I hate to be the one who has to say this, but there's no such thing as any "jolly" country. People have the skewed idea in their heads that one country or another is all wonderful while others are bad, when in fact ALL countries have their issues when it comes to people.

New Zealand use 26-27mHz am/ssb c.b radios cool as... Nz marine radios use uHf, and kids toys are using FM yeap c.b are the cheaper way for local calls if you love budgeting R/T i think you get charged for using the Repeaters :)

i take the 5 watt handheld uhf radios to work and tune them all to channel 35, put the ctcss on so i dont hear anyone and work on the Favco. It pisses everyone on the repeater station off so much, i take the ctcss off and listen, they are so pissed off (the repeater users) it makes me laugh so much.

I really think that UHF has got some great potential.Yes I have heard the same rubbish talk on my own local repeater, but if the local radio operators all pull together instead of fighting amongst them self i think this issue could be fixed over time.Think about it, All kinds of people are listening and children as well.Some of the language that gets broadcasted is disgusting ! Yes it is still very bad & the worst CB repeater in Sydney is SYD07 run by crims as far as I'm concerned & used by lots of them too, full of hate, deceit & illegal activity. Death threats are very common on Sydney CB radio too, mostly on SYD07.
