  • Heavy rain

  • for 1997 this is fucking amazing graphics.

  • Please tell me that isn't Nolan North's voice again. Damn, give someone else a shot.

  • @osbely No it was done by someone else actually.the game was made in 1997.

  • this is 1997. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • what system was this game for?

  • An Absolute Classic Awesome Game , Westwood did great with the genre

  • I love this game so much, just pure enjoyment.

  • I think ridely scott along with either team bondi, bio ware or visceral could pull this game off.

  • westwood had some fantastic graphics for their day

  • I've always thought McCoy looked like someone but I was never able to place him for some reason. I've just got it - Pete Sampras. Totally. It's like McCoy was modeled after him.

Also, dammit, McCoy sounds a bit like Tom Hanks.

  • this intro seems like a cheap fucking knockoff of a great movie. really lame

  • I love how they have the Vangelis music in this.

  • i remember using floppy disks to install this gem haha

  • @Jonaldinho13: It was on CD ;)

  • @kerdougan it was i know but mine had floppys as well!

  • nostalgia overdose...

  • This was made on 1997? hell of awesome

  • Where could I get a copy I wonder?

  • @JackBower15 It's abandonware.

  • Played this when it first came out, can't believe that Lisa 'Cuddy' Edelstein was the voice of Steele, one of my favorite characters in any game. Hope she get's a starring role on a new TV show.

  • The days when games used to have soul and emotional depth.

  • @Agrippa521 ... and horrible voice acting. This isn't too bad.

  • bought this game for just 9 pound..can't believe that someone would sell it =)..

  • just got it of pirate bay, wiks perfectly on win 7.

    great game, amazing athmosphere.

  • Everyone, just listen up right now. * Please*.

I'm 42 years old. I've been gaming for many years. I have shelves full of games, collected since the 90s.

I've played 300 games, if I've played one.

You guys need to trust me. This game is AMAZING. Even by today's standards.

This game will always be in my Top 10. It's special.

You owe it to yourself to play it, if you can find something to run it. You won't be sorry.

  • @kglaser11 Yeh, I cant get it to run on my newer machine. Will have to dig out my gateway with windows 95.

  • @kglaser11

Agreed. First time I played through it I was like 10 and I didn't have much of an idea of what was going on or what I should do but I loved it.

This game really has aged like wine. I love its alternate setting to the movie and yet how it remains true to it.

  • @kglaser11 Absolutely correct, well said. This was the first game i ever played on my pc and nothing has ever come close to matching it. It just goes to show that there is more to games than just good graphics.

  • @kglaser11 I'm a huge fan of the book, movie, and all things cyberpunk. Any tips on if this will work on modern systems (windows xp, etc)?

  • @kglaser11 I'm a console and pc gamer since about 1989 (I was 4 years old back then) but I missed this game, I'll give it a try, thanks

  • oh I wish it was that simple "all you got to do is ask..."

  • Opening it in a pet shop is clever. Nice. I want to play this game right now.

  • one of the best games ever

  • Even today the game looks brilliant.

  • Also, these graphics are VERY impressive for 1997.

  • Anyone else think the creeper in the glasses looks like Robin Williams in One Hour Photo?

  • Looks amazing.

  • EA or someone needs to re-release this game in HD or make a sequel...

  • man this was an awesome game, this takes me back

  • I never played this game but the movie is amazing.

  • Awesome game. Plus the number of possible choices are just staggering.

  • One of the best videogames ever made.

  • i wish i had this game, i only had it lent!

loved it, played it for weeks, i want it!:(

so long ago, so many tears in rain!

  • I still have the original copy of this game with the box and everything. Almost 13 years old now!!

  • wish I had a copy of this game

  • This was one of the finest video games I had ever played. To this day it remains one of my all time favorites.

    Blade Runner

    Grim Fandango

    Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

Those three games were what I played back in high school. Loved them.

  • Un TRES grand jeu !!

  • i have an embarrassing confession. i never even knew this was based on a movie.

  • @geddoe316 lolzzz

  • Can't beleive I've lost this game, I wanted to play over the weekend.

