hello..me from solomon too...and i wanna ask...if u have the tikopian haka dance, can u please upload it??..i heard rumours from my tikopian friends from nukukaisi in makira that one group went to samoa ..them perform the haka n the stage collapsed...i luv seeing it someday..greetings from Malaitan wantok..
Interesting comments, tOKEDIs. Thank you for sharing that bit of history. There are two Polynesian outliers in Micronesia: Kapingamarangi & Nukuoro, I am from Kapingamarangi. I have been searching for our roots until I stumble on this. The 1600's time line seem to make sense as my language(Kapingi) is so similar to that of Tokelau & Tuvalu - now Tikopia.
Denei hua dagu me e madagnudu ai gidadou. Godou ga dumalia mai nia me gu hai hala.
You just cant tell, try to find some pictures of Malukuan ppl (Ambon, Maluku, Moluccas, Spice Islands, etc). We are Melanesians aswell but dont look much like Vanuatuan ppl for example
Ok ure really dumb..i know u are melanesians because u live in melanesia..but ur blood is polynesian... thats why they look like samoans or polynesians..because polynesians voyaged there and settled there..das why i understand their langguages..and thats why they dont have any black melanesians living among them
Tikopia, Sikaiana, and Ontong Java, are Polys, majority of their population fled Atafu (Tokelau) during a war in the 1600's. They are closely related to Tokelau and Tuvalu in terms of language and culture. Just Google it!

How precious. They could be a bunch of kids on an American street. I hope we learn we are one people soon.
