The Dark Rock 2 will be released in April.

  • @bequietclips

I had given up on the idea that dark rock pro c2 would eventually hit the market and i was starting to look for other aircoolers to replace my current cooler.Well i guess i will wait until April, since i have a couple of your dark wings and i'm very pleased.I hope C2 version will have better mounting options,as stated in this old vid of yours, cause aesthetically is very pleasing

  • release date ?????????????????????

  • I think most Be Quiet products are underrated. Nobody seems to use them but in my experience they make very decent gear.

  • Its now 'the beginning of next year.'

Does anyone know when the C2 versions will be released.

I will buy the pro c2 instead of the Noctua D14 if it is available soon.

  • They look great, i want one.

  • will i be fine air cooling a gtx 590 im not over clocking?

  • These coolers don't fit on the EVGA SR2!!!!!

  • Have you ever heard the term white elephant....

  • German Accent? :D :D :D

  • i <3 be quiet!!!

  • I want one of these, will they be available in Australia?

  • Love the look of this thing I will definetly be getting one of these!

  • This is very funny. Today I was decided to buy the Noctua nh-d14 but after watching this video I really want this. Did they really change that horrible mounting system? That crappy mounting is what convinced me not to buy it few months ago. If they really changed that I will buy one right away. I dont even care how big the new fans are. WOW. It looks so sexy, so amazing. Man I really want that cooler.

  • @louwn

Well, according to our data, the second cooler improves the cooling performance slightly. That's also confirmed by some reviews of the Dark Rock Pro, where it was testet with just the middle fan. On the level the Dark Rock Pro is, it isn't very easy to improve the performance further so even a 2°C difference is a huge difference.

  • @bequietclips I can't seem to find any information on the web; but when is the updated C2 revision roughly due to be released to the market? (If there's no specific answer, is there a 'Q4 2011', 'Q1 2012' etc.?)

    Thanks.

  • @AmH032uTuBe

The C2 update should be available at the end of this or the beginning of the next year.

  • @bequietclips Okay.

And are you going to be bringing out any 200mm case fans? I was going to buy some replacement fans for my new 650D I ordered; and I've already ordered some Xigmatek fans in 120, 140 and 200mm all in the same design. Although people seem to have their doubts about the quality of Xigmatek's products.

I was previously and still am now thinking, about purchasing the SilentWings fans in 120 and 140mm, but want to see a 200mm model as well.

    Thanks.

  • @AmH032uTuBe

no there won't. The reason for that is that we believe that tha market for big fans (like 180mm or 200mm) is just a niche market, where we hardly can sell any fans.

And they would be spare parts because many cases have fans of this size preinstalled.

So there are no plans to do fans bigger than 140mm.

  • @bequietclips Well that makes perfect sense. And in most peoples' opinion, Corsair shouldn't have used 200mm fans for the front. I've chosen to return the Xigmatek fans and either looking to get the SilentWings or GELID fans.

Do you know if the BitFenix 200mm fans are any good? [20mm so they will fit inside the 650D; although I'm shifting the HDD/SSD cage over anyway]. Essentially, I'm just trying to find a quality, yet quiet fan for the front.

  • @AmH032uTuBe dude NZXT fans work awesome, so quite, and if you have a fan controller its just that much better to control speed/sound of all of them.

  • @bequietclips i´m waiting for the c2 models guess I cant buy it for Christmas

  • @bequietclips Hi, I own a Dark Rock Pro C1, but my first impressions of it weren't that impressive. Idle temperatures were good, but on load the cooler seemed to have a bit of trouble keeping my cpu cool.

After I lapped the contact-plate at 2000 grit the effect was massive: Idle my cpu runned 3,5 degrees lower, but on load the difference was 10 degrees!

Now my phenom 955 runs at 27-31 C Idle! (Core temp are about 24,5-29C)

So if you want to improve this cooler, just start at the lower part!

  • @blackstonekenny

I wonder how you can be disapointet about the cooling performance, when the cooler isn't released yet (and we also dind't release any information about cooling performance9

  • 2 fans on 1 cool block? push pull? thad is just a marketing standard.

push pull stands for a fan pusing air truw a cool block and a fan pulling it on the back side of you pc ,not on both sides of a cool block.

2 fans only work a little better and for the added noise its useless.

wat better cooling than a 120mm tower cool block? buy water cooling

  • It might be black... but the performance of this cooler disappoints me :(

    I'm a fan of be quiet :) got 2 psus :)
