should i get lama deluxe pack or honey bee king 2??? i have a huge paddock and my friend will get the opposite one to me so i don't know?? i like the idea of flying inside with the Lama but can it cope with the wind??
is this heli easy to fly and did you have to much work on it before you flew it or did it come rtf and how much harder is it to fly than a lama because i have a robins 22 which is lke the same and am looking for a bigger challenge is this the right helicopter?
I see yourusing the brushed motor and ESC. Has the motor burnt on you yet? Mine made 4 flights but I ordered the brushless at the same time so swapped it in, what a difference.
This one was like number four. The motors are piece of s**t. Have also upgraded since. It was hard to believe that they let this brushed combination out. Other chinese are even worse though. Like Walkera line - take my word DO NOT TOUCH Walkera :D
consider HH gyro. Carbon blades are nice. Tail servo can be digital(faster). Besides that best thing to do is lubricate ball links and moving parts well w teflon oil :D much smoother. I have also upgraded rotor head w more bearings since but that is not a must.
or just buy a belt-cp and just change gyro with a futaba gy240 for example and only if you want a better rudder servo and you'll have an excellent heli.
just useful to know that engine/ESC upgrade is a good idea. Check the tension of the tail belt so that the belt teeth do not "jump" over. Also link lenght and basic adjustment normally needed. Not RTF out of the box as it says. There you go :-)
Nice flying. I got that same heli and i had a lama v3 for 3 months before and av had 4 flights and am not as good as you lol and ive already spend £30 on it =s
What an upgrade dude !

hey, thats only the stock gyro yeh?
i can never get my tail to stay straight.
no matter how hard i try and fine tune it.
it always seems to wanna turn one way lol :<.
should i turn the gain on the gyro?
does that help a bit lol?
mke15 3 years ago
use trim for small and moving servo for bigger correction. Turn gain until you get tailwag and then turn gain a bit down from that point :D

ok, thank you very much. ill giv it a shot :).

Your answer is: if you need to fly outside go for HBK2, Lama is, even the deluxe is inside heli unless there is like zero wind outside.

I learned with a walkera Venom 3DXL never got it to fly but got lots of great spare parts. Many fit the Trex 450 I have now.
