Rivieras did it in 64 (after a New Orleans artist named Joe Jones wrote and recorded it), the version often heard on oldies radio. btw at the end, it would be impossible for the kid to walk over like that ...where are his legs? Only other way would be if Anaheim Sta. were on a hill, which it isn't.
loved this commercial and was so glad that finally the NL beat the AL specially since I'm no fan of teams in the AL (particularly the Yankees). Just a thought, too bad that giant kid in the commercial after he put the "A" on top of the stadium did not walk across the field, could have stepped on and squished a few AL players under his foot as he was going across (just kidding - lol).
Lol yeah I thought it was outkast as well. This version is much better than the other versions I found. I wonder if they redid it for the all-star game commercial.
Angels Fans are too excited to talk, here comes another World Series advantage for the American League, and another chance to show off beautiful Southern California, as long as it's not in Chavez Ravine...
My heart like skipped a beat when I saw timmy and his shades! -3

@NathanFincher
It's not a new version. It's actually the demo from 1973.
