It's probably a Hellfire missile delivered by air. The AGM-114 is over 5 feet long and carries a 20 pound HEAT (High-Explosive Anti-Tank) warhead. Depending on how close it was to the dude, he would likely have been vaporized and/or cut into tiny little pieces by shrapnel. It's unlikely that he could have survived the blast intact.

What you see is most likely the missile casing, or a large piece of shrapnel. Something as soft and squishy as a human body would not stay in one piece.