  • the graphics in this game are pretty amazing for 1997, my computer wasn't fast enough to play it back then, and now it might be too modern ;p anyone know if it runs ok on win xp?

  • @scarypoultry It runs fine. But, the police training stages with the dummies...it doesn't work for some reason. Other than that. I had no problems with the game at all.

  • Great movie and a great game. The Music, the graphics, the gameplay and the storyline gaves me really the feeling that I was the bladerunner. I think I install this game again. You can finish this game in differnt ways.

  • I never knew that Abby from NCIS was Lucy...

  • @moxiemason Yeah afew of the voice actors have gone on to some really good tv projects Pauley P is Abby as you said, also Steele is voiced by Lisa Edelstien who is Cuddy in House M.D and Guzza is voiced by Jeff Garlin who is Jeff in Curb Your Enthusiasm

  • Just bought this game on Ebay for £5. I luv adventure games and i,ve pretty much played them all. I was looking at various reviews for this game some very good, some bad. In my opinion this game is not only very very good it,s totally ground breaking there,s something about this game that other adventure games could have followed on from but it was never done. If you like adventure games and you like Blade runner you will love this.

  • Tyger Tyger, burning bright,

    In the forests of the night;

    What immortal hand or eye,

    Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

  • Does anyone know where this game can be downloaded? Surely in this day and age there is a site that has it and can be done.

  • the visuals must be cool and all but the atmosphere is so disrespectful to the movie

  • @DaveTheSodaGuy0 You obviously havent played it

  • luv this game....still have it.....4 Disc, worth buying.

  • How many cd´s were used for these game? Do you know how can i download it?

  • @lolomixed64 It is a 4 disc game.....But if u do the full Installation u will only use 1....If u do a regular installation, u will go thru all 4 disc during the game.

You know what, I'm sure u can find it out their but I don't have no idea where. Where u live, I might burn it and send it to u.

  • Thanks you´re very kind. The only problem is that I live in DOminican Republic.

And I don´t know how could i get it from you? Do you think that is possible that you send it to me? I can paid the cost of transportation. I think it´s easier to send something from USA.

  • @SilentJayWest Yea it's possible to send anything to any place...I had a friend send me something from Italy.

  • i want to play this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love this game, it kick ass.

  • The girl playing Lucy is Pauly Perette, AKA Abby from NCIS

  • @greenheather really?

  • @George32027 Bit late to reply, but yes!! :)

  • @greenheather oh thanks good to know

  • @greenheather Daaaaam, lol yea ur right that is Abby from NCSI.

  • How did they get these graphics in 1997? The spinner scenes looking into the cockpit are amazing... better than most games today, imho. Amazingly faithful to the movie as well.

  • i've played this game more times, beaten it so many different ways... ... it's still one of my favourite even tho it's so old, lol

  • I remember beating this game two or three different ways. Blade Runner is one of my favorite movies and this game was a way to live it.

  • can you imagine that these are the System requirements90 MHz CPU, 16 MB RAM, 2 MB video card RAM, 4X CD-ROM drive, DirectX 5.0, 150 MB available hard disk space, Windows 95 / Windows NT 4.0

games actually looks pretty good and its from 1997

  • Blade Runner was the first PC game I ever played. At the time I never even knew it was based on a film, and then I saw the film and loved that too.

  • @starkweather100 It's exact the same with me :P I was 9 when I played this game, it was my first computer game as well :D And then I saw the movie!! Really fuckin' love the Blade Runner style, does anyone know other games like this for pc or xbox 360?

  • @89Motorhead89 Well there are plenty of old point&click adventure games for PC, but cant remember any that has same kind of style or atmosphere that Blade Runner had.

The point&click adventure genre kind of died by the end of the 90's, FPS and RTS games attracted much more players.

  • You may also like "Beneath a steel sky", which has a very similar atmosphere. It is a few years older, so it has not the best graphics, but it is for free by now and worth a look!

