The Arena in Superstar ultra was a legitimate challenge. True it would kick your ass but it had something about it that made it so you would always come back and try again everytime it owned you.

Corona Mountain is very hard. But if you just take your time its easy as hell. And the boat part try staying on the bottom of the boat when you turn. Trust me ive beat this game about a million times. ive also beat the game about 70-89% in a day. And when you fell on final boss that was probally just a little glitch and a little of bad luck

Man, I forgot how much of a bitch launch base was. Atleast with Sonic & Knuckles attached it took away the third boss and just had Tails drop you off at Mushroom Hill....

I remember when I fought that last boss. I almost got him when the timer reached 10 minutes and I died. It respawned me back with my time at about 8 minutes....making it impossible for me to beat the game. That was a hell of a rage quit...

I recently beat Goldeneye 007 (PS3) on 007 Classic. The last (or only real) boss fight against 006 is retardedly hard. There is a quick-time event afterwards where he dies, but the battle beforehand would be a good candidate. Anyone else experience that fun level?

I have never been able to get past that MM2 stage, EVEN WITH SAVESTATES. It's all because of that terrible boss. If the Mega Buster worked on it, it'd be a totally different story.

I think Cannon's Core should be on here instead of Launch Base Zone. If you're going for all As, that stage is the DEVIL! It's rediculously long and when you finally manage to get to the end and think to yourself "that HAS to be an A!" You'll end up with a B, then a broken TV screen.

@pussyater Even that is hard to maintain. The level is long with a non-straight forward direction and few rings compared to other levels. And once you're out you have to collect 50 more rings without being hit once! I am good at sonic3/and knuckles and I love playing thru the game as hyper sonic, but that level is still hard to do straight thru as hyper.

I can't think of another level that is as hard to get thru without losing rings due to time.

when i played super mario sunshine a few years ago, it took me so long just to get to corona mt. and then like 3 months trying to beat the beggining, and then when i had that down, it only took me about 3-4 trys to beat it, but the first time i almost beat it, i was one jump away, and then the map just fell apart. it just crumbled for no reason, and i died.
