Darwin described the means by which traits are propagated through time and space. But he did not address the issue of the means by which living organisms exist in the universe. For that we need thermodynamics. Thermodynamics specifically describes systems that persist through time but CYCLE matter through them, so that they are never made up the same stuff. Yet they persist!
I am thumbing this video down because I think it's junk. Why did zencat01 favorite this video?
What a bright shining star You are! You are quite a mystic. It is a wonderful thing to see proof of Humanity Awakening. I literally found this vid by using "Stumble Upon". I see it has been awhile since you posted this so I am going to watch more on your channel as soon as I am done posting this as I am eager to see how you have progressed since then. Loving Regards. i know that when people lose a limb they still feel it and have itches which must be scratched.....i think we are the love that holds particle and wave together we are the light of our selves
good stuff! don't forget about the part where the humans develop diff't technologies in order to keep themselves occupied *denial of reality* while in the background *of the collective consciousness* we are building a giant-internet-brain which will one day function on a planetary level.!
don't worry, I have not forgotten the giant internet brain, but what do you mean 'will one day function on a planetary level'? one day? It's functioning right now. If I had to guess, I would say it's already self-aware too, but I don't know if we could ever have evidence of that, so it's just a guess.
One of the best videos I've recently watched. Great job Denito... I've had the same thoughts for quite some time, though I had the term 'pattern' instead of 'shape' in mind.
denito9474, this is a very profound video. There are times when I really find myself in doubts and confusion, and I think the time has come again. I have a question.
Now at the end of your video, you say yourself strictly is not immaterial because there is nothing else that makes us up except something physical, but on the contrary, through out the video, you seemed antimaterialistic (I might have misunderstood you on this one).
I can accept that we are all reducible to what the atoms do, but I don't think that means what we are is actually what atoms do. I do not equate them to be the same, while accept that those are reducible. What do you think? Isn't nothing something if it forms stars, planets and us and our mind?
Take the metaphor I tried to use by using that filter with the dots. Everything on the screen is just black dots. Some of those black dots are arranged into the shape of a face. But the dots come and go. They are not me. But they do make me up. Perhaps what is me is the shape that persists. That shape is immaterial, it is the gaps between the dots. 'Me' is whatever is organising the dots into that shape, not the dots.
Great vid. By refering to "nothingness," I don't think you are meaning to take a nihilistic perspective (one in which all our human striving after something better, higher, brighter, clearer, etc. is fatuous), but rather you are describing what someone on a spiritual path might call "emptiness," or as the Buddhists say "sunyata." Sunyata, which could also be translated as no-thingness, refers to the impermanence and flux underlying all existence.
The Dalai Lama has held symposiums with physicists and written books about the similarity between this Buddhist notion and the modern understanding of matter and the patterns it finds itself flowing around in. There is indeed a convergence occuring. Science and spirituality are by no means antagonistic. They both seek to better situate the human being in reality so that suffering/ignorance are avoided.
Yeah, I definitely don't mean it in a nihilistic sense. This is a less direct response to your vid than I was intending to make but i hope you can see what I'm getting at.

"I don't see," said the Caterpillar.
