  • No way hes getting through a porthole that has water coming in through it, BUT he had more than enough time to exit the room and lock the hatch from the other side. fuckin idiot of a character.

  • @gregpphoto Did you ever even watch the show are you one of these dumb fucks who sees an out-of-context clip on YouTube and thinks they know what they are talking about? If you actually watched the show, you'd know you sound like a jackass right now.

  • i was seriously hoping charlie would have said "ill see ya in another life brotha" to desmond would have made my life

  • smeagol... why does it cry, smeagol?

  • omg everytime never fails to bring me tears, but this is one of my fave lost moments.. charlie did such a sweet thing.. I miss this show!!!

  • To those of you wondering, "why didn't him swim through the hole?" Charlie said in Season 1, episode 2 that he wouldn't swim.

  • @MissRickiLynn If youre about to die, you will swim just fine.

  • this brave soul! i loved him so much throughout that season, amazing guy!

  • fucking crying

  • Des, where r u ?

  • I cried so much when I saw this for the first time and he died :(

  • Fun fact:On some wall in NYC somebody's written 'not penny's boat'.

  • @imahalfeatencheese I'm not normally an emotional man, but I agree, when the music started and he showed the message I started crying my eyes out

  • The god damn music at his death always gets me in the worst way...

  • ugh. this video still makes me sad.

  • I cried here!

  • Best scene in Lost!

  • This is one of the two scenes where I cried while watching Lost. This, and the final scene was the most touching

  • Comment removed

  • Watch the epic show, you will get it.

  • For all the people asking why Charlie (the man who drowns) didn't just escape: Desmond (the other guy in the clip) had a vision of the future where Charlie's girlfriend and her son get off the island. In order for that to happen, Charlie had to die so the future wouldn't change and they can get off. He sacrifices himself to get them off the island.

  • @DougLAnderson and also the door locked from inside...

  • @DougLAnderson So Lost is science fiction? Just cuz someone has a vision dont mean its gonna happen.

  • Actually, the water would stop flowing in after the whole window would be underwater (cause there's no way for air to get out then).

  • Why didn't he swim out the window?

  • My love, Charlie Pace. I miss him so hardly. I will always love you charlie.

  • Oh my gosh I just watched that episode and I can't stop crying .. my god..

  • @arrowcomix the other survivors of ocianic flight.

  • @arrowcomix it was his destiny to die. and his death saves the others.

  • @alittlewallflower

please correct me if im wrong here. But didn't he use weights to help him get down faster, so he has enough breath and doesn't need to use strength.

  • @alittlewallflower

nah, swimming up is not possible. Firstly I dont believe Charlie has the capacity to hold up so much oxygen to swim up to the surface. Secondly there is atmospheric pressure. The air in his lungs will continue to expand and expand as he reach higher and higher to the surface and then he'll eventually explode. Thats why they say to hum when you're swimming up in diving to clear the air in your lungs.

  • Why didn't he just swim out the window ?

  • @SuperRockfrog He cant swim out the window because the pressure of the water coming in would force him out again.

  • @beckaish No I mean swim out the window once the room is filled with water so there would be no pressure to push him back. He should of waited till the room was all the way filled and took one last breath and swam out the windo.

  • @ArrowComix It's pretty obvious. He locked the door to prevent Desmond from getting in when Mikhail had a grenade. By the time the water was rushing in or at least by the time Charlie processed what had just happened, it was too late to unlock it because the water level was too high.

  • @alittlewallflower he just should not lock the door anyway... just escape and run! there was absolutely no reason for locking the door. ^^

  • I died because he had to safe Claire and the Aaron.

  • I'm crying, again!

  • best scene ever

  • SPOILER:

    they were all dead anyway.

  • This still makes me sad watching it again, I adored charlie.

  • no comment man. so sad

  • People ask why didn't he leave if he had a chance? well if he left, the guy wouldn't have blown up the sub, and it was fate. Still, LOST was a good show.

  • nice memories...too bad they fucked it all up with season 6 and the horrible finale.

  • by the way, he obviously could find a way to survive, but.....shit happens, he's still a hero

  • drown is one of the most terrible deaths i think

  • i cried and i don't even watch lost.

  • he might have fit through the hole

  • @frankp4 thats what she said

  • @frankp4 then what?

  • Comment removed

  • @frankp4 He wouldn't have made it to the surface. Did you not see the guy kill himself with a grenade?

  • @dfoots Yea, and, so, what? That guy is dead. This guy isnt (yet).

  • Who the hell doesn't like this video?

