I kinda like the tv series so far. I'm reading Wizard's First Rule right now too and there are significant changes but oh well atleast the story works. Both are enjoyable. You can't expect them to blindly follow the book, stories have more detail and where its interesting to read I think I might be bored watching it. Besides there needs to be more Fantasy on tv, there can never be enough! (Or atleast until the stories repeat themselves terribly)

Terry goodkin has his biggest fan directing this movie..Sam Rami. They are going to make each episode so that it can stand alone yet still move through the first book. That way if someone who has not read the book will not feel like they have missed an important story point if they miss one show. For instance they might add in hoe george cypher stole the book of counted sorrows and impliment that into an episode to complete one 1-hour story. It will be true to the book and more. No fears.

From what we know in the books there are only a few minor things "wrong" a) Richard should be taller. Kahlan should look the same age as him. The biggest fault I have seen - and probably the easiest one to fix is that Kahlan has blue eyes here where in the books she has green. That is mentioned many many times in the book.

I agree. I have no problems with the cast realistically speaking. Horner can have a "raptor gaze" if he tried, just look at the promo picture, it would be dynamite if she had green eyes though. I am still going to watch every episode. Nothing will come close to the books though, and I don't expect them to, that way I wont be disappointed. Looking forward to November 1st!
