  • are u mazda boys still having engine failure? LOL

  • Mazda should give a years worth of gaz and a case of oil with it.

  • Rx8 will its production summer 2012 and 2013 RX9!

  • Why did Mazda die down the Horsepower from the 2004 Mazdaspeed RX-8 to this. I saw less weight, but why not keep horsepower and torque same in a lighter car??? Power to weight is what its a bout in a sports car!!!

  • Oh-oh-oh-oh my god mazda rx-8 is one sick ass car :DDDD. ZOOM ZOOM forever mazda!!

  • @italiankilla58 Too bad it is being discontinued in the US.

  • @NewDivineWind I know right. I saw a video about it and it said under the disription that the RX-8 will be discountied in june 2012 but the rotary engine will still be made. I dont get why mazda would discontinue the rx-8 its one of the most popular sport cars in the US. Oh well hopefully i will have enough money saved up b4 june 2012. And what do u think about the RX-9?

  • If you wanted a practical, fast Mazda, you should have bought a Mazda Speed-3. By no means is this a shoddy vehicle, I've driven them and they are indeed very firm. However, I believe they could do without the suicide doors. I love the motor in this car, but only past 6000RPM. The car has literally no bottom end -- you need to launch it from 7000RPM if you want any get-up from a dead stop. All considered, it's a nice GT car, but I still prefer a Speed-3

  • NIIIICCCEE

  • what is the song in the background name plz ?!?!!?

  • @FISHZILA It's a soundtrack from Audionetwork. They provide music under license to audiovisual professionnals. It is not available in retail.

  • I like this car, except that it gets an avg of 16 to 23 mpg, the new v8's get better mpg, plz mazda increase the mpg's on this car and you have a solid car. Don't know alot about rotary but hope it doesn't get in the way of it cus i know a big essence of this car is the fact of it having a rotary engine.

  • @MegaNerdrage That's the problem with rotaries (or so I've heard). They're really smooth and produce a lot of power from a relatively small size, but they are real monsters when it comes to gas and oil.

  • huh they did alot of talking about the styling of the car but didnt have the common sense to add the car braking distance, accerlation from 0-60, skidpad #

  • i miss my r3

  • @360mmspider Why sell? I guess some financial needs?

  • @HatenSuffering because i wanted to mod a car... and a rx8 is not a car for that. ya it looks cool and rides nice and is a fun car ... but it just doesn't win the races. but there was something special about it. and i would like still own one, but not as my only car.. .

  • What is its price ?

  • how are rotary engines?? i can imagine the seals and other things can go out.

  • even though it is a sports car would the extra doors classifies it as "sports car" when it in inshored?

  • over 9000 Revs!?

  • why this car is not in puerto rico?

  • Rather have three screaming girls than just one.

  • Its OVER 9000!!!!!!!... revs. lol

  • sick. wicked.

  • I don't understand why this car gets a pass on gas mileage. A V8 that makes more than twice the HP and gets better mileage that's 5x as large gets slammed for being a gas guzzler but nobody cares this car burns so much gas??

  • @SauceCaptain if you drive one you'll understand why nobody cares what the fuel economy is. While you do look at the fuel economy when buying a sports car, it's about the LAST thing that matters to you when it comes to buy.

Also, it's a normal thing for the rotary engine to have these fuel numbers (real world isn't quite as bad as the epa numbers) so it's not a shock. If you drive sensible you can make the fuel economy better. Drive/buy one...you'll understand. :)

  • I got one. Great if you corner or want the sound of a race car. But it doesn't have the horsepower to compete with other sports cars in a drag race. The car is very light and nimble and perfect for city life, but not for country or long distance driving.

  • Are these good cars im thinkin about getting one but im not sure how they are for durability and reliability. somone help please!!

  • @beeftothetaco123 me 2 . they seem very well priced , i think they run well

  • @boonhqmonaro i hear they can flood if they arn't turned off properlly and they eat the oil being a rotary engine and they have to be driven everyday.. soo idk im ify' about it

  • @beeftothetaco123 we drove an auto 1 on week end. it went very well. i am looking at a few next week, i need to find out about service cost, do they eat oil ?

  • @boonhqmonaro Yea i was wonderin about that to. Ya your supposedly suppose to top off the oil every second fuel up! because its a rotary engine it uses it to lubricate it. Dont use synthetic though because it creates a film and it just builds up and it will reck the engine

  • @beeftothetaco123 I have an '07 6 speed very fun to drive but not as a daily driver, lacks torque and to really get it moving you have to really rev it and that consumes a lot of fuel, i average about 15 mpg and if i had the option to purchase again I WOULD NOT, i like torque, maybe the future 16x rotary engined RX may do the trick, i view the car as a 4 wheel motorcycle, its more fun than the mustang, i test drove one, get the 370Z IMHO!

  • Zoom-Zoom!!

    ROTARY RULES!!

  • Looking at buying an 05 GT, how are they on insurance?

  • @Brendanlong66 I just bought one and ive had 1 accident and im 20 and its only 160

  • @Brendanlong66 i would pay 500 bucks less a year for an 04, then i do for my 2000 subaru forester. on paper the rx8 is a 1.3l 4 door sedan, the rear doors are a great loophole.

  • @aluminumfalcom agreed, the rear doors on the car are probably the most brilliant loophole in automotive history for anyone with a family! That and they are pretty useful too if you have friends that want to tag along...as long as they bring fuel money. :p

  • They need to add a turbocharger.

  • @YonMoor there is one its called the mazdaspeed edition

  • @kulluminati777 Thats the mazda speed 3. There is no speed edition for the 8, only a body kit.

  • I'm thinking about buying a RX8 when my '07 Mazda 3 is paid off. 100K mile warranty can't be beat but MPG is a concern and I wish they made one in yellow.

  • I own 05 GT in red.. had it for just a little over a month so far... no complaints... drives really nice... and women notice :)

  • Ive had mine three months now and I love it. and now that Ive found where the power curve is(takes a few days of driving as the rotory is really different) its pretty quick and the handling is well phenominal. to me it feels alot like an s2000 with four doors as both these cars need lots of revs but its very satisfying.

  • "Not a neck snapper by any means" Yeah because it's only got 159 lb*ft of torque. With 232 hp, that's not enough.

  • the car is pretty light, and the engine weights like half of what a the normal engine is, which makes it a little better, but still it lacks power, a nice turbo should do the trick, idk why they dont offer a mazdaspeed turbo pkg, or something of that nature.....

  • I've thought that myself. MAZDASPEED R3 sounds pretty good.

  • I own an RX8...and yes...I love that sound. lol

  • I hate you