  • Couldn't he just get out and THEN close the door before the explosion? I guess he couldn't have locked it then, but did it have to be locked?

  • @alexsisrox112233 i think he was kinda tired of living with fear and being a burden on Desmond since Desmond was busting his ass to save Charlie's life every day. Like Desmond said, he was going to die in one way or another. So that's how he chose it to be.

  • @alexsisrox112233 He could have just shut it, and the water pressure should have held it closed, but he knew that desmond would have run straight into that room to talk to penny without knowing what was about to happen, and he knew he was gonna die soon anyway. He also probably didn't realize there could have been another way out, since he didn't know if they had scuba equipment to get to the surface. He died a hero. That's how he would have liked to go.

  • why did he have to do that? i don't think he needed to die. he should have just tried to lock the door from the outside or something or both of them should have tried to go up to the surface of the water

  • @seungseiyee He knew that Desmond would stop at NOTHING to talk to Penny.. Locking the door with him inside was the only way

  • greatest and saddest scene ever

  • what episode and season was that plz tell me !

  • @Allan9798 trough the looking glass, the third season finale

  • name of the song?

  • @elcristianiko7 good vibrations by the beach boys

  • He could escape just going out from that room..

  • @MrProfesorius then they would both drown

  • Charlie bit my finger

  • charlie was my favorite... T-T

  • Does Desmond say thank you?

  • i cried watching this the first time :'''(

    i miss lost

  • Nobody mentioned the track in the past 1 year of this video ...

Think half of the emotional load comes from there, it's called: "Life and Death" check it in lost ost vids.

  • Mítico! qué bueno!

  • crap. sitting here with tears in my eyes. again.

i just wish pippin was there to see him go :(

  • انا بكيت عند هذه اللقطة .. إنها التضحية من أجل الحب

  • why didnt he just get out and then close the door?

  • @ArrowComix are you stupid?!he had to die to save them!!

    ;(

  • @ArrowComix I thought about that too but then I realized that when I watched it again the door closes only from the inside...lame

  • @ArrowComix Maybe the doors can only be openned and closed from the inside... I don't remember right now.

  • @ArrowComix In any case, the water could not enter if the door watertight was locked or otherwise could not exceed the window

  • @ArrowComix he was told by desmond that if he died claire would be saved, so he sacrificed himself, altho we now know that claire wasnt saved anyway.

  • @ArrowComix your right, hes a dumb ass.

  • @ArrowComix The door only close inside

  • @ArrowComix The water would have pushed the door open.

  • @ArrowComix you can only lock the door from the inside

  • @ArrowComix cause the door would only closed on the inside... dumbass

  • @vatltatl If you're going to be a jerk, at least learn how to construct a sentence so you don't look like a STUPID jerk.

  • @TidePools im dont know how to speak in english so shut up bitch

  • @ArrowComix Because someone said (I forgot who) they saw Claire leaving the island in a helicopter, and in order to do that....he has to die...

  • because this is charlie's destiny .... like everybody in island

  • @ArrowComix It's an inward door that can only be closed from the inside.

  • son of a bitch that immortal mikhail.

  • if charlie hadn't closed the door on himself, couldn't they both have just swam out the way they came in?

  • @ZippoNick he was sacrficing himself for claire and aaron, because he knew he was going to die eventually according to desmond's visions

  • Can't decide which was sadder, this or Sun and Jins death :(

  • GOD THAT PART MADE ME CRY SO MUCH! I love you Charlie! Q_Q

  • I have that written on my hand right now.

  • Charlie Pace R.I.P :(

  • Saddest scene in all of Lost.

  • the most heart-breaking moment ever.

  • really?!?! what an idiot.. he could've saved himself... it's called going out the door before closing it...

  • @breakcoma7 Yeah but according to Desmond, if he didnt die Clare and Aaron wouldnt get off the island, he died for them.... if he wanted to save himself another way he could of just swam out the window when the room filled up lol

  • this was very sad but if you think about it charlie is still floating around in that room he has been for three seasons

  • I can't believe I'm crying again! I thought I'd gotten over this scene...RIP Charlie!!

    You will be missed.

  • @crazywhales hardest scene to watch in the hole serie...

Still crying to its to sad

    Charlie were my favorite

  • forgot how sad this scene is

  • not pennys boat

that's a great lost moment for you there

  • i know i'm slow, i've watched this so many times, but i still don't know what that loud, echoing clanking noise is, can someone enlighten me?

  • @Lfeodorovna The station was used to guide submarines to the Island. What would guide submarines? Sonic pinging.