  • @starkweather100 Yea, same here (expect wasnt my first PC game). Anyway whats even more funny was that I didnt understand english almost at all at that time (I was 8 and we begin to study english usually at the age of 9 or 10 here in Finland). So I understood very little what was going on whit the story, but still I loved the game and somehow managed to beat it whit 3 diffenrent endings. It's just too bad I didnt undestand the story, the game would have been even more enjoyable :)

  • The girl with the pink hair sounds like Abby from NCIS

  • I am jealous. I just got a copy of this, and it does NOT begin with this vinette. Please tell me why?

  • Funny, your girlfrind thinks i am a GOD, u little dickweed.

  • did u learn to walk when yo was ten y.o.?

  • I think you got the Rip Version.

  • Comment removed

  • from what year is this video game?!

  • 1997 my friend, more than 12 years old by now. 'twas a technically impressive and remarkable game in it's day and age for having some very impressive 3D rendering done in real time, without the need of a 3D graphics accelerator.

  • the game is form 1997. Pretty excelent game if maybe slightly confusing in places.

  • anyone know where i could get a copy of this to run on XP. i love this game, i miss it so much. am a huge fan of the Ridley Scott film and the Phillip k Dick novel< "do androids dream of electric sheep" which the film was inspired.

  • Westwood man... Westwood.

  • Holy shit, the memories I have from this game...

  • 2019 huh.. that's not too far from now :)

Too bad Atari didn't live to see the day :)

  • Future of capitalism right here :)

  • This game truly does the movie proud!

  • when i was little i played this game and i was and still in love with it. I randomly saw a bladerunner VHS at a blockbuster i shreeked went home Dled and here i am

  • Guzza you fat prick !

  • "schizoid grandma doing the shimmy in her underwear in the 12th sector"

  • I didn't know schizoids would do that. They meant schizophrenic imo.

  • is schizoids not some nominal slang for a schizopgrenic person?

  • Slang

  • I think this game would be great on The Nintendo DS using the stylus would work well with the games enviroment. If someone created a petition for Blade Runner to be updated on the DS then I would sign it.

  • "Tiger tiger, burning bright..." I always remembered that line and what a badass that dude was... haha... haven't looked up any footage of this game til now, but remember it. I don't think I understood the storyline at all when I was playing through it though... (too young)

  • Thanks...great ...well done game....too bad they didn't mess more with the actors voices to blend their voices into the environments...(A little reverb or echo, or recording them outdoors here and there would have worked wonders...)

  • This is one of the best and immersive games ever made!!!!! i really felt like I was there, when I was was younger..... does anyone know if it is free to download somewhere? I mean legally ? :D

  • westwood did a really good job for this game , i really liked it

  • I love the advertisement at the beginning, in L.A. panoramic: Instead of PAN -AM, WEST WOOD.

    *****

  • If only Westwood had survived its consumption by EA, then it might still be around to see 2019. Too bad, huh?

  • I still have my copy, it's one of the few games i owned as a kid that i still have...yeah it's that good :)

  • I remember playing this game when it first came out. I got so caught up in it, sometimes I actually felt like I was in this world.

    This game was just amazing.

  • @jroberts7387 I absolutely agree. Still cannot grasp why it only got reasonably good reviews. I found, and still, the game an absolute stunner.

  • I love this game, especially all the different endings you can get (I've achieved at least 10 different endings) that's something most games don't give you.

  • 10!?!? Wow, my whole life i thought i did ALL 2...I got some work to do now because of you haha! Probably just watch them all on youtube though haha

  • lol there's a total of 13 so I haven't done them all. I've uploaded the FMVs of the endings I have achieved (minus one - where Lucy and McCoy are both confirmed humans). Check out my profile to see them.

  • Man, I wish they just made these games playable again on new pc's. Or maybe they could make a Blade Runner II or something. This was by far the best adventure game I have ever played.....

  • i was thinking exactly the same! i want to play it soo bad again! it isnt playable on windows xp?

  • I just played the whole game on my XP. I did the max install and after the first act, right before the scene with the rasta and the fat man, changed to cd 2 and played through the rest of the game. Pretty sweet.

