Most E36 owners install a Signature Motoring performance intake kit for around 9HP gain. Cost is a mere $150 or so, best value per HP gain in the E36 line.
Install time if only about 30-45 minutes in most applications. I have one in my 94 325i cabrio.
Crazy nice sound. Most performance guys install a Signature Motoring performance intake kit for around 9HP gain in the E30.
Install time is about 30 min, maybe 45 for two left hands. LOL
I’m happy with my 94 325i, but the only performance mods are sport suspension and the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $150. Signature Motoring kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money. See my channel videos!
-Adds 9-11 HP
-Never replace filter again (uses K&N filter)
-GREAT SOUND
-Installs in maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime.

@Noobkuchen Turbo size matters heaps on making power, with a Garrett t25/t28 bush bearing made 147hp at the wheels at 10psi, with a larger ball bearing gt2871r(.64 exh) which im using now it gained 23hp on the same boost, due to having larger exhaust and compressor wheels. I highly recommend you use gt28 series Garrett turbo, and full boost is around 3500rpm and they whistle crazy
@Noobkuchen im not sure how much power the car has standard at the rear wheels, I know that at the engine standard they are 85kw, and the car has achieved 127kw/170hp at the wheels on 10psi, it has basically doubled the cars out at the wheels. Lots of effort and time and not cheap if you start using all the expensive fittings and accessories, plus the engine management side of things is tricky.
Hi, i have a 318ci e46, 1.8 8v 118bhp, can you tell me is your engine also the 8v version? how mutch did it cost you? is it a kit? does it brake down or overheat? please give me all the detalis, i want to turbo my coupe, it's a good car:)
@dieselboybmw im not sure which engine he has...seems ike the 16v twincam of a 318is. U can hear that the engine is diein when he lets go of the acceleration meaning that its not a good balance. He prob needs to warm up de engine with de accelerator for 10min or so, nice petrol cost. If u ask me, no point, at least not like him. 318ci isnt de best engine to turbocharge but if u decide to do so...dont go over 1.0 bar or ur engine wil be gone after several miles/km
@Noobkuchen The engine is the single cam m43, the car was running the standard computer at the time and the fuel pressure was kept very high for safe reasons, now it has a piggy back computer and have 10psi through it with no problems will post video soon..
for the manifold we just got the original exhaust manifold and sent it to get the flange marked out and got plasma cut then just use steam pipe bends to make the rest
I cant stop watchin this