  • @Lfeodorovna I guess its the guy with the grenade banging on the hull

  • Whoops. Time to bawl like a baby :(

  • he could have SO swam out the Porthole.

  • @Caonification pressure would be way to hard

  • how would u know

  • @Caonification just look at it haha

  • I love Charlie! Lost writers are jerks! They totally could have written him to swim out of the porthole!!

  • charlie asked to be written out iirc, because he was annoyed at being a secondary character

  • @Jmerzio

no dumbass, Dominic (Charlie) had a relationship with Evangeline (Kate), thats why they killed him off!

  • @XyVex13 They basically killed everyone off...so probably not the reason.

  • Aww de mis escenas favoritas, creo que Charlie era un gran personaje de esta serie, y la pareja de Desmond y Penny es de las mejores. Lo malo que ya esta apunto de terminar Lost.. :(

  • best show ever

  • Gives me chills every damn time. Most brilliant, emotionally intense show ever created. ... and Dominic Monaghan ... you're a king, kid.

  • Who is Penny?

  • @th3echelon89 Penny is the girlfriend of the guy who is trying to save the guy who died , she was searching for them on a boat , but days ago it apear a strange boat saying that was from pennys and now he found out it was a lie and then write on the hand before he died for warning his friends

  • So Charlie's saying that NAOMI lied about from where she came from. She told that she came from Penny's boat.

  • @FlyWestbrookFly lost is not for everybody... best show ever made

  • saddest moment of Lost

  • damn you lost for reminding me that I have emotions :[

  • Poor scene for me because, you know, the room cannot be filled up with water entirely. His hand cannot overcompensate for that error.

  • when i saw it first time.. my god, i am so cryid and couldn`t believe. thats was so emotional and hurt. love Charlie :(

  • Not Penis Boat!!!

  • I giggled muchly

    XD

You've ruined Charlie's death for me now!!! lol

  • "ill tap out 'good vibrations' " lol

  • i didn;t comment as soon as it finished.

    i cried for 10 minutes.

    then wrote this.

ive havent cried like this since ghost

  • Does anybody know the title of the song at 3:47 ??

  • It is the 2nd half of Looking Glass Half Full from Lost season 3 original sound track

  • saddest moment in lost history, long live charlie.

  • CHARLIES COMING BAK!!!

  • Thats not supposed to happen .... omg charlie no...

  • Definitely the saddest scene on the show.

  • I love this scene.

  • Why didn't the daft twat run out and shut the door behind him?

  • Because desmond said that if he dies, claire (and everyone in the island) will be rescued!

EVERY TIME I SEE THIS, I CRY!

  • (THIS SCENE)

  • that's the best scene of the entire show, no doubt about it

  • when the drumming begins, thats when its really suspenseful.

  • This scene is so goddamn sad. I liked Charlie =/

  • OMG

  • en realidad charlie se moriria igual, eventualmente el aire se quedaria sin oxigeno por el dioxido exalado por el mismo y se asfixiaria.

soy fanatica de este episodio... tengo una remera que dice "not penny´s boat"

  • There is a very big mistake....of Physics....charlie cannot die.....try to put a bottle without his cap into a bath-tube,or a tank,a pool,whatever......the water level cannot go higher than the bottleneck.... :D

    Charlie lives...eheh

  • ...it'd be fantastic if he's alive! =D

  • the universe would keep on trying to kill him.

  • i dont get it

  • You have to see what leads up to it.

  • Isn't that only when the bottleneck is turning upside down? :D the hole in the hatch where the water comes in, is in the side of the wall. Though I get your point - I sooooooooo wish that your theory was true! I haven't seen this scene without crying. I have tried to watch it a bunch of times trying not to cry, but I can't. It gets me everytime.. I cried for a whole week when I saw it the first time!!!

  • The Greatest, The Best, The Missed Charile :(

    I love Charile

  • the Hero...!!!

  • amazing clip

  • the most touching seconds in lost history, charlie you are a hero!

    R.I.P. CHARLIE

  • @KarelDLZoete I'd have to say the most touching seconds are in "The Constant" with Desmond calling Penny

  • I was so happy when i saw penny but so sad when Charlie died :(

  • i cried!!

  • me to!!!!

  • This was the sadest moment in LOST, Charlie was my favorite character, and I was even going to stop watching the show if he died when Jack and Kate found him in the tree. The music is what gets me, it really touches your emotions, but at least he died a hero...even thought Claire doesn't get off the island (yet) like Desmond predicted. The other sad part to this is when Desmond and Hurley find Claire and says while crying "he's dead."

  • what the fuck was the guy with the grenade doing