  • so amazing animations even technic has gone better but still like old animations.

  • I bought my first PC just to play this game.

  • TherePitchures is right it's quite a game.

  • First Time I played this game I was 5 over 10 years ago and even today the game is a good enjoyable game its got somthing in it that games now a days dont have

  • i totally agree with you...i was glued to this game as a kid

  • @TherePitchures IMO that's not a game that should be played by a 5 year old

  • This game quite simply envelopes you. Even today it is a uniquely enjoyable experience.

  • One of the best game with its atmosphere.

  • What is strange about this game is that out of all the Adventure games i have played such as Monkey Island, Future Wars, Operation Stealth, Legend of Kyrandia, Lure of Temptress and a whole shit load of other Adventure games, this was the first one where i could get NO-WHERE!! It is a brilliant game but i found the most difficult i have ever played.

  • Yeah, it was kinda of difficult.

  • I think you didnt played Dracula for PSX.

    DUUUDE Thats a difficult game!

  • @Gabrielvogel

I never owned a PSX :( during the

Playstation year i was using an Amiga

which had some brilliant games :) So

I missed out on most PSX titles, but

i wouldn't mind getting a hold of an old

PSX and trying that game ;)

  • I never knew until now the actress who played Cuddy in House did voice work in this game.

  • dnd i play duken

  • Probably the best movie video game ever. I cleared it and even ran into Dekard on some cases. i wish i would not have gotten rid of the game.

  • You can purchase this game for about 20 bucks in very good condition on Ebay and it works very well on XP,so you can get it again if you wish.

  • vista and xp have a compatabilty option ,right click the file that starts the game and go to properties and then compatability then click 95 or 98 whatever works and it should work.

  • Bought this on ebay years ago, it's well under rated.

It's really atmospheric and in keeping with the ethos of the film.

  • amazing game. cant believe it was made in '97.

  • I wish they'd make a new version of the game.

  • 1:20 is just like Shadowrun's Intro.

  • The voice of the pink hair girl is like Scarlett Johanson voice isn' it???

  • The game is listed on imbd (internet movie data base) dot com. They started doing movies years ago and on that site Pauley Perrette is listed as having done the voice for Lucy, the pick haired girl.

I was pretty surprised! Pauley Perrette is a pretty hot, but I didn't realize that she was the girl who did the voice for Lucy. You can see her on the show NCIS.

  • ..is a pretty hot chick*

  • This is perhaps my fave PC game ever. The only game that can rival it is Fallout.

Although the replicas were seriously freaky and scary! O_O

  • yea man fallout 1 & 2 were amazing and so much fun but blade runner is by far in my top pc games of the 90's

  • You can't play this on XP or Vista can you? :/

    Prolly a fix...

  • My game runs on XP just fine...

  • well i can't play it

  • Wow that was 1997 and its still looks great!

  • Yes it does still look good. Moody. Atmospheric.

  • bone of the best games ive ever played. Supeeeeeeeeerb

  • "Nothing even remotely interesting but hell.. If I was gona root through trash at least my expectations weren't too high."

  • that fat guy's voice sound's like that guy in full throlle?

  • I wish they would make this game for PS3 .

  • So....are you Deckard in this one?

  • yes duh

  • Come now, this guy speaking in the clip doesn't sound like Harrison. I thought it was possibly another Runner.

  • Duh to you, that's not even close to resembling Deckard. In voice or looks.

  • that comment was months ago, things change move on .

  • yeah, but it's still fun to egg people on, just to see if they actually get mad... no hard feelings.

  • Duh!

  • Nah, if I remember correctly the main character's name in the game is Ray McCoy.

  • I play this about once a year.

  • wtf..i never knew there was a bladerunner game!!

    Dam I need this

  • This game is awesome!

  • Hey, you wouldn't happen to have video to the some 12 different endings for the Blade Runner game, would you!? If you could upload those that would be awesome!!!

  • needs a remake

  • WHEN. WHERE. AND HOW MUCH?

  • one of my favourite games
