Until the lead vocal comes in, it DOES sound like Take 6 because they have the personal to do this song exactly like this. Boyz II Men doesn't, so this is layered studio work. Not that they don't sound great live, but there (were) only 4 of them. Now there's 3, the guy who sang Bass isn't with them anymore.

What I like about this version is Boyz II Men hit the second key change like the way Intro did it back in 93. That key change always added that extra umph and turned it up a notch.
