your hands :)

  • @spyderman4g63 Actually, I am doing that exact thing. I have a fully built motor I'm getting ready to part out. To convert to electric. Feel free to message me.

  • @Master7770 as a turbo DSM owner, I would have to say I am about to convert mine...for sake of reliability. I'm selling all my gasoline related components. I will be able to convert mine for $500 after selling my parts. Perhaps you should look up "white zombie electric car" and tell me how much it costs to get your 4g63t up to a 10.4 1/4 mile. Well hell I'll just tell you. I've spent $18,000 on mine to get to an 11.1. Electric is dominating.

  • EV IS THE FUTURE !

  • That's a 1st. Congrats on finishing a project.

  • thats pretty nice, but...why a talon?? i like the fact people do this..but go buy a kia or something...not something nice.

  • Would you want to drive a Kia around?

  • lol 72 volts.

  • Awesome job. You have a great start - 20 mile range with top speed of 50mph. How much do you save (electric cost vs. gas prices)?

  • Electric cost is about 2 cents per miles vs. about 13 cents per mile on gasoline. However, it will take several years to make up the difference in cost of building it.

  • And that initial cost is what runs people away. That and General Motors Propaganda that scared people away from their own product. "How does it go", and "what if it dies" were in the adds with NO answers.

**That and the music was kinda scary too

  • Well done! Feels good huh!

  • KM/Kwh?
