  • Where did you purchase the collapsing green screen and for roughly how much if you don't mind my asking? Is it the 5x7

  • @CJLittos You can get these at Amazon for $49.95 - Fotodiox 5'x7' Collapsible Chromakey Green + Blue 2-in-1 Background

  • how did you do the camera image on the monitor

  • @chasetech1 My computer monitor has a video in port, so I ran the video out from the camera to the video in on the monitor.

  • We have a PC camera which you can take photos and make videos.

Trouble was I couldn't seem to get the vids working but pics r ok.

  • What color is the "green" in "green screen"?

  • Chromakey green. But you can use any solid color background, as long as the color doesn't appear in the foreground.

  • Thanks for your reply. This green is used because it's rarely found in nature, and therefore is the best choice for our purpose. My question was more along the lines of: If I wanted to paint, say, a wall, what color would I have mixed at the paint counter?

  • Chromakey green. That is actually a paint color. You can find it on the internet.

  • I got a Canon camera, and I wanted to use it for greenscreen, and I called Canon to know how to get it onto my laptop, she was in a bad mood.

I now know I need the firewire cables.

  • If your Canon Camera has firewire out, you can use it to create chromakey.

You will need a video editing program like Sony Movie Studio Platinum to add the chromakey effect to the greenscreen.

See my other youtube videos - they show how to do this.

  • Yeah, I've did it somewhat with my Flip Video Camcorder. But I was appearing almost like a ghost.

I tried to mess with the settings, but I think its the camera.

  • View my other youtube video on chromakey settings in Sony Movie Studio, and you'll see how to get great chromakey effects

  • I have, and I've seen others, the Flip Video kind of kills the quality.

  • You can use FireWire or USB (Your camcorder will have one of these or maybe both) If it records to a SD (Memory Card) slide it into your SD slot in your computer and follow the simple instructions to download the videos

  • sir Bill where can I buy that green scereen portable you have? can you give us a link.. thanks sir..

  • the big camera on the tripod on top of the monitor, is that a High definition camcorder.

  • That large camcorder is a Sony VX2000 - standard definition only.

    A great camcorder with 3CCDs.

  • ooo, i thought it was high definiton. im hoping to get a cheap HD with 40GB hard disk, but ill have to wait on that because my parents spent money on christmas stuff.

  • How did you get the picture-in-picture on your desktop? Thanks!

  • My Dell monitor has inputs for computer, video, svideo, and cable. It also has a picture-in-picture feature.

With that, I can run the video from the camcorder to the computer monitor, and turn on PIP

  • Cool! I will try to find something like that for me.

  • thanx

  • Question: Does the laptop on the table have a FireWire port and if so, 4-pin or 6-pin?

  • The laptop does have a firewire port, and it is a 4-pin.

The laptop is a Dell XPS Gen II.

  • I think I have the same Sony camera you had on the tripod, only I didn't have that many stckers on the back of my viewfinder. I also have a question.

  • how do you get the little corner video of what its recording?

  • I run the video out from the camcorder to the video in on my computer monitor. The computer monitor has 'picture-in-picture' option, which allows me to see two input sources at the same time. I set the small PIP window to the camcorder source, and use full screen for the computer source.

  • not to bother you but i have a couple questions...

What cords did you use to hook up to your computer?

And were did you get your green screen? Thanks ☺

  • I connect the camcorder to the computer using a firewire cable.

  • I got mine (the same one on the video) for about $35 on eBay from Amnova's Store.

They usually put like 15 or 20 of those at the same time...all starting at $0.01

  • Were do you get your firewire cords?

  • eBay

  • I am amazed by your spirit of generosity and the quality of material you continue to upload. You also take time to answer questions and are willing to share all of your hard-earned knowledge and experience with everyone. You set an admirable example for others. I wish you continued success.

  • The camcorder sitting on the tripod is a Sony VX2000 and it is the one I use when I produce DVDs for resale. I shot this YouTube video with the RCA Small Wonder camcorder - which I wouldn't recommend for most types of videos.

  • what camcorder is that and what videos have you used it in?

  • Love the green screen you use, where did you get that from please.
