  • Good review. What songs were you playing in this video? I don't recognize a lot of the riffs you were playing, except, of course, for the Cliff Burton and AFI riffs. Also, I heard this bass has a neck dive problem...is that true? Thanks.

  • What brand strings you have on them?

  • @archzurfer It's been so long that I'm not quite sure, but I think I had it strung with GHS Boomers.

  • 1:44 Cliff Burton \m/

  • Thanks for the review - I've been looking for decent video & audio review on the 5-string version, and you certainly provided it! That's a pretty massive B-string for the price, and as the only other T-Bird I'd like is Mike Lull's custom "T-Bass" @ over $4K, the Epi Pro is looking more and more like a purchase... :D

One question: any idea on the string-spacing @ the bridge? It's kinda a make-or-break for me as I'm not a full "3/4 inch-19mm" guy but like a it tighter on my 5s.

  • @scarred2112 I wish I could answer your question, but I actually ended up selling this bass a couple of months ago to fund some unfortunate personal expenses. As a result, I can't measure the string spacing for you. I'm pretty sure it was full 19 mm spacing, as the neck was much wider than, say, an Ibanez Soundgear 5 string.

  • Played one today. If you play metal it's a very good bass. I don't make genre specific remarks about instruments but this is one is an exception. On an Epi bolt on you can play any genre. But this bass any way I twisted and turned the knobs I kept thinking metal, heavy metal, thrash, speed metal, death metal.

  • Sounds like a decent representation of the T-bird Pro. Wish the mic was a little better for the shoot, but you have what you have. Good job!

  • That helped me a lot, I love the pick sound on this bass. One question: The TBird Pro 4 Sounds like the Pro 5 ?

  • @kreepyn Glad to hear the video was helpful. The pick sound of this bass is my favorite tone, too! If there is a difference in the sound of the Pro 4 and Pro 5, I have not been able to detect it (tried out both at Guitar Center when I bought the Pro 5).

  • @Houstonbassdemo Okey, Thanks a lot. ;)
